You can tell from the first 30 seconds of Kesha’s new single “Die Young” that you’re probably going to hear it A LOT at rager house parties and neon-lit dance clubs in the next couple months. We’ve haven’t heard new music from Kesha in two years (sigh) but this was well worth the wait.
While the single has a summery vibe, I don’t think that’ll stop you from blasting it at home with your BFFs and indulging in Kesha’s drink of choice, whiskey. She sings: “I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums / It’s such a shame that you came here with someone / So while you’re here in my arms / Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young.”
The Dr. Luke produced single was also co-written by fun.’s Nate Ruess. Kesha described her upcoming album Warrior, which is out on Dec. 4, as having a distinctly cock rock sound — whatever that means.
Listen to it here:
Cody Simpson is such a suave gentleman we just had to ask if he had any dating advice to share. Sometimes it’s hard to remember the Australian hottie is only 15, considering everything he’s accomplished. Simpson talked to @Jordans_Life about working with Dr. Luke and shared what inspires him in his music (hint, the outdoors play a key part). Finally he reveals how he would spend a last day on Earth.
Watch here:
Kesha has given us so much in her short career. She already claims the advent of brushing teeth with a gurgle of Jack Daniels and is a firm advocate for both animal rights and beards. Now, she gives us “Cock Pop.” The 25-year-old coined the term on Twitter, while recording with Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco. We’re not sure what Cock Pop entails but those two producers were involved with her hits “Tik Tok” and “We R Who We R.” So that’s a good sign, right?
Taylor Swift and her crew received welcome gifts from one of her fans. The T-shirts feature photos of their faces on the front. You say it’s strange to be wearing a T-shirt of yourself, I say it’s ironic.
Lauren Conrad is temporarily sacrificing the bohemian beaches and overpriced shops of Los Angeles for an African safari… and torturing us with her trip photos. Although she’s met some cute friends on her journey (above) she’s survived some perils too. Under the hashtag #safariproblems, she relayed the difficulty of self-manicures by headlamp.
Nicki Minaj finally found the men of her dreams. Here they are, wearing pink bowler hats, loin cloths, choker necklaces and furry anklets, all while preserving their masculinity. But which man will win the affection of Minaj? I think there’s only one way to decide that. It’s time for a limbo competition.

Marina and the Diamonds’ new video video for “Primadonna” features her as Electra Heart, the title character from her new album. She plays an egotistical and self-entitled drama queen who leads a sugary life of privilege.
Produced by Dr. Luke, the song has upbeat instrumentals and catchy lyrics: “I’m a primadonna girl, yeah / All I ever wanted was the world / I can’t help that I need it all/ The primadonna life, the rise and fall.” [Source]
What do you think of it?
Kesha fans will need to wait until Spring 2012 for the next album by the pop singer. Producer Dr. Luke confirmed this via Twitter.
Dr. Luke has produced a number of hits for Kesha, including “Your Love Is My Drug.” He said when asked “are we gunna [sic] get a new Kesha album soon?” by a Kesha fan over Twitter, Dr. Luke replied, “not this year…. close to may….”
The new album will be called “Spandex.” She has definitely come along way since our first interview in 2010.
The cover art and collaborators list for Pitbull’s upcoming album ‘Planet Pit’ has been released, reports Perez Hilton.
Featured artists on the upcoming Pitbull album will include Marc Anthony, Chris Brown, T-Pain, Ne-Yo, Kelly Rowland, and Sean Paul.
All-star producers that have collaborated on ‘Planet Pit’ include Afrojack, Benny Blanco, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, David Guetta, RedOne,Polow Da Don and DJ Frank E.
That’s one hell of a team, the album is sure to impress.
Here’s what Pitbull, aka Armando Christian Pérez, had to say about his upcoming album via press release:
“It embodies a bit of everywhere I’ve been. I’m trying to be the ambassador; the bridge builder who brings elements from all over the world and puts it all together so it sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before.”
“When the congas are pounding and the bass is thumping behind me, nothing can touch me,” adds Pitbull.
The album is expected to drop in June 2011.
