Even The Kooks have built somewhat of a reputation based on the fallacy that they’re just a bunch of party hooligans from Brighton. In reality, they’re actually pretty relaxed people. Like anyone, they like the occasional pint and Luke has dabbled with mind-altering substances. Their key to success, however, is keeping the Rock N’ Roll lifestyle separate from the actual music. The toxicology report shows that Amy Winehouse wasn’t using illegal drugs when she died? But what about prescription drugs?

TMZ reports the family isn’t commenting on prescription drugs. However they do acknowledge she was drinking.

Quite possible if Amy mixed the wrong medication with alcohol, that could have killed her…

Amy Winehouse’s family have revealed the toxicology report from her death. It proves that Amy wasn’t on any drugs when she died, but she had been drinking.

TMZ reports they have not determined if alcohol played a role in her death.

This is understandably shocking as it was common knowledge that Amy had a drug problem, and everyone assumed drugs played a role in her death.

Details of Big Boi’s Stash

Details are surfacing on the drugs Big Boi was carrying when he was arrested yesterday. The drugs were spotted by a drug sniffing dog, reports TMZ.

According to the Miami-Dade Police report, “The pat-down revealed 5.7 grams of MDMA in powder form, 3 pills of suspect ecstacy, 9 whole pills of Viagra and 2 [half-pills] of Viagra, and a cigarette roller with suspect marijuana residue.”

He was arrested for 3 counts of possession of narcotics and 1 count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He also has been sentenced with a huge amount of embarrassment for buying illegal Viagra.

Big Boi Arrested for Illegal Possession of Viagra

Yes you read that title correctly. Big Boi was arrested today in Miami for drug possession. He was arrested with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

TMZ reports the substances were ecstasy pills, MDMA powder and Viagra. All charges are felonies.

Border control dogs identified the substances while he was exiting a cruise ship. Also Big Boi didn’t have a prescription for the Viagra.

We can understand his embarrassment regarding the Viagra. It’s hard (no pun intended) talking to a Doctor about his downstairs. We sympathize completely with his need to pick it up on the black market.

Ah well. Maybe it’s just easier to talk to your doctor.

DMX Caught Smuggling Drugs into Jail

DMX is going to be spending a little while longer in an Arizona jail. The rapper was caught smuggling drugs into prison.

However, that’s only part of the problem. TMZ reports DMX made the following errors while serving time in the Yuma, AZ jail:

- Drug possession

- Failing or refusing a drug test

- Smoking when he was not supposed to

- Disorderly conduct

DMX was supposed to be released tomorrow after serving seven months for a probation violation. However he will remain in jail for at least another week.

So if he was caught smuggling drugs into jail, does that definitely mean he shoved the drugs up his ass? Is that how it works?

Justin Timberlake: “Smoking Pot Helps Me Relax”

Justin Timberlake has revealed that smoking pot helps him relax in an otherwise stressful career, reports Digital Spy.

The singer-turned-actor says he “absolutely” does pot to relieve himself of stressful situations and worries.

“The only thing pot does for me is it gets me to stop thinking. Sometimes I have a brain that needs to be turned off. Some people are just better high,” says Timberlake to Playboy Magazine.

As for music, Timberlake says he isn’t ready to return as he lacks the creative energy to create a new album.

“I don’t have a single song ready to go… People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don’t know what to say.”

“Music is not my focus right now. It may be someday. It could happen next month or next year but right now it’s not where it’s at for me.”

Timberlake is now focusing on his acting career, where he will star alongside Cameron Diaz in ‘Bad Teacher,’ which is released on June 24.

Hey, whatever calms you down and makes you productive. As long as he doesn’t get all crazy and out of control, then it’s fine by me.

MTV Cancels Controversial ‘Skins’

MTV has canceled the controversial teen drama ‘Skins,’ reports CTV.

The show won’t be back for another season, so says the network, because it “didn’t connect with a U.S. audience as much as we had hoped,” MTV spokesman Nathaniel Brown says.

The short-lived show received heavy criticism for its racy nature and use of drug, alcohol and sex that were prominent on the show. Many groups felt the young actors violated child pornography laws and advertisers began pulling their commercials from the series.

