Dave Navarro Still Wants to Hug His Ex

Dave Navarro has no ill-feelings toward his ex, Carmen Electra.

The rocker told People magazine that he couldn’t wait to see her back stage at the 2006 Billboard Music Awards, so he could give her a “big bear hug.”

The couple, who were married for three years, split this past August. Despite that, Navarro still calls Electra his best friend.

“Just because your romantic life ends doesn’t mean your friendship has to. It’s all good. It’s good for us. Maybe we can be an example of sorts. She’s awesome,” he said.

And while Electra told People last month she was ready to date again, Navarro says he is not.

“No. After going through a marriage, the last thing I want to do is date. I have a social life, but no girlfriend.”

Dave Navarro On The Rebound

Dave Navarro is apparently still on the rebound from his breakup with actress Carmen Electra.

The Rockstar: Supernova co-host and Panic Channel guitarist was spotted on the weekend with an unknown woman. AOL has posted video of Navarro driving a car with the woman in the passenger seat.

This is the second woman Navarro has been linked to since he and Electra split. He was previously rumoured to be dating adult star Jenna Jameson.

Dave Navarro Creates New TV Series

Dave Navarro, current judge/band member on “Rock Star: Supernova” and guitarist for The Panic Channel, is expanding further into the world of television.

Billboard reports that Navarro has come up with a new TV series called “The Product.” The show will look at the behind-the-scenes realities of playing in a popular rock band.

“Basically, it’s the life of a rock band as a dysfunctional family,” says the evil Navarro. “It’s almost a show about a rock band’s relationships and inner struggles more so than it is about a rock band playing music.”

The series was co-created with writer Cliff Dorfman (”Entourage”) and journalist Neil Strauss.

The one-hour drama has already been picked up by FX, though no premiere date has been set.

Carmen and Dave Get a Divorce

Looks like Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro won’t be reconciling from their split.

E! Online is reporting that Electra filed for divorce from her rocker husband today, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

She also requested that all of her assets be considered separate possessions, and that the couple’s prenump be upheld.

Electra and Navarro announced their separation only a month ago, the couple had been married for three years.

“(We) love each other, we are and always will be best friends. In fact, we are supporting each other through this time. What better way to get through a tough spot than with your best friend?” Navarro wrote on his blog last month about the couple’s split.

Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro Split

Here’s a new rule for all married couples out there: don’t get your own show on MTV.

Just like Nick and Jessica, stars of Newlyweds, Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra have separated. The two once starred in MTV’s Til Death Do Us Part.

Reuters reports that Electra, a former Baywatch girl, and Navarro, current co-host of Rock Star: Supernova, are “amicably separating,” according to publicist Bill Reece. No other details of the break-up were provided.

The two married in November 2003, with the wedding documented and broadcast on television as part of their MTV show.

It was the second marriage for Electra, 34, after a brief stint as basketball star Dennis Rodman’s wife.

The 39-year-old Navarro is best known as a guitarist for rock bands like Jane’s Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
