David Carradine’s widow has filed a lawsuit against the production company that produced, Stretch, one of her late husband’s final films, reports TMZ.

Even though the actor’s death seemed to be an accident, Anne Carradine thinks otherwise.  She is suing the production company for alleged breach of contract and wrongful death.

According to the suit obtained by TMZ, David was scheduled to have dinner with the director of Stretch.  The assistant assigned to David left for the meal without the star, even after calling him and not receiving an answer.

Further information states that when David did get in contact with his assistant, he was told that “they were already across town and David Carradine would have to make his own arrangements that evening.”

The actor was found dead in his hotel room the next morning.

The lawsuit claims that had the production company been caring for David Carradine as his contract stated they would, he would not have died.

In the midst of the tumultuous investigation surrounding his death, David Carradine has been laid to rest in Los Angeles.

Private funeral services took place Saturday afternoon for the Kill Bill star, with more than 400 mourners turning out at the Forest Lawn cemetery to pay their respects.

Reports from E! online state that several celebrity friends attended the memorial service, including Kill Bill costars Lucy Liu, Darly Hannah and Michael Madsen, as well as Tom Selleck, Jane Seymour, Edward James Olmos, Ali Larter, Frances Fisher, James Cromwell and Rob Schneider.

The body of the 72-year-old David Carradine was found June 4, hanging naked in a hotel room in Bangkok. Despite initial speculation that Carradine’s death was a suicide, the Carradine family’s forensics expert, Michael Baden, announced Thursday that the actor did not take his own life.
