Former Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen was forced to bulk up security at his Chicago show after experiencing safety concerns in Detroit.

Perez Hilton reports that the decision came from the Sheen camp after Charlie was booed off the stage at the Michigan show by angry fans who are now trying to get their money back. Security at the Chicago Theatre have been told to strictly enforce all security and crowd control policies in effect for Charlie’s safety.

One Sheen fan in Detroit claims that the Violent Torpedo of Truth show was “the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed,” while hoards more are fighting for a refund.

Well, who didn’t see this one coming?

People.com is reporting that Charlie Sheen’s first performance on his Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth tour in Detroit, Michigan was met with boos when his disjointed rants and random use of multimedia failed to impress the audience.

The former Two-and-a-Half Men star may have created a large, hash-tag using fan-base when he began his media frenzy in February, but the first stop on his North American tour proved to be seriously disappointing. After taking the stage around 9 p.m., the actor began a series of nonsensical ramblings from behind a podium.

How nonsensical you ask? So much so, that he needed to stop and ask the audience, “Is anybody as confused by this s–– as I am?”

Yes Charlie, yes we are.

Sheen also tried to incorporate other elements into his set, in the form of taking questions from the audience and using multimedia to show seemingly-random video clips.

Sheen told the attendees that, “Tonight is an experiment, you paid your hard-earned money without knowing what this show was about.”

Audience members soon realized what a mistake that was. Especially when Sheen decided that the way to remedy the booing was to insult the very city he was being booed in.

“I figured Detroit was a good place to tell some crack stories,” he said, before he decided to ask, “Show of hands – who here has tried crack? Forget that. Who is holding crack right now? I don’t do crack anymore, but I’m just saying.”

This is the part where your face slams gently into your palm before you begin shaking your head in disbelief. Didn’t anyone proofread this thing for him?

Audience member Richard Carpenter told PEOPLE he’s happy they travelled from Toronto to see it, because, “I don’t think he’ll continue with the rest of his shows. He’s going to take this as a sign he’s not going to be received well in other cities,” and even Sheen’s loyal band of Tweeters weren’t impressed. Tweeted one follower, “The gig’s up. Time to stop giving him attention and get him some help.”

Indeed, the jig is up Charlie. Hopefully this Detroit disaster will break up the “winning” bandwagon, so Sheen can get the kind of attention that he really needs.

Charlie Sheen Tour Sold Out In Minutes

Charlie Sheen’s upcoming mini-tour to Chicago and Detroit has sold out in under 18 minutes, says TMZ.

The show, called “My Violent Torpedo of Truth,” set a Ticketmaster record this weekend as tickets were snapped up like hotter-than-hotcakes. Sheen’s camp is looking into adding more dates to the tour, as well as some additional stops in new cities.

Sheen’s website also claims that $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Red Cross to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

$1?! That’s a little skimpy considering some tickets are going for nearly 100 times that price!

This can’t be doing anything good for Sheen’s delusional huge ego… In fact, we’re sick of him already.

Eminem Puts Laid-Off Autoworkers In The Spotlight

Eminem and Jimmy Kimmel plan to fly approximately 200 laid-off autoworkers to Los Angeles for a taping of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Friday.

“The auto workers, many of whom live and work in the Detroit area and are affected by the auto industry crisis, will come to Los Angeles to enjoy a rare talk and musical performance by Eminem,” ABC said in a statement.

Eminem, who is originally from Detroit, said he and late-night host Kimmel wanted to remind everyone about those affected by job losses in the Michigan city. Though his publicist, the rapper told the Detroit Free Press that the media has ignored the many people who have lost their jobs in the auto industry without getting big payouts.

Eminem said he and Kimmel are looking forward to showing the former autoworkers “a good time while we’re at it.”

Detroit has been hit especially hard by the economic recession. The Motor City has one of the highest unemployment rates in the U.S. at 22 per cent, almost three times the national average.

Eminem, who is also slated to appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on May 19 and 22, is currently promoting his first studio album in four years, “Relapse.” The album will hit store shelves on May 19.