‘Skins’ premiered in January as an American version of the British hit, but an initial audience of 3.3 million viewers sank to 1.2 million viewers for the season finale.

Another one bites the dust – will you miss it? I never got into the show, but I heard that the American version was never as good as the British series.

Amy Winehouse Is Back In Rehab

Amy Winehouse has checked into rehab again, her rep confirms. Guess she really is ‘Back to Black.’

The jazz singer “has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic,” her rep said in a statement. “She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice.”

She was convinced to check into the Priory clinic on Wednesday by her father, Mitch.

“Her dad sat her down and said ‘I think you’re drinking too much again.’ So she agreed to go an assessment to stop it becoming a bigger problem,” a source said.

The same source says the ‘Rehab’ singer also downed a miniature bottle of Smirnoff vodka on her way to the clinic “in typical Amy style.”

Winehouse is set to kick off a mini tour in Europe on June 18, and apparently, she will be out of rehab in time. ”She’s determined, and this is all off her own back,” said the source. “It’s just a lapse. There are ups and downs on the road, and there have been mostly ups recently. But this is a down and she’s done the right thing and gone to rehab.”

I don’t have much hope for her, but at least she’s trying to get on a good path. She’s so talented so I would hate to lost her at such an early age.

Courtney Love Claims She Saved Kelly Osbourne and Lindsay Lohan

Courtney Love is back on her over-sharing bandwagon. This time around, the rocker is claiming that she saved Kelly Osbourne and Lindsay Lohan from horrible fates.

Love reveals that a few years ago, she actually had to save Osbourne’s life via CPR after she blacked out from some kind of overdose. She recalls:

“I still can’t escape the stigma [of a drug addict] for some reason,” Love said. “Even people like Kelly Osbourne feel free to f–k with me … This is a girl whose life I have saved twice, once with CPR and another time with CPR and violence — by which I mean I had to poke her furiously in certain places to wake her up from her coma. It wasn’t long ago when Kim Stewart was screaming, ‘Courtney, what are we going do? Kelly Osbourne is blue on the floor!’ Kelly wasn’t doing that well back then.”

Love goes on to explain how some young girls of Hollywood actually come to her for guidance when they hit rock bottom as well – like Lohan.

“Lindsay Lohan called me after she was arrested. The judge presiding over her case was the same judge who presided over mine. He was a very sweet man. I think he was an ex-alcoholic himself. I told Lindsay to just get it together and trust the judge, and Lindsay’s father called me for advice every day … What am I, a junkie Auntie Mame?”

That’s very nice and all, but is Love really the best person to go to advice for? Has she really gotten her act together? Sure, she’s doing a lot better than how she used to be, but she ain’t no Mother Theresa either.

Charlie Sheen Is Selling His Mega Mansion

Everyone’s favourite crazy person, Charlie Sheen, is selling his infamous Beverly Hills mega-mansion… for a very cool price of $7.2 MILLION.

According to TMZ, Sheen has just listed the 7,924 square foot estate, marketing the place as a “Celebrity Home” complete with 5 bedrooms and 7 baths.

It also comes with several sexually transmitted diseases.

Charlie struck a deal with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller in their divorce, in which he paid her $1 million to take sole ownership of the house. And now he’s selling it. He just has money to blow, doesn’t he!

The listing reads: “This custom-built Mediterranean in Mulholland Estates is an entertainer’s dream with spacious public rooms, most of which open to a beautifully landscaped yard featuring a professional outdoor kitchen with dining area, pool and spa. Other features include a screening room and top-of-the-line appliances and finishes.”

They make it sound so romantic and beautiful, when really, it was just a very large crack house and stripper den. But I know many people out there are obsessed with celebrity memorabilia, so some rich dude will buy the house and live vicariously through Sheen’s past.

Skid Row’s Sebastian Bach Arrested for Possession

Former ‘Skid Row’ frontman Sebastian Bach has been arrested for marijuana possession, TMZ reports.

For the second time in 6 months, Bach has been arrested for weed in New Jersey. Bach was pulled over for “failing to keep right” on a highway in Monmouth County, NJ at 3:32 AM on Tuesday, and during the stop, the officer conducted an investigation and discovered weed.

