‘HSM 3′ Wins Big At Kids’ Choice Awards

HSM3“High School Musical 3: Senior Year” took home top prizes at the slime-filled Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles Saturday.

The Disney musical was voted favourite movie, while star Vanessa Hudgens was named favourite movie actress at the 22nd annual awards, which took place inside UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion.

Hudgens’ co-star Zac Efron thanked the fans as he accepted the movie’s trophy. “Lately, a lot of people have been taking credit for bringing back the musical,” he said. “The truth is we’ve known who’s been responsible for bringing back the musical all along. It was you guys!”

‘Race To Witch Mountain’ Sprints To No. 1 At Box Office

Race To Witch MountainThe Disney family film, Race to Witch Mountain, won the weekend box office in fine fashion, grossing $25 million, according to Sunday’s estimates from Media by Numbers.  According to ew.com, that is the second-best opening ever for a movie fronted by Dwayne Johnson alone, trailing only the first feature that starred the former “Rock”, The Scorpion King, which banked $26.1 million in its 2002 debut.

The Rock’s Divorce Finalized

After 11 years of marriage, The Rock’s divorce from Dany Johnson became finalized May 19, according to a detailed settlement agreement filed in Miami-Dade County.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and his ex-wife announced their separation last June. The couple have a 7-year-old daughter together, and will share physical and legal custody. The Rock will give $22,454 per month in child support and both parents will each make a monthly contribution of $5,000 toward their daughter’s private-school tuition, health care and any future college expenses.

The pair waived their rights to alimony and will allow their child to spend as much phone time as she wants with either parent.

“Each of the parties shall exercise, in the utmost of good faith, his and her best efforts at all times to encourage and foster the maximum relations of love and affection between the minor child and her mother and father,” state court documents.
