Stuart Edge may have actually found a way to get girls to kiss him using magic tricks.
Let’s get this straight: unless you’re living in Hogwarts, magic tricks aren’t really the most impressive thing a guy could do to win over a girl. But Stuart Edge may have actually found a way to get girls to kiss him using magic tricks.
In the description, Edge says he’ll do a tutorial if the video reaches 1 million views. So guys, if you finally want to be able to impress girls with a magic trick (or at the very least get a kiss out of it), you might as well start hitting replay now.
A couple of guys show the rest of male-kind what may be the easiest way to pick up a girl. Just watch as they score phone numbers without having to say anything.
Yes, what kind? Because when these guys claimed to have mastered the easiest way to pick up girls, at least they asked the girls to put the numbers in their phone. They’re not exactly Ryan Gosling and it’s all kind of creepy, so I’m hoping these girls gave them some fake digits. At least the guy who sang those Taylor Swift lyrics put in some effort and he totally deserved to get a date out of that.
Oh, man. Ladies, please tell me you don’t actually fall for this.
The boys over at Vitalyzd TV try out a new pick-up technique where all they have to do is ask passing girls to put their numbers on their phone. According to the, only about 25 per cent of the girls they approached rejected them or had a boyfriend.
We’d give these guys an F for effort and creativity (or is it an A?). At least this guy tried to pick up girls with Taylor Swift lyrics!
Psychology Today recently released a study on the most common places where Craigslist Missed Connections occur. While some may not be surprising (subways in the state of New York, bars in Winconsin and North Dakota), others are a little worrisome.
According to their map, Wal-Mart appears to be a popular place for believers in love to spot their dream guy or gal in about 14 states. Is it the drastically reduced good that make people fall in love at first site or is it the Wal-Mart greeters they’re really eyeing?
With this in mind, we start wondering what would be the worst places to meet our futures soulmates.
1. The Strip Club
Because how do you explain this chance encounter with your folks?
2. In Jail

Wouldn’t be the greatest place to try and find your “Happily Ever After.”

Given Taylor Swift’s not-so-subtle dig at Harry Styles during her Grammy performance, it’s nice to see Styles take the high road when he was asked about his brief relationship with the country singer.
The One Direction member sat down with London’s Capital FM radio station on Sunday to help promote the band’s charity single, “One Way Or Another.” When asked what life was like post-Swift, Styles said, “I’m okay, thank you for asking. I’m good.”
The One Direction member was a gentleman as he had nothing but kind words to say when it came to Swift’s Grammy performance. “She’s a great performer and she always performs great,” he said. “She’s always good on the stage. She’s been doing it a long time. She knows what she’s doing on stage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance. It was good.”
The dig doesn’t seem to have affected Styles as he and a friend were spotted partying around Leeds University on Valentine’s Day, according to Us Weekly. Swift, on the other hand, told Ryan Seacrest earlier this month that she would probably spend the romantic holiday either with friends or rehearsing.
Holy shit. MGK is the KING.
We’re giving him an honorary gold crown (with an official ANDPOP engraving of course) for giving one of the most chilled out, honest interviews we’ve ever had. ANDPOP’s Casey Jones sat down with the Cleveland rapper and knew it would be a good interview as soon as he started rolling a joint, completely casual. Read more…
Australian prankster Adrian Van Oyen’s New Year’s resolution was to get a girlfriend but his dating life wasn’t going so well. After so many failed attempts, he decided to go down in flames by creating a list of 100 terrible pick-up lines and trying them out on unsuspecting women in public.
Considering the prankster is pretty cute and confident, I’m surprised he can’t find a date! Maybe he wasn’t giving himself enough time?
Prankster extraordinaire Andrew Hales schools shy guys on how to pick up girls in a new video, in which he approaches a brunette, tells her she’s cute and asks for her number. Yes, it’s as simple as that guys — no pranks, grade school magic or elaborate speeches needed.
After she agreed he asked if she new who he was, like he was some kind of celebrity. He wrote on his YouTube channel LAHWF: “I know, I know… sometimes when I’m at UVU enough people will recognize me and I’ll start to feel like the center of the universe, so I’ll ask that afterwords to make sure people aren’t playing along or anything that isn’t natural. I later explained everything when we first hung out a couple weeks later. She’s a sweet girl : )”
Do you think it was a smooth pick-up?

