While in Atlanta this past weekend, Diddy used some gay and racial slurs while yelling at a club goer. Diddy apologized over Twiiter for his actions.

Diddy explained, “I’m sorry for the ignorant way I repesented [SIC] myself … I have backslid and regressed. Forgive me for my ignorance. Pray for me pls. I know better and I am better.”

He added, “I have a responibility [SIC] that I promise I will live up to. And I’m more dissapointed [SIC] in myself than you know. I will humble myself and learn.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs will receive ASCAP’s Founders Award during the performing rights organization’s 24th annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

The invitation-only ceremony will take place Friday, June 24, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Combs joins previous Founders Award recipients Dr. Dre, Stevie Wonder, Garth Brooks and Paul McCartney.

“To be recognized for my contributions to music by ASCAP is a true honor,” said Combs in a statement. “All I wanted to do was make people dance and hopefully inspire others to never settle for anything but their best.”

As a solo artist, Combs has recorded a string of hits including ‘I’ll Be Missing You,’ ‘I Need a Girl’ and ‘Coming Home.’ He released six studio albums, and his most recent is the Diddy-Dirty Money album ‘Last Train to Paris.’

In addition to being a producer to Mariah Carey, TLC and Boyz II Men, Combs is also a fashion designer, businessman and actor.

“His success,” noted ASCAP president/chairman Paul Williams in a statement, “is a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit, hard work and ingenious ability to add his personal touch to contemporary culture.”

He’s a man of many talents and deserves the award.

From this day forward, you shall call Diddy “Swag.” Well for one week at least, according to CNN.

“I decided that I’m gonna change my name for a week in honor of my comeback,” he said in a YouTube video. “I’ve gone as Puff, Puffy, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, Diddy, King Combs – my real name is Sean Combs – and for a week, this week only, you can call me by my new name, Swag.”

Swag has been referred to free stuff you get at trade shows, but is also what “the kids” say for something being cool.

You know you’re powerful when you can shut down a party without even having to show up at it.

Diddy scheduled a crazy 4th of July party at the Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, but it had to be shut down before the star even had the chance to get there, reports Perez Hilton.

According to Hilton’s sources, police were called in to close down the club after over 500 uninvited party-goers tried to get inside the shindig. The casino called the party shut down a “proactive decision” to keep the 1,800 or so actually invited guests safe.

“I just shut down Atlantic City!” Diddy said on his Twitter. “The party was so crazy I couldn’t even get in! 10 thousand people showed up. …I was ready to party!”

Tough luck, Diddy. Tough luck.

According to PerezHilton, T.I. is teaming up with Remy Martin to launch a T.I. blend of cognac. To add to the mix, Dr. Dre (who? Sorry, we “forgot about Dre”) is also set to release his own blends of cognac and sparkling vodka.

Celebrities are slowly taking over every aspect of the commercial world. What’s next, Lady Gaga lampshades?

Diddy takes his business and vodka seriously. Otherwise why would he say “If you’re not drinking Ciroc vodka, then you’re drinking pee pee.”

According to E! Online, Diddy made this proclamation, and that has sparked some controversy in the vodka world.

“It is not right what he did,” Georgi vodka brand CEO Martin Silver said during a press conference he held yesterday to address the remark and demand an apology. He went on to accuse the hip-hop impresario of “maligning” his product.

Silver even took it one step further and had a toilet bowl filled with Diddy’s vodka and tried to have it delivered to his New York office.

Anyways, not sure this feud will win Diddy any points in the business, music or vodka world.

According to Diddy, the late Notorious B.I.G. deserves his own national holiday – and he’s making it happen.

Last night, Diddy rounded up hiphop artists  Rick Ross, Fabolous, Red Café and Busta Rhymes to throw a memorial party for the iconic rap star, reports MTV.

B.I.G., who died on March 9, 1997, was commemorated through performances in his home of Brooklyn, N.Y..

“Basically, me and Diddy had conversations about doing this a couple of months ago,” says Brooklyn DJ Mister Cee, an old friend of Biggie’s. “I said, ‘Diddy, you been running around all over the place. When are you gonna do something in Brooklyn?’ He said, ‘OK, let’s do something in Brooklyn.’ We wanted to do it for the memory of Big and also for Brooklyn.”

The party, which took place in Brooklyn hotspot The Lab, was kicked off with Diddy in the DJ booth while Mister Cee spun some of Biggie’s classic tracks.

Soon after, Diddy took to the stage to rap some classic lines from his days as Puffy.

“We’re here to show him love,” bellowed Diddy to the packed club. “We wanna thank you, Brooklyn, because Brooklyn made the greatest rapper of all time!”

The night’s performances were dominated by some of Biggie’s classic songs:  ”Playa Hata,” “Warning,” and “Mo Money, Mo Problems.”

