Today’s fail is brought to you by Captain Jack Sparrow’s dark rum. Or at least that’s what I’m assuming Johnny Depp was drinking before eating concrete. I didn’t graduate from the Los Angeles community college of celebrity security but I’m pretty sure Johnny Depp wasn’t the only one at fault here. His manager, handler or whatever you want to call him is really the one to blame. In an attempt to save the fragile and seemingly medicated actor, he ends up body slamming him on the curb. What’s really funny is watching him trying and scrape Johnny Depp off the pavement and resurrect the actor like Weekend Bernie’s. Thank you TMZ for yet another glorious moment in Hollywood history caught on video.
American Idol Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze has lost his record label – RCA Records. Extremely sad considering it’s only been a year and a half since he took the Idol title.
RCA is home to other Idol winners like Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood.
We can only assume DeWyze has been dropped due to poor sales.
DeWyze representative said he’s “in a good place right now” and working on “several exciting projects”.
Do you think Lee should have won Season 9 of Idol?
Wiz Khalifa is cleared of drug charges after a November arrest in North Carolina. Following a show in Everett, North Carolina, Wiz’s bus was pulled over where police found marijuana. Wiz and 9 other men on the bus were charged with trafficking, maintaining a vehicle for sale or storage of marijuana and a misdemeanor offense of possession of drug paraphernalia, reports MTV.
However, the charges were dropped by Prosecutors as only 2 ounces were found, and you need 10 ounces to be charged with trafficking, according to Greenville, North Carolina’s The Daily Reflector.
How do the cops confuse 2 ounces with 10 ounces? We don’t know, but a pretty stupid error by the cops.
TMZ is reporting that Miley Cyrus was initially supposed to perform her rendition of Every Rose Has It’s Thorn on last night’s AMAs – until rumors surfaced that her mama Tish was romantically involved with the rocker who wrote the ballad, Bret Michaels.
Two sources connected to the AMAs say that the rundown of the show was changed on Thursday to accommodate Mileybird’s last minute decision. It’s been said that Miley seriously considered keeping the song, but decided instead to replace it with Love and Forgiveness.
Bret Michaels has strongly denied rumors of hooking up with Tish on multiple occasions, insisting that they are “just good friends.”
We can see why Miley would want to drop the song, but this doesn’t really help on the rumor mill front!
Charges filed against Kanye West and his road manager and bodyguard, Don Crowley, have been dropped by a Los Angeles court, reports CBC. The pair faced misdemeanour charges in connection with a fight that broke out with two paparazzi in an airport last September. The incident resulted in some broken equipment and minor injuries to one of the photographers.
Wrigley Gum has formally terminated their contract with Chris Brown, reports Perez Hilton. The company suspended its advertising campaign featuring the singer after an incident in February where Brown was accused of beating then-girlfriend Rihanna.
At the time, the company said it believed “Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen.”
Following Brown’s guilty plea to a felony assault, the Doublemint gum-maker has ended its relationship with the star.
Justin promised to have Janet naked by the end of his song – but it took a hell of a lot longer for the consequences to be resolved in court.
The $550,000 fine against CBS was dropped yesterday for the infamous nipple tassel incident at the 2004 Superbowl.
A panel of three judges ruled that the Federal Communications Commission “acted arbitrarily and capriciously” when it fined CBS so heavily.
Janet Jackson has previously said she was hurt by the way Justin Timberlake failed to stick up for her during the onslaught of media and legal attention that followed the incident.
Legendary singer Annie Lennox has been dropped by her label, reports SoundGenerator.com.
Lennox is reportedly devastated by Sony BMG’s sudden dismissal of her, and perhaps considering retirement. “It feels like I’m spent, as if I’ve completely run out of energy,” she told the site. “I’m going to take my time over the coming months to figure out what to do with this freedom.”
Weeks before Lennox’s contract was due to expire, the label cut off communication. “They totally ignored me,” Lennox said. “It was bizarre. It was a kick in the teeth. They didn’t return my phone calls or emails for three weeks. I’m trying to find out what’s behind it.
“Probably a good thing I’m no longer with them – mild understatement. Unless it’s them trying to tell me something… Hello!”
The label used to call Lennox “one of the finest musical voices of the age.”