The 43-year-old was arrested for possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bach was then hauled in to a local jail and was eventually released pending a future court hearing.

Bach was previously arrested for weed possession here in Canada back in December, after getting rowdy at an Ontario bar.

Not very shocking, and to be honest, not very awful. The world has more to worry about than ‘less than 50 grams of marijuana.’ Let’s just hope he’s more discrete and secretive next time around.

Whitney Houston To Return To Film, Enters Rehab

Whitney Houston is set to return to the big screen for the first time in 15 years, reports CTV.

The 47-year-old singer-and-actress will be reuniting with her former ‘Waiting To Exhale’ castmates to create a sequel to the 1995 hit movie, in which she played unlucky-in-love television producer Savannah Jackson.

Actress Angela Bassett, who portrayed Bernadine Harris in the film, explained director Forest Whitaker is in the process of altering author-and-screenwriter Terry McMillan’s follow-up to the movie.

“It’s preliminary, but it’s going to happen, ‘Waiting to Exhale 2′. McMillan wrote ‘Getting to Happy’ and she’s written the screenplay … Loretta Devine, Lela Rochon, Whitney, Forest. Forest is working on the script now.”

In others news, a representative for the superstar singer confirmed today that Houston is undergoing treatment. Kristen Foster says Houston is in an out-patient program for drug and alcohol treatment. She says it is a voluntary measure and part of Houston’s “long-standing” recovery process.

Houston has battled problems with drug addiction for years. But in 2009, as she released a comeback album, she declared herself healthy and clean.

However, her 2010 tour overseas was trouble. Houston cancelled some dates due to illness and received negative reviews from fans who were disappointed in the quality of her voice and performance.

It’s unclear how long Houston will be in rehab or where she’s being treated. But before she takes on the stress of doing huge films, it’s good she clears her mind and focuses on herself first.

Stevie Nicks: Lindsay Lohan ‘Never Going to’ Play Me in a Movie

Looks like Lindsay Lohan’s hopes for reviving her career has run into more obstacles!!

When word came out about the possibility Lohan would play the rocker in a film in 2009, Nicks snapped.

“Over my dead body,” Nicks told the New York Times.

“She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk.”

Now in 2011, Nicks still hasn’t changed her mind.

“She’s never going to,” the Fleetwood Mac singer recently told CNN, according to the Huffington Post. “That’s never going to happen unless she cleans up her life and becomes the great actress I feel she can be. Everybody thinks I hate her, and it’s not that at all.”

Nicks, who has been to rehab twice for cocaine and pill addiction, told CNN she feels the actress hasn’t changed much since she made those comments two years ago.

“I just want her to get it together,” she told CNN. “I was completely messed up for a long time and I got it together. She’s a very talented girl … if she could get it together, she could have a really big career and she could do great things.”

Hmm, hopefully Lindsay can take this harsh criticism to get herself back together!

Andy Dick Arrested for Public Intoxication

Isn’t he always kind of drunk and high? Andy Dick was arrested last night in Temecula, CA after cops say he was acting disorderly. Police say he was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

TMZ reports he former “Celebrity Rehab” star was taken to a nearby jail … where he was booked at 9:48 PM. Bail was set at $500.

Somebody call Dr. Drew.

Lindsay Lohan’s Life Turned Into An Off-Broadway Play

Lindsay Lohan’s train wreck of a life has been turned into an off-broadway play, reports Playbill. Flattering, or embarrassing? We’re not sure which of these it is.

The play, titled Project: Lohan, is written by D’Arcy Drollinger and directed by Ben Rimalower. It will run from April 29 to May 8 in New York. Playwright Drollinger also plays Lindsay in the play, and the cast also includes Clayton Dean Smith, Brandon Olson, Cindy Goldfield, Emily McGowan and Brian Reiss.

Described as a “multi-media, gender-bending theatrical experience,” the show only uses published text from tabloids, magazines, entertainment TV and internet gossip sites. Kind of a neat concept, if you ask me.