At the end of the night, Busta Rhymes spoke with MTV outside the club.

“I got so many beautiful supporters of B.I.G. around me. It’s a honor to experience a moment. For the first time in the 13 years since the great man’s passing, we can experience a moment when you got Red Café on the stage, Diddy on the stage, Busta Rhymes on the stage, Fabolous on the stage, Rick Ross on the stage…The moment felt so golden.”

Will Notorious B.I.G. be honoured with his own holiday? Whatever the answer turns out to be, fans can expect rappers like Diddy and Busta Rhymes to keep his memory and music alive.

Are you going to be in New York City or Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve? Are you looking for a safe way to get home? Well Diddy is looking to help you out. CNN is reporting that Diddy and Ciroc vodka have teamed up to make sure people in those towns get home safe. In Las Vegas street teams will  be handing out $15 taxi debit cards between 8:00pm and 11:00pm local time. In New York City street teams will be handing out one  way subway metrocards between 8:00pm and 11:00pm local time.

“New York stands as the world’s icon for a New Year’s Eve celebration and Las Vegas is the biggest party destination in the country,” Combs said in a statement. “By bringing this program to both of these great cities we will continue to show the rest of the country that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been cast in the spin-off to the 2008 comedy “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the producer/rapper will play a record label executive in “Get Him to the Greek,” which sees the return of “Sarah Marshall” director/co-writer Nicholas Stoller and producer Judd Apatow.

Also back is Russell Brand, who will reprise his role as out-of-control rocker Aldous Snow. Rose Bryne (“Knowing,” TV’s “Damages”) will play Snow’s latest love interest, an equally wild pop star named Jackie Q.

The cast is rounded out by Jonah Hill, who will play a record-company intern hired to get Snow from London to a gig at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, and Elizabeth Moss (TV’s “Mad Men”), who will play the uptight girlfriend of Hill’s character.

Shooting is scheduled to begin shortly for an April 2010 release.

It seems that Chris Brown is determined to come back from the altercation with girlfriend Rihanna unscathed. With the Barbadian beauty back on his arm, sources have revealed that Brown has also been recording while staying in Sean “Diddy” Combs beach estate. He has been laying down tracks for a new album for the the entirety of his stay.

E! Online reports that Brown, 19, has been in Miami for about a week and has been recording late at night at Miami’s famed Hit Factory studio.

The site also claims that, despite reports by People and Extra, Brown was not out partying solo Saturday. According to E! online, Khloe Karashian has a friend who bears a resemblance to Brown, and was pictures partying with the socialite. Apparently some fellow guests at the Gansevoort South Hotel mistook Bush’s pal for Brown, who was not in attendance.

Kardashian confirmed the mistaken identity by making a statement to Celebuzz. “ I find it silly that so many media outlets picked up our story with no truth behind it.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs: hip-hop artist, fashion mogul, reality TV producer, fragrance creator and now — lawyer?

Well, not exactly — People magazine reports that Combs has scored a guest-starring role on “CSI: Miami” as defence attorney Derek Powell.

He was in Manhattan Beach, just outside Los Angeles, this week to shoot his spot on the hit CBS show.

Combs explained to People that he met with CBS executives and told them, “I don’t want to play no musician, I don’t want to play a criminal – none of those stereotypical things. I want to play a lawyer.”

He added that he was happy to be on one of “the biggest shows in the world” and revealed that series star David Caruso took him under his wing on set.

The episode with Diddy will air in February 2009.

Combs is building up an impressive acting resume — he appeared on the big screen in 2002′s “Monster’s Ball” and starred in the critically acclaimed TV remake of “A Raisin in the Sun,” as well as the Broadway revival of the play.

He recently told E! he is hoping to guest-star on “30 Rock.”

Shots were fired at an Atlanta nightclub party—where music stars Usher, Nelly and Sean “Diddy” Combs were in attendance.

The bash, sponsored by Jermaine Dupri, has reportedly left one security guard wounded—reports People magazine.

“I’m sad this incident happened because it interrupted a beautiful and loving party. But I’m happy none of my people or friends got hurt. And the party continues,” said Dupri.

The shots were fired at about 3:30 a.m. at the party after some guests were allegedly double-charged by security guards to enter. According to reports, the guests were escorted outside and that is where the shooting occurred.

The security guard shot in the arm was treated at a hospital and released.

Although Jennifer Lopez may have moved on from P. Diddy a long time ago, the singer-actress will have to relive her infamous night with him, reports TMZ.com

According to TMZ, Lopez was served last week with a subpoena, ordering Lopez to testify in a $130 million lawsuit over a 1999 nightclub shooting involving her ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs and jailed Jamal “Shyne” Barrow. The lawsuit was brought forth by Natania Reuben, the victim shot in the face during the shooting.

