Dear Gentlemen of the World,
We know how heart-in-your-toes scary it can be when you’re dying to ask out that pretty girl in your biology class — especially if you’re plagued with foot-in-mouth disease. That’s why we made it easy for you with this handy dating guide featuring 15 pickup lines courtesy of Justin Bieber lyrics. He nabbed Spring Breakers’ Selena Gomez and has millions of Beliebers vying for his heart, so he must be doing something right… right?
We noted the exact moments when these lyrics could help you score or get you out of awkward situations. Please keep in mind this guide is wholly unscientific, unproven and might admittedly HURT your chances of dating someone.

Song: “Boyfriend”

Lyrics:
“Tell me what you like yeah tell me what you don’t/ I could be your Buzz Lightyear, fly across the globe.”
“I can be a gentleman (gentleman), anything you want/ If I was your boyfriend (boyfriend), I’d never let you go, never let you go.”
When to use them: These lyrics are most effective during that pre-stage dating ritual known as courtship. You’re providing her with hypothetical examples of how dating you will benefit her — once she gets the visual, there’s no going back. Moreover, the Buzz Lightyear reference will immediately blast her with nostalgia, ensuring she associates you with good thoughts.
Song: ”One Less Lonely Girl” and “Somebody to Love”
Lyrics:
“Don’t need these other pretty faces like I need you/ And when you’re mine, in the world/ There’s gonna be one less lonely girl.”
“Christmas wasn’t merry, 14th of February not one of them spent with you.”
“Step to the beat of my heart/ I don’t need a whole lot/ But for you I admit I/ I’d rather give you the world/ Or we can share mine/ I know I won’t be the first one/ giving you all this attention/ Baby listen/ I just need somebody to love.”
When to use them: After lightheartedly listing off all the amazing things you’d do if you were her boyfriend, make known your actions to hurdle this wish into reality. The benefits go both ways: you’d both be less lonely.
Song: “First Dance”
Lyrics:
“Only if you give, give your first dance to me/ Girl, I promise I’ll be gentle/ I know we gotta do it slowly/ If you give (give it), give the first dance to me (give it)/ I’m gon’ cherish every moment/ ’cause it only happens once, once in a lifetime”

Name: Alex G.
Song: ”Die In Your Arms” by Justin Bieber
Why we’re obsessed: We’re dying for Alex G, who makes Justin Bieber’s new single “Die In Your Arms” one of her own with her soulful voice.
The beachy scenery in her music video adds a perfect romantic touch to this acoustic cover and has me wondering what JB will do with the original. Will it include the real Selena Gomez and him walking on the beach hand-in-hand (d’aw) or just another look-a -like?
Alex’s version is pretty dayam passionate and puts a nice female twist on the popstar’s track. She slows it down a whole lot, though we’re kind of missing the Jackson 5 element. Give it a listen and you’ll realize why Alex’s version received over 60,000 views in less than a week!

Justin Bieber surprised all his fans (though I think JB was equally surprised) when he released the third single from his album Believe today. He promised his fans that if “Die In Your Arms” shot to number one on iTunes (which it did) then he’d release “All Around the World.”
That song was supposed to come out at midnight tonight, but JB seemed a little shocked when it came out earlier today. He tweeted Scooter Braun: “WHAT!?!?! It’s out!?!?!” Don’t worry JB, we don’t mind. Really.
The song features Ludacris. The last time they worked together their brainchild was “Baby.” So you know this track’s gonna be INSANE.
If “All Around the World” shoots to number one on iTunes then JB has promised to release his next single “As Long As You Love Me” next Tuesday. So go buy it already so we can get the next single!
In the meantime, JB is in Madrid, continuing his promo tour for the album.

Justin Bieber might be in the middle of a media circus, considering his recent spat with a money-hungry paparazzo, but let’s forget about that for two seconds (preferably forever) and move on to the music because that’s what’s really important.
JB released “Die In Your Arms” and it’s COMPLETELY different than I imagined, but in a good way. A really good way. I imagined a gloomy 90s-esque ballad but this tune has a Jackson 5 soulfulness that I didn’t expect, even though Scooter Braun already made the comparison on Twitter. The track has a catchy opening and rhythmic finger snaps, while Bieber croons: “Ooh baby, I know loving you ain’t easy, sure is worth a try.”
His whole album is gearing up to be an essay about why the Biebs is the archetypal boyfriend, leading me to believe the album should be called Etiquette for Gentleman rather than Believe. Of course, this is the second single released from his upcoming LP Believe, out June 19. How does it compare to “Boyfriend?”
