We are not saying that we are mind readers or we can see into the future, however we are not surprised by Avril Lavigne’s break up from her rocker husband Deryck Whibley. As Jordan explained in our XM radio show last week, we had an opportunity to interview Avril a few weeks ago when she was promoting the launch of her new clothing line, Abbey Dawn. We also saw Deryck there and had a quick interview with him. Although Deryck tried to be as courteous as possible, it was more than clear that he had no interest in being there, and there was something else happening behind the scenes. Ever wanted to look like Avril Lavigne? Well now is your chance. Canada’s punk princess has conquered the music world and now is out to conquer the fashion world with her new line Abbey Dawn. Jordan spoke with Avril and her husband Deryck about the newest project during the Toronto launch.

Avril Lavigne has released a statement of apology after clashing with paparazzi in Los Angeles last week.

A video currently making the rounds online shows Lavigne and her husband, Sum 41 front-man Deryck Whibley, pestering photographers as they get into an SUV.

Lavigne is shown spitting and laughing at the media throng from the inside of the car. According to reports, she also spat at photographers in a second incident.

Reuters reports that, in the statement, the pop singer says she “meant no offense” to fans, but stopped short of saying the same for the paparazzi.

She went on to say that her behaviour was “a reaction to the persistent attack from the paparazzi” and that “it’s trying, at best, dealing with their insistent intrusions.”
