Amidst the heated split between Kelsey Grammer and ex-wife Camille Grammer, Kelsey is fighting for sole custody of their children.
The ‘Frasier’ star, 56, is requesting primary physical custody of Mason, 9, and Jude, 6 – the two children he has with the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star, 42.
The filing, which offers Camille time with the kids during half of their summer and half of their winter break, asks for the new custody agreement to begin after July 2, one year since the reality star filed for divorce from the now remarried actor.
“Any statement would be inappropriate,” Kelsey’s rep said. “The filing speaks for itself.”
I think both parents are fit to take care of their children, so an equal share seems fair to me. Unless Camille is absolutely crazy behind the scenes, I don’t think he judge will give full custody to Grammer.
As if Charlie Sheen hasn’t dominated news headlines already, here’s another story to keep you shaking your heads.
Police arrived at Sheen’s doorstep yesterday, taking his two sons with soon-to-be ex-wife Brooke Mueller after Mueller filed for a restraining order against Sheen following what her lawyer says was ”specific, descriptive threats.” The restraining order, which Mueller obtained a couple days ago, requires Sheen to stay 100 yards away from her. But of course this doesn’t bother him – he reportedly told TMZ that he was considering getting a restraining order against Mueller anyway, due to her erotic behaviour. Right, that’s what they all say.
Mueller is also fighting for custody, telling the judge he should return her sons to her after Sheen’s blow-up during a trip to the Bahamas with Mueller last week, along with the string of Sheen-bursts, following the cancellation Two and a Half Men for the remainder of this season. And apparently, the judge agrees – who wouldn’t?
According to Perez Hilton, this isn’t the first time Mueller has demanded the courts to take her sons away from Sheen’s home. Mueller had originally gone to the Beverly Hills Police Department with her plea, only to be turned away and told that she was at the wrong police department, since Sheen does not live in Beverly Hills. Good job!
Their two sons, Bob and Max, who are almost two years old, had been living with Sheen in his Mulholland Estates home since before the Bahamas debacle, but as of recently have been staying with Mueller.
“I was more surprised,” Moira Fiore, Mueller’s mother, told E! News in light of Sheen’s recent…outbursts, to put it mildly. “Everything in the past two days really surprised all of us, it’s just not like him. So yes, we’re very upset, but that’s life.”
Post-Bahamas, Sheen was saying he wanted to purchase a house for the family so they would be living closer to him – I sure hope it was at least 100 yards away!
Of course, Sheen still thinks he has a fighting chance in winning this battle, tweeting last night, “My sons are fine… My path is now clear… Defeat is not an option..!”, and claiming that he deserves full custody due to Mueller’s struggle with substance abuse and her erotic behaviour. Way to call the kettle a drug-addict, pot… I mean, Charlie. Right, sorry, Charlie doesn’t do drugs. Guess you’re not buying that house for Brooke and your two sons anymore, are you?
“Brooke does have the children now,” Fiore told E! News. “I’m sure if he’s going to go for full custody then she will, too.”
And so the Sheen-Mueller custody battle begins. All we can say is, good luck, Charlie!
Another day, another goes wrong for Oksana Girgorieva. According to TMZ, her most recent law firm recently stepped down as her representation in court, and although she claims that she fired them this still leaves her in a tough spot.
The firm that just quit was home to some of the best family law lawyers in Los Angeles and with their departure Oksana doesn’t have anyone representing her that specializes in the field—which will make it pretty difficult to go to battle against Mel Gibson in a custody case.
Although there have been some decisions made for their child, Lucia, Grigorieva and Gibson have yet to ink any kind of long-term custody agreement. If Oksana can’t lock down a new attorney, Gibson could walk all over her in court.
Despite not having a lawyers who specializes in state family law currently, Oksana is said to be searching for a new one—but we can only imagine how hard that’s going to be, since the best of the best just walked out on her.
