Get excited for the release of Despicable Me 2 this summer. It looks like this movie will be just as action packed and hilarious as the first. Despicable Me 2 brings us the return of Gru, Agnes and her sisters, and the sassy yellow minions.
In this new trailer, it looks like Gru has been booked for being a villain and is being asked to change his ways. After having his heart softened by three adorable young girls who he adopted in the last film, it doesn’t seem like Gru has too much of a problem with this change.
Twist? Previously evil Gru is changing his ways and has a new mission: to save the world. With cool new gadgets like cars and rays, he’s ready to make the world a better place for his precious daughters.

We really hope that her love of the moon inspires her to be an astronaut one day, and not just in the sense of how Richard Branson wants to commercialize space travel. We want to see her get hired by NASA and on the first moon landing since December 11th, 1972 when Apollo 17 last touched down.
If that’s too far off to satiate this adorable little girl, she could also pass for Agnes in Despicable Me if Dreamworks decides to do a live-action version of the film.
I can’t help it. Listening to the jibberish squeals of Gru’s minions as they try to sing the Beach Boys’ “Barbara Ann” makes me go “d’aww.”
The new trailer for the sequel to Steve Carell’s Despicable Me has three of the yellow aliens combining harmonies and the fourth playing the noisemaker.
But don’t get too excited. We still have to wait until 2013 until the movie is released.