Lopez was not called as a witness at the criminal trial of Diddy and Shyne. Although Diddy was exonerated, Shyne is now serving time for the incident.

SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS’ on/off girlfriend KIM PORTER has confirmed reports the rapper impregnated another woman shortly after the designer gave birth to the couple’s twin daughters led to the end of their 12-year relationship.

Porter refuses to confirm or deny gossip suggesting an Atlanta, Georgia woman is expecting Diddy’s baby, but admits the reports were a major factor in the couple’s shock July (07) split.

She tells the upcoming October (07) issue of Essence magazine the scandal led her to question whether or not she could trust her boyfriend. She decided she couldn’t, and it was time to move on.

When asked directly if the rumours about Diddy’s infidelity led to the split, Porter says, “Hmm… Well, that definitely was part of it.”

And, despite new reports the couple are planning a reconciliation, Porter
insists she’ll never wed the rap mogul.

She tells the publication, “He’s not ready to get married. When I get
married, I want to stay married.

Hip-hop mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS has slammed internet reports suggesting he was seen buying drugs as “patently false”.

The Bad Boy Records boss, 37, was left fuming after an amateur video clip
showing him at a party surfaced online, prompting viewers to suggest the
footage looked like a drug deal.

In the clip, Combs, dressed in a white shirt and sunglasses, is seen dancing with clubbers at Ibiza’s DC10 club and chatting to a tall, blond man.

At one point, the rapper raises two fingers as his companion plays with
something in his hand. Combs is then seen lifting his hand to the side of his face – an action viewers of the YouTube video have compared to a drugs exchange.

But Combs’ lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, insists his client has never had
anything to do with illegal substances.

DANITY KANE star AUBREY O’DAY has laughed off reports she’s pregnant with rap mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS’ child.

O’Day finds it amusing that people believe she might be planning parenthood with Combs, who created girl group Danity Kane on the third season of U.S. TV show Making The Band.

SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS’ ex-girlfriend KIM PORTER has broken her silence over hersplit from the rap mogul, insisting the decision was in her family’s “best interests”.

Combs’ spokeswoman Keesha Johnson officially announced the news on Tuesday (10Jul07), five days after the hip-hop star blasted rumours of a separation.

And actress/model Porter hinted of an amicable split as she gave her reasons for the break-up.

She tells U.S. TV’s Entertainment Tonight, “After ten years, I have decided to end my on-again/off-again relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. In ending this relationship, I made a decision that was in the best interest of myself, Sean and our family.

“I look forward to moving on with my life and my career, and wish him prosperity, health and happiness in life and in love. We will remain friends and committed parents to our children.”

Porter – who has three children with Combs – nine-year-old son Christian and newborn twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James – reportedly moved out of the New York City apartment she shared with the rap star earlier this month (Jul07).

SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS closed down a popular Burger King restaurant in Van Nuys, California on Wednesday night to shoot footage for a new DiddyTV internet show.

The rap mogul has teamed up with the fast food chain to create a new channel for YouTube.com, where he’ll launch his own videos and original content for fans.

As part of the new initiative, Diddy is shooting a series of promos to accompany all tracks from his new album Press Play – and they will all feature on the new Internet channel.

The new Burger King partnership will also give Diddy the chance to have his say about entertainment and marketing strategies to promote his favourite fast food chain, which has been sponsoring the rapper’s Press Play tour.

Rap mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS has invited British soccer manager SIR ALEX FERGUSON to attend one of his Puff Puff Pass The Snoop gigs.

The BAD BOY FOR LIFE star formed a friendship with Manchester United boss Ferguson and the rest of the team in Copenhagen, Denmark, last October, and was told he was now an honorary member of the club.

A spokesman for the musician says, “Diddy is friends with Alex Ferguson and his players. Someone told him that RIO FERDINAND liked to play his music before games and that Sir Alex preferred classical.

“So he met them and Sir Alex was very friendly. Diddy would like to see them in the audience.”

Diddy is joined by SNOOP DOGG for his upcoming European tour.

SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS has pledged to return to the UK to perform a free concert to apologize to fans after being forced to cancel his concerts with SNOOP DOGG earlier this week.

Snoop Dogg – real name CALVIN BROADUS – was refused a visa to enter the UK by the country’s Foreign And Commonwealth Office and attempts to reverse the decision proved unsuccessful.

Touring partner Combs has now announced he plans to stage a free gig in association with London radio station Choice FM to make up for fans’ disappointment.

Authorities have not given a reason as to why Snoop’s visa was declined, but last year, the rapper received a police caution for affray following a fight in a lounge at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Days after his caution in May 2006, the UK Home Office said Snoop would be banned from the country for the “foreseeable future” due to his caution and his previous convictions for firearms and drugs offences in the US.

Despite the ban, Snoop and Combs scheduled five dates in the UK in March and April as part of their European tour, all of which are now cancelled.