Here’s how the show is described:

“From starlet to harlot, from hottie to hot mess, from fashion plate to prison inmate,” the press notes states, “Lindsay Lohan has been the subject of arguably one of the most publicized rise and falls in showbiz history. The youngest person to host the MTV movie awards and earning over $7 million a picture before she turned 18, Lindsay had it all, but her love/hate relationship with the paparazzi played a significant role in her seemingly out-of-control spiral. The money, the fame, the feuds, the media-hungry parents, the lesbian lover, the insatiable paparazzi, five trips to rehab, two DUI’s, possession of cocaine, shoplifting, physical abuse and even carjacking — all played out in the public eye — will be reinterpreted for the stage; and will include other such luminaries as Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Hillary Duff, Jessica Simpson, Scarlett Johansson, Samantha Ronson, Dina and Michael Lohan, Tina Fey, Jane Fonda, Leslie Sloan Zelnick and Wilmer Valderrama.”

This will be nothing short of entertaining, I can tell you that much. I wonder if Lindsay will pop in to see the show? She does make trips to New York quite often, so how amazing would it be if she did a cameo?

Steven Tyler Talks About Bad Blood Within Aerosmith

Steven Tyler admits to taking the judge gig on “American Idol” to show his fellow band mates in Aerosmith that he wouldn’t be ”held hostage” after they threatened to kick him out of the band.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Tyler opens up about the controversy. “Did I take this job to show the band? F**k, yeah. Not to show them, but that I can’t be held hostage anymore. I will be my own hostage. The band can’t throw me out.”

Tyler also confesses also to going on a drug binge with Joe Perry as an attempt to write a new album. ”Joe was high and he couldn’t play … I couldn’t sing, really, because I was snorting everything, and it f**ks up your throat. It was the wrong time.”

So there you have it – all the Aerosmoth/Steven Tyler secrets revealed. Now it shouldn’t be any wonder why Steven Tyler looks 1,000,000 years old.

Charlie Sheen’s Sons Taken Away by Police

As if Charlie Sheen hasn’t dominated news headlines already, here’s another story to keep you shaking your heads.

Police arrived at Sheen’s doorstep yesterday, taking his two sons with soon-to-be ex-wife Brooke Mueller after Mueller filed for a restraining order against Sheen following what her lawyer says was ”specific, descriptive threats.” The restraining order, which Mueller obtained a couple days ago, requires Sheen to stay 100 yards away from her. But of course this doesn’t bother him – he reportedly told TMZ that he was considering getting a restraining order against Mueller anyway, due to her erotic behaviour. Right, that’s what they all say.

Mueller is also fighting for custody, telling the judge he should return her sons to her after Sheen’s blow-up during a trip to the Bahamas with Mueller last week, along with the string of Sheen-bursts, following the cancellation Two and a Half Men for the remainder of this season. And apparently, the judge agrees – who wouldn’t?

According to Perez Hilton, this isn’t the first time Mueller has demanded the courts to take her sons away from Sheen’s home. Mueller had originally gone to the Beverly Hills Police Department with her plea, only to be turned away and told that she was at the wrong police department, since Sheen does not live in Beverly Hills. Good job!

Their two sons, Bob and Max, who are almost two years old, had been living with Sheen in his Mulholland Estates home since before the Bahamas debacle, but as of recently have been staying with Mueller.

“I was more surprised,” Moira Fiore, Mueller’s mother, told E! News in light of Sheen’s recent…outbursts, to put it mildly. “Everything in the past two days really surprised all of us, it’s just not like him. So yes, we’re very upset, but that’s life.”

Post-Bahamas, Sheen was saying he wanted to purchase a house for the family so they would be living closer to him – I sure hope it was at least 100 yards away!

Of course, Sheen still thinks he has a fighting chance in winning this battle, tweeting last night, “My sons are fine… My path is now clear… Defeat is not an option..!”, and claiming that he deserves full custody due to Mueller’s struggle with substance abuse and her erotic behaviour. Way to call the kettle a drug-addict, pot… I mean, Charlie. Right, sorry, Charlie doesn’t do drugs. Guess you’re not buying that house for Brooke and your two sons anymore, are you?

“Brooke does have the children now,” Fiore told E! News. “I’m sure if he’s going to go for full custody then she will, too.”

And so the Sheen-Mueller custody battle begins. All we can say is, good luck, Charlie!
