Lindsay Lohan was spotted looking healthy and (believe it or not) actually pretty gorgeous yesterday as she checked into her mandated alcohol counseling meeting.
Radar Online reports that Lohan is looking better than ever with glowing skin, shiny hair, and a full arsenal of brand new designer threads. It’s a good indicator that seems to show she’s coping and maybe even thriving now that she’s progressing willingly through rehab.
Lindsay also sported her new healthy-chic look over thanksgiving which she spent with her notoriously troublemaking father, Michael.
Looks like all those shopping field trips from rehab paid off! Hopefully this means she’ll finally be able to face her demons and make a full recovery. Go Lindsay!

Charlie Sheen has totally fallen off his rocker, according to Radar Online. Ever since the star was released from a New York hospital after being treated for his excessive cocaine use, his life has been a constant parade of hookers, coke and alcohol.
Sheen was held in the hospital for a psych evaluation after tweaking out in his room at the Plaza hotel, dropping several N-bombs while his hooker du jour, porn star Capri Anderson, cowered in the bathroom. He later flew home to LA, but it seems apparent that his habit has followed him there.
“It’s been a non-stop party of drugs and hookers since Charlie [arrived home in Los Angeles],” one source says. “He is completely out of control. No one can get through to him.”
In all fairness, who wouldn’t stumble into a death spiral after wasting away on season after season of Two and a Half Men?
Somebody get this man into rehab stat!
The preliminary autopsy reports for Brittany Murphy’s husband have been released which say there was no drug involvement with his death.
Brittany’s mother Sharon Murphy released a statement saying “As I was sure of, just like my daughter Brittany, there was no kind of drug overdose [for Simon Monjack],” reports People.
The findings show that Monjack’s death was caused by acute pneumonia and severe anemia, the same as Murphy’s death, reports CNN.
“I am calling on the media to stop the reckless innuendos, that my daughter and son-in-law misused any kind of prescription medications,” Sharon told People.
Paris Hilton was detained by French police on the island of Corsica after being caught with cannabis in her handbag.
FoxNews reports Hilton was detained Friday night at the airport in Figari on a private jet from Paris. As there was less than a gram found, she was released without charge.
A local newspaper says she was traveling with “people close to power in Malaysia,” and was supposed to travel by yacht to the luxury resort of Porto Cervo in Sardinia, Italy.
Kid Cudi was arrested in New York City Friday for felony mischief and possessing a controlled substance.
TMZ reports the rapper took a woman’s phone and smashed it, and also broke the woman’s apartment door.

Right now Lohan is holding a press conference saying that his daughter needs help, that she needs to be placed in rehab, and he has been misjudged. Lohan continues to blame his ex-wife Dina for many of Lindsay’s problems, and Dina is preventing him from helping his daughter.
Even if Michael is generally concerned, there is something about his persona that seems disingenuous. Plus this guy doesn’t have the greatest track record (Lohan has done time for insider trading).
So let’s all hope that Linsday gets help, but not sure Michael’s public plea is going to help her.
Normally we would think the prospect of falling into hundreds of needles would be something exciting for Lindsay Lohan. Yet again she has failed to demonstrate her ability to function without the aid of a 40 pounder of Vodka and Pablo Escobar’s private collection. What’s the point of quitting drinking, snorting and Sam Ronson if you’re still a hazard?
We’re not questioning her sobriety, but perhaps, her competency. That, or she would rather walk through a cactus than have her picture taken. Or perhaps she was harvesting it in an attempt to make her own peyote? No, she must have been missing the feeling of her ex-girlfriend’s prickly legs. Either way, not even a plant that can live in solitude for months without a drip of water wanted any interaction with Lindsay.
TMZ is reporting that actor Corey Haim was found dead this morning of an apparent drug overdose. Haim was 38.
The actor was found in his apartment by his mother. He was apparently clean and sober after a substantial time in recovery. LAPD suggest that the overdose may have been an accident. The apartment complex where he died is the same complex Rick James died in 2004.
DMX (aka Earl Simmons) was arrested earlier today in Arizona (yes this is hardly news as it seems DMX gets arrested daily). TMZ reports that the rapper violated the terms of his probation by using illegal drugs from the past nine months.
His lawyer Gary Jenkins says “He’s been battling addiction for some time and he’s in need of treatment.” Additionally his lawyer commented that DMX needs serious help, potentially from somebody like celebrity therapist Dr. Drew Pinsky.
Lindsay Lohan told British newspaper The Sun that her father, Michael Lohan, is the reason that she was introduced to cocaine.
“I was only aware of cocaine because of my dad. I was terrified of it. But I tried it because I was stubborn, stupid, and wanted to see what it was like. It’s not something I ever want to do again.”
Not only did Michael Lohan introduce his daughter to drugs, but he was the reason that she turned to them. When Lindsay’s father publicly spoke out about his rocky relationship with his daughter back in 2007, the young celebrity began to rely on cocaine and alcohol. Later in the year, Lindsay was admitted into rehab twice.
TMZ is reporting that Charlie Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller has checked into rehab. Mueller has entered a drug and alcohol facility in North Carolina.
Last week it was reported Brooke was suffering from pneumonia. Apparently her immune system has become so weak due to substance abuse that she is very susceptible to infection.
Artie Lange has been missing from The Howard Stern Radio Show since early December, and now it seems things are getting worse. E! Online reports that the radio comedian has been hospitalized in New Jersey for undisclosed reasons.
“We can confirm that Artie is in the hospital,” Lange’s camp said in a statement. “Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor. There will be no further comment.”
It’s no secret that Eminem’s lyrics often times are anti-gay, so that’s what makes this combination so odd. Elton John is reportedly helping Eminem overcome his addiction to prescription drugs. “I’ve been helping Eminem over the last 18 months and he’s doing brilliantly,” John told BBC Radio
John has been helping the rapper as he also once suffered from a drug problem. Elton had a notorious addiction to alcohol and drugs throughout the 1980′s. He has been sober ever since, and let’s hope he can do the same for Eminem.
It’s every citizen’s worst fear: a cop who willingly and continuously breaks the law; and even worse, a cop who gets away with it. Yet somehow, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is still an enjoyable watch.

