So, no hard feelings? Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley dressed up as his ex-wife Avril Lavigne while his girlfriend dressed up as Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. Whibley donned a blond wig with green streaks and a hoodie while his girlfriend Ari Cooper wore a Jack Daniels T-shirt and a blond wig as Kroeger.
While it’s pretty HILARZ the joke it also kind of mean-spirited. Whatever frustrations you have with your ex partner don’t need to be aired out in public or worse, turned into a joke on Halloween. You can’t take things in Celebrityville too seriously, but we can definitively say there were two people who probably didn’t think it was so funny.
Avril’s new fiance ranted against Whibley on Twitter: “Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha!” He added: “You owe us a couples bowling grudge match see you when I get back from Russia!” Ouch!!
We really can’t form an opinion on any controversial piece of Hollywood gossip until Taiwanese animation comedy site NMA.TV gives us their take. In the latest edition, they put Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger’s engagement in perspective for us, creating a helpful timeline of when the pair first met in relation to Avril’s romance with Brody Jenner and marriage to Sum 41 front man Deryck Whibley.
NMAWorldEdition manages to poke fun of Chavril’s unlikely partnership and their horrible music, which terrorizes people around the world. At the heart, the channel wisely predicts a much deeper concern: are their forthcoming vows a sign of the apocalypse?

Sum 41 star Deryck Whibley collapsed onstage at a concert in Sendai, Japan last week, reports Canoe.
The singer was carried backstage to recover and the band had to halt the gig until he felt better.
A video featuring the Canadian star in pain has been posted online, showing him writhing around the floor in discomfort and telling his bandmates, “My knees were quivering and I couldn’t stand… I don’t know what happened, I never had that feeling.”
It is still not clear why Whibley fell to his knees, but the scare won’t end the tour. Sum 41 will continue their Japanese trek with shows in Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo this week.

Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 was attacked and subsequently hospitalized in Japan after three people went after him in a bar Thursday night, reports E! Online.
“It is unfortunate to say, but Deryck Whibley is still in the hospital,” reads a statement posted on the band’s official Facebook page. “He was attacked late last night in Japan. We are waiting for results and we are hoping for the best. Thanks for your support.”
It is being reported that Japanese police are investigating the incident but as of yet the injuries sustained are unkown. With this news, it’s unlikely that Sum 41 will be playing their scheduled shows in Osaka and Tokyo in Japan.
Are we crazy, or did this just happen with Avril and a different boy?
Pop singer Avril Lavigne and The Hills star Brody Jenner reportedly became tattoo buddies at the Mario Barth King Ink in the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas on Saturday night, according to TMZ.com. They requested matching lightning bolt tattoos; Jenner got his on his neck, and Lavigne got hers on her wrist.
Interestingly, just three weeks ago, Lavigne was spotted walking out of a Los Angeles tattoo parlor with her ex-husband, Deryck Whibley (of Sum-41), and they each had bandages on their forearms.
Could this be the latest trend in celebrity bonding?
Are Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner official? Is Deryck Whibley being shown the door? There is some evidence to support that theory.
If you spend Easter with a guy and his Mom, it’s a pretty safe bet your relationship is getting serious. And that’s what Avril did. According to E! Online Avril had dinner with Brody and his Mom Linda Thompson for a Sunday night Easter dinner.
The trio went to the Red Rocket Bar on Sunset where Avril had a long hug with Linda.
On Saturday Avril was also seen with Brody. The pair hit El Compadre together Saturday night trying to slip under the radar.
“They were both wearing hooded sweatshirts and trying keep a low profile,” a fellow diner tells me, pointing out, ”They had been eating in the back room.”
It’s sad because Deryck and Avril were a nice, cute, punk rock couple. But everything must come to an end.
We are not saying that we are mind readers or we can see into the future, however we are not surprised by Avril Lavigne’s break up from her rocker husband Deryck Whibley. As Jordan explained in our XM radio show last week, we had an opportunity to interview Avril a few weeks ago when she was promoting the launch of her new clothing line, Abbey Dawn. We also saw Deryck there and had a quick interview with him. Although Deryck tried to be as courteous as possible, it was more than clear that he had no interest in being there, and there was something else happening behind the scenes. He just stood in the corner with a pissed off look. You can check out the interview below. Nevertheless we wish both Avril and Deryck the best of luck.
Ever wanted to look like Avril Lavigne? Well now is your chance. Canada’s punk princess has conquered the music world and now is out to conquer the fashion world with her new line Abbey Dawn. Jordan spoke with Avril and her husband Deryck about the newest project during the Toronto launch.
Avril Lavigne has released a statement of apology after clashing with paparazzi in Los Angeles last week.
A video currently making the rounds online shows Lavigne and her husband, Sum 41 front-man Deryck Whibley, pestering photographers as they get into an SUV.
Lavigne is shown spitting and laughing at the media throng from the inside of the car. According to reports, she also spat at photographers in a second incident.
Reuters reports that, in the statement, the pop singer says she “meant no offense” to fans, but stopped short of saying the same for the paparazzi.
She went on to say that her behaviour was “a reaction to the persistent attack from the paparazzi” and that “it’s trying, at best, dealing with their insistent intrusions.”