You might complain about all the sketchy dudes you meet through online dating sites like eHarmony and Plenty of Fish, dreaming of a time when couples met naturally by locking eyes in a coffee shop or bumping into one another one the subway. Well, I have news for you: Life before dating sites wasn’t much better.
Case in point: These dating profiles from the 80s, featuring Fred the Viking, wild boy Maurice, Big Phil and blue-eyed Monroe. Mullets, high-rise jeans and weird facial hair aside, the guys manage to be creepy and ridiculously demanding.
Things they are looking for: Fun.
Things they aren’t looking for: Food-noshing fatties, hamsters, dopers, smokers, alcoholics, money-grabbers, crazies, sexual abusers and power women who don’t like to clean the house.
Do you think any of these guys ended up with dates?

Long before Danny was the lead singer of The Script, he had his first french kiss with a schoolgirl back in Dublin. Unfortunately their young love only lasted two weeks because she turned out to be a chain smoker. Thankfully, he still showed us his unique kissing technique we’ve since dubbed the “round and round.”
“It had been built up for a good week, There was preparations going on, I was having chats with the older guys in the yard. Like ‘What do you do?’ I remember them saying just move your tongue round and around and round and round. I remember kissing the girl and going ‘this is weird!’”
In this episode of Way Back When, Danny, Glen and Mark talk to ANDPOP’s Jordan Bortolotti about young love, useless talents and their favourite retro video games… Duck Hunt anyone?

New Year’s Eve is the night to wrap up a wonderful year with friends and family, but honestly, it can be a drag if you’re single. When the clock strikes midnight and all the couples start smooching it can get awkward standing in a corner with your loved one, Captain Morgan. Don’t turn to Adele tunes or Ben and Jerry’s:

Whether alone or with a group of fellow single friends, you can skip the parties, choose your comfiest pj’s and watch these great movies instead.
Bridget Jones’s Diary
Bridget Jones’ s Diary stars Renée Zellweger as Bridget, a singleton who makes a resolution to better herself and work on dealing with her imperfections. From her weight to her lacklustre dating life, she fills her diary with every honest thought. She later finds herself wrapped in a triangle when both her womanizing boss, played by Hugh Grant, and frenemy played by Colin Firth, fancy her.
Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist
This isn’t technically a New Year’s movie but Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist offers laughs and is all about moving on from horrible relationships. I thought it deserved a spot on this list. Nick, played by the adorable Michael Cera, is depressed after his girlfriend breaks up with him. Meanwhile Nora, played by Kat Dennings, is stuck in a horrible friends with benefits situation. When these two meet they realize they can do better and find themselves on an adventure when they lose Nora’s friend in New York. Plus it has an amazing soundtrack so it’s a win-win!
When Harry Met Sally
Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan play the original “friends with benefits” couple in this popular 1989 New Year’s flick. After being friends for years they consider the possibility of a more intimate relationship but fear it would make things awkward. And how can we forget THIS memorable moment?

200 Cigarettes
Set in 1981, 200 Cigarettes stars Ben and Casey Affleck, Kate Hudson, Christina Ricci and Paul Rudd, all playing characters in their 20s on their way to a New Year’s party. This film is all about dealing with relationships and being lonely, so it’s perfect for the occasion.

Tommy Woolridge has never been on a real date so he decided to go on some spontaneous blind dates without inviting any girls in advance. Naturally, the awkwardness we’ve come to know and love in the YouTube star seeps out, as he approaches random girls reading in parks and presents them with a single red rose.
The girls don’t realize it’s a prank and think the whole thing is either a mixup or that the dude is a major CREEP. Either way, most of them are pretty embarrassed for him. Previously, Woolridge attempted to use Taylor Swift and Blink 182 lyrics as pick-up lines.
So far, he hasn’t met his soulmate through his YouTube pranks, but he might want to consider one of his top commenters as a suitor:
How would you react if some random dude approached you and said you had a blind date?

In totally inconsequential, pointless news of the day, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are actually living in the 80s teen movie Dirty Dancing. We know this because sometime during their intense love affair, which is blossoming as beautifully as a single red rose, Harry was photographed picking up Taylor in what can only be called a Patrick Swayze lift.

The photo at the top of the article was taken of the One Direction singer with the serial dater at the Z100 Jingle Ball after-party. Earlier that night, the two were spotted (blush) kissing. Regardless of what you think of them you have to admit they’re cute. And they really know how to work a photo op.

