Emmy winner Cynthia Nixon will make a guest appearance on the Fox medical drama House in December, reports the Associated Press.

Nixon will play a “sharp-witted patient who suffers from a mysterious seizure and goes toe-to-toe” with Hugh Laurie’s character, Gregory House, while he and his team try to discover the source of her seizures.

This is Nixon’s second guest role in a hospital drama, after playing a woman who had a stroke on “ER” last season.

Nixon is best known for her role as Miranda Hobbes on HBO’s Sex and the City.
