Man, we sure hope so. I mean if the Kardashians and JWOWW can easily transition to the world of fashion, why can’t Karl Lagerfeld’s cat?
It seems as though his fluffy, white feline known as Choupette, might have a forthcoming clothing line with online retailer Net-a-Porter.
Two promos were released this week, including a behind the scenes look at Choupette’s day, from her POV. The cat directs a photoshoot, offering sartorial advice on heel selection and schmoozing the model until he ultimately finds his way to Karl, who gives him a big old smooch.
The video was actually created to celebrate the new Karl for Karl Lagerfeld collection available online, but it does raise the question: When will Choupette make her design debut? The socialite already has quite a following, sharing her daily musings on Twitter. Read more…
Kesha is going into the watch business. The “Tik-Tok” star helped design some Baby-G watches with Casio.
“Casio came to me to design some watches and I wrote ‘Tik Tok’ on a Casio keyboard … so it seemed like a natural fit,” the 24-year-old pop star told JustJared.com at the event.
One of Kesha’s designs is the American flag, and the other one is a leopard print.
Deadmau5 is asking his fans to design him a new head, reports CTV.
The Canadian electronic producer, who has a major underground following, has started a contest online to see who can design the best mouse head, which he so famously trademarked.
The contest, which can be viewed here, has some guidelines though. The designs must be original, may be created physically or by using Photoshop, and be 100 per cent creatively controlled by the designer.
The winner and a guest will win 2 VIP passes to a Deadmau5 concert in Los Angeles, with travel and two nights’ accommodation included. The next 10 top submissions will either receive VIP passes as well or official signed merchandise. Either way, pretty sweet deal.
Submissions are accepted until July 12, and fans will be able to vote online to pick a winner, who will be announced August 3.
If you’re creative, love Deadmau5, and love free things, I strongly recommend that you do this. If I could draw or build things, I would totally do it, but I’m limited to stickmen drawings. Good luck to all those who enter.
Katie Holmes is letting her 18-year-old stepdaughter, Isabella Cruise, apprentice at the actress’s fashion line called ‘Holmes & Yang,’ E Online reports.
Tom Cruise, Katie’s husband and Isabella’s father, shared his excitement for Isabella last week at a tribute dinner in his honor in L.A.
“Kate’s designing and [Isabella] is just working her way up,” Cruise said.
“She’s an artist, Bella, so it’s really great that she gets to work with it,” said Cruise. “She’s loving it.”
While Katie and son Connor were on hand to watch Tom receive the Humanitarian Award that night at the Beverly Wilshire, Bella was on her way back from the Big Apple to begin her apprenticeship.
Well, I’m jealous. Wouldn’t it be nice to be the child of a famous person who can help you with whatever career you want? I always thought little Suri would be the fashionista of the house, but looks like Isabella is well on her way to being a new designer. Good luck!
According to MTV.com, Lady Gaga announced Wednesday that she will be serving as the creative director for a new, specialty line of Polaroid Products.
Polaroid, who recently emerged from the fray of bankruptcy, is apparently set to release the first Gaga-themed products by the end of the year.
“I am so proud to announce my new partnership with Polaroid as the creative director and inventor of specialty projects,” said the pop star. “The Haus of Gaga has been developing prototypes in the vein of fashion/technology/photography innovation — blending the iconic history of Polaroid and instant film with the digital era — and we are excited to collaborate on these ventures with the Polaroid brand.”