There are couples that take the high route in breakups:

And couples that take the low route:

Then there are those special couples that like to take what I call the “Taylor Swift” route, by writing a song about it. Jonathan and Ivory were dating for five whole years and decided their relationship wasn’t working. They announced their breakup to their friends and their YouTube fans through a song called “We’ve Got To Break Up.” Jonathan writes a song a day for his YouTube channel and this is #1435 (seriously).
He wrote on his YouTube page: “Yes, it’s true folks. Ivory and I are splitting up. It’s really sad. I’m really sad. I think you may have been able to tell in some recent songs. It’s going to be a hard road ahead for me, but I know that this is the right decision and that eventually we’ll both be happier in the end.”
Jonathan wants to have kids but Ivory isn’t on the same page. It’s kind of depressing but catchy at the same time. It also shows you don’t have to HATE your ex-boyfriend or girlfriend after you breakup. What’s the sanest breakup you’ve ever been through?

These ladies are all looking for gay BFFs on the MALE networking system Grindr because apparently they’re way better at giving dating advice, gossiping (about Tina Turner) and long walks in the mall.
You’d be surprised how many women hijack the male networking system to find new friends because apparently GBFFs (gay BFFs) are way better at shopping for shoes while talking about the merits of Liz & Dick. You’ll be all like Jack and Karen on Will and Grace or Madonna and Rupert Everett in The Next Best Thing AND and…
So, if you know anyone who’s looking. [Source]

You might think using pickup lines from the TLC reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is a doomed experiment in dating but this guy actually managed to do it!
Mikey Day challenged fellow comedian Trevor Moore to pickup a girl using one liners from the redneck pageant queen on Jay Leno.
The first couple girls seemed slightly disgusted but the third seemed charmed with this zinger: “Mama says that pretty comes in all different sizes, my size is cute. You wanna trade numbers?”
I don’t think many girls would be quite as forthcoming. Would you trade numbers with a guy who used a Honey Boo Boo pick up line?

One Direction got felt up by some INCREDIBLY LUCKY fans on Ellen yesterday in what I’m sure was one of the most seductive prime time television games the guys have ever played. Three fans were blindfolded and told to identify certain members of the band by fondling them all over (well, PG fondling).
Naturally, prankster Niall managed to get one of the ladies to grope his arse while he was straddling Harry’s back, and strangely, none of this sounds out of character.
All three ladies got iPads for playing but that really doesn’t compare to getting a hug from the one and only Harry Styles… and feeling Niall’s toosh.
The guys also talked about their dating lives and confirmed who’s single. Harry, Niall and the recently broken up Liam are all ready to mingle, and described their perfect ladies. Niall is looking for an American cutey with a sense of humor and Harry is looking for someone funny like Ellen (though she seemed to be more into Niall).
Of course, they also performed their classic “What Makes You Beautiful” for the 5000-strong crowd, some of which were sitting on rooftops of nearby buildings.

Last year, Rihanna graced the Ellen DeGeneres Show with her presence to talk about boys and her um… “her.” In the hilarious interview, Rihanna explains that her “her” just wasn’t getting any, even though she was granted the title Sexiest Woman Alive. The singer came back to The Ellen Show with an update on her situation. “She” is doing just fine.
In the interview, Ellen leans in to Rihanna and screams the words “good for you! I’m so happy for you.” I’m happy too, because now she can visit the Ellen Show more frequently for updates on her life. Just kidding, but these Rihanna interviews are always promising.
Besides discussing Rihanna’s “her,” Ellen quizzed the singer on who she would rather date. In a choice between George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Rihanna contemplated furiously. Finally she concluded, “you think about it and then you look at Brad Pitt and it’s like ‘damn.’” Sucks to be George Clooney.

Here’s one from the vault. Need some dating advice? Ask Propecia the Crack Hoe. The outspoken, middle aged woman’s favourite activity is crocheting but she’s not above telling dudes to have better hygiene (“wash your smelly balls”) or telling ladies to be independent (“dump the mother-f*cking prick”).
Noted Propecia.

Didn’t anyone tell The Today Show it’s impolite to ask questions about private relationships? Interviewer Savannah Guthrie waited until the very end of her interview this morning to ask whether Kristen and Robert Pattinson are back together again. It was for the good of the fans, Guthrie argued.
The usually shy Stewart answered coyly, neither confirming no denying the rumours. ”Funny you mention that,” K-Stew said. “I’m just going to let people watch whatever little movie they would like to think our lives are and go for it. Keep ‘em guessing, I always say.”

I’m presuming The Today Show either had permission to ask the question, giving Stewart sufficient time to come up with a clever answer. Either that, or they were just ballsy enough to go there. Either way, Kristen has told us to think whatever we want to think so in my head her and RPatz are cuddling under Snuggies watching reruns of Dawson’s Creek as I write this.
Of course, Stewart was there to promote the next instalment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Do you think they’re back together?
