As one relationship ends, another one flourishes. Hopefully this time, actress Drew Barrymore isn’t trying to one-up Kim Kardashian’s quickie marriage.

People Magazine say the 36-year-old “Going the Distance” star has been going strong with her boyfriend, Will Kopelman since February of last year.

Will, an art consultant, gave her a radiant-cut diamond shining at just under 4 carats over the holidays in Sun Valley, Utah. Judging from the photo, it looks like a knock-out of a rock but this isn’t the first time Drew’s been handed a sparlking ring before.

In 1994, she wed bar owner Jeremy Thomas but they divorced two months later. In 2001, who could forget her short (and very questionable) marriage to comedian Tom Green. The odd couple only lasted four months. Based on all the math, Drew and Will have at least six months together before they split and divide assets.

Last night’s Saturday Night Live previewed a clip from the upcoming film from the makers of ‘Valentine’s Day’ and ‘New Year’s Eve’… it’s ‘Apocalypse’.

It stars “literally thousands” of your favourite celebrities, from Drew Barymore (Kristin Wiig) to Penny Marshall (Fred Armisen) to Christina Aguilera (Katy Perry) – even “that kid from Modern Family” (Bobby Moynihan). “It’s love… at last sight” in this hilarious parody of over-indulgent saga of date movies. It was one of the highlights of last night’s Katy Perry-hosted show.

Though didn’t Funny or Die do this earlier in the week with ‘Christmas Day’?

Justin Long and Drew Barrymore Say They Are Not Engaged

Drew Barrymore updated her Facebook status to say, “I’m engaged,” sparking rumours that boyfriend Justin Long had popped the question. However, a representative for the actress says the status means nothing, reports E! News.

Their relationship does seem to be moving along, though. The He’s Just Not That Into You co-stars were spotted together this month at the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards, where Barrymore won for her role as Little Edie Beale in the HBO movie Grey Gardens.

Charlie’s Angels Remake in the Works

ABC is reportedly close to ordering a pilot for a new series reviving 1970s hit Charlie’s Angels, reports CBC. Josh Friedman, who did Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, will write and produce the series.

Drew Barrymore, who starred in and produced two Charlie’s Angels films in the early 2000s will also reportedly be involved.

Drew Barrymore and Justin Long are back together – on the big screen, at least.

The real-life ex-couple are set to star in “Going the Distance,” a romantic comedy for New Line that is being directed by “American Teen” helmer Nanette Burstein.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Barrymore and Long will play a couple trying to maintain a long-distance relationship after Barrymore’s character moves to Chicago to be a middle-school teacher.

This won’t be the acting duo’s first time working together – they recently appeared in the rom-com “He’s Just Not That Into You,” which was filmed while the couple were together. Barrymore and Long reportedly dated for a year before breaking up last summer.

Whatever their current relationship status, the two seem to enjoy teaming up for projects. “On ‘He’s Just Not That Into You,’ Drew as a producer was instrumental in bringing Justin in. On this movie, Justin helped bring her in. He brought it to her attention,” New Line president Toby Emmerich told THR.

Barrymore’s other movie credits include “Charlie’s Angels,” “Music and Lyrics” and “Lucky You,” while Long recent film appearances include “Live Free or Die Hard” and “Zack and Miri Make a Porno.”

Drew Barrymore Won’t See The Twilight

Contrary to recent reports and hope from Drew Barrymore’s fans, the actress will not be directing the third installment of the Twilight Vampire series.

Instead of Barrymore, Spanish director, Juan Antonio Bayona has landed the director gig and will begin filming “Eclipse,” which is set to be an exciting addition to the Vampire narrative, Us Magazine reports.

Barrymore will make her directorial debut later this year with a comedic film called “Whip It.” The film takes an inside look into the rapidly growing sport of Roller Derby, which has been making a vicious and popular comeback in the last year. Filmschoolrejects.com reports that “it’s a coming-of-age tale about a girl who finds her identity through the power of roller derby, based on Shauna Cross’ novel, Derby Girl.” Juliette Lewis and Ellen Page will star in the film.

So far, each installment of Twilight has opted for a different director, making each film an entity in its own right.

Drew Barrymore is feeling the Twilight bite.

According to E! News, the former E.T. actress is among the top choices to direct “Eclipse”, the third entry in the Twilight franchise.

Catherine Hardwicke was the one who directed the first film, and Chris Weitz is just about to start filming the sequel, “New Moon”. Hardwicke left the franchise because of her apparent lack of authority.

“New Moon” is set for a Nov. 20, 2009 release and Eclipse just six months later, on June 30, 2010- which means that Weitz will be in post-production on “New Moon” while “Eclipse” is filming.

Us Magazine has confirmed Drew Barrymore’s split with Justin Long. The co-stars are about to begin promoting their new film, “He Just Not That Into You.”

The adorable exes were friends for seven years before becoming romantically involved, and a source for the magazine claims that they remain friends.

In the March issue of Vogue, when asked what comes to mind when he thinks of Barrymore, Long replied, “Beauty and light, and she shines it on everybody who comes into contact with her.”

Ellen Page Drops out of ‘Hell’

Ellen Page will no longer be going to hell – and that’s a bad thing.

Due to scheduling conflicts, Page has dropped out of Sam Raimi’s upcoming film “Drag Me To Hell.” She was set to star as a woman under a curse, reports the CBC.

Raimi was so determined to have Page star that the filming schedule was set for her. However, the film wasn’t ready to shoot and has had to be pushed back. Page will be working on Drew Barrymore’s “Whip It!” at that time, and will also have to go through intense physical training to play a competitive roller derby skater.

Fresh off her success with “Juno,” Page also has a film called “Peacock,” co-starring Cillian Murphy, in the works.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, “White Oleander” star Alison Lohman will take Page’s place in “Hell.”