Taking place in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the film follows Terence as he tries to find the drug dealing killer of a low-income family, all the while smoking and howling like a mad man.
Appearing high and/or delusional in every scene, Terence wields his gun, flashes his badge, and threatens everyone around him to get what he wants. And most of the time what he wants is drugs. He steals drugs from young couples at nightclubs, makes drug deals with the criminals he is supposed to be arresting, smokes drugs in front of just about anyone, and even carries around a lucky crack pipe.
The regret surrounding the tragic death of Adam ‘DJ YM’ Goldstein will deepen when MTV airs his eight-episode documentary ‘Gone Too Far’ on Monday, October 12th, MTV reports.
The documentary will feature DJ AM’s meetings with addicts, along with their friends and family, discussing the struggles, causes and possible solutions of addiction. The episodes will also reveal the details of his personal addiction, predominantly to crack cocaine.
Goldstein’s mission to blow open the discussion on drug abuse in North America came to a halt when he died of an accidental overdose at his New York City apartment on August 28th. Many suspect that the excessive drug use was linked to the mental and physical trauma he suffered after a plane crash in 2008.
His death may help cement the documentary’s conveyance of the dangerous toll that drugs take on the lives of addicts, and also those around them. He is a living example of that senseless fate.
DJ AM, also known as Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his NYC apartment earlier today, according to TMZ. Early reports say that drug paraphernalia was found around his body when he was discovered. Last year, Goldstein and Travis Barker survived a plane crash that killed four others on board.
Once the news broke about his death, Shanna Moakler tweeted “My deepest condolences for DJ AM, you were a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends.”

Howard K. Stern was arrested on Thursday and charged with multiple felonies – including conspiracy to furnish drugs – in the overdose death of Anna Nicole Smith. According to perezhilton.com, Stern’s lawyer, Krista Bath, claims that Howie (the former Playmate’s longtime companion) is a victim of lies and not a felon.
Her public statement was a lengthy declaration of Howie’s innocence:
Olympian champion Michael Phelps made a public apology on Wednesday after being photographed inhaling from a marijuana bong.
In the picture, 23-year old Phelps is captured engaging in illegal drug activity at a South Carolina party nearly three months after his record-breaking performance at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Stephen Marche from the National Post commented online that ‘the real anomaly in Phelps’s life isn’t his marijuana usage, it’s his 12-litre lung capacity and 12,000-calories a day diet’. The editorial included Phelps’s apology.
“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” Phelps said in the statement released by one of his agents. “I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me. For this, I am sorry. I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again”.
The consequences of Phelps’s actions are yet to be determined. The Richland County Sheriff released a statement saying that it was going to look into pressing charges, and embarrassed corporate sponsors might be looking into retracting their deal with the swimmer.
As of today, the only sponsor to drop Phelps is Kellogg’s. There was speculation over Phelps’s big deal with Subway, but according to Perez Hilton’s online blog, a publicist for Subway has refuted claims that Phelps will be dropped as a sandwich spokesperson.
They say the fruit never falls too far from the tree.

According to E! News, Ryan O’Neal and his son, Redmond, were arrested Wednesday at the actor’s home in Malibu. The pair was taken into custody for alleged drug possession.
“This morning, deputies were doing a routine sweep to make sure Redmond was adhering to his probation,” sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said. “Upon searching the premises, the younger O’Neal was found in possession of narcotics. Later, a vial of drugs were found in the elder O’Neal’s bedroom. We believe the drugs found were methamphetamines.”
Redmond has a history of drug abuse, having entered rehab in 2004 for heroin use.
Helen Mirren has stirred up a frenzy after telling GQ magazine her controversial position on date rape.
The thespian, who also revealed she has been date raped, thinks that if a man and women had consensually had sex prior to the date rape, the man should not be charged.
“I don’t think she can have that man into court under those circumstances,” Mirren said. “I guess it is one of the subtle parts of the men/women relationship that has to be negotiated and worked out between them. It’s such a tricky area, isn’t it? Especially if there is no violence. If a woman voluntarily ends up in a man’s bedroom with her clothes off… Look at Mike Tyson. I don’t think he was a rapist.”
While she was at it, Mirren revealed her past with drugs — and why she stopped.
“I loved coke. I never did a lot, just a little bit at parties. What ended it for me was when they caught Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyons, in the early 80s. He was in South America and living off the proceeds as a cocaine baron. I never touched it again. I grasped the full horrifying structure of what brings coke to our parties in Britain….I hated marijuana. It made me paranoid and unhappy.”
