Kramer Tries to Restore Image

seinfeldSeinfeld’s Michael Richards, aka Kramer, made an appearance on Curb Your Enthusiasm, attempting to make a joke out of his 2006 racist rant at the Laugh Factory, TMZ reports.

In an episode of Seinfeld-creator Larry David’s popular series, Richards goes off on a African-American character and threatening him, says, “”If only there were a horrible name that I could call you … that would make you as angry as I am.”

At the same time he is being filmed by a group of spectators, mimicing the 2006 incident. He then pulls of a few Kramer-like gestures and storms off.

For fans of Richards, the 2006 tirade was the disappointing destruction of arguably the most popular character in sitcom history. While this may have helped to ease the tension, I think the best thing for Richards is to bury the incident completely.

Curb’s Return Sparks Enthusiasm

The Larry David smash “Curb Your Enthusiasm” has been renewed by HBO, E! Online reports.

It was widely assumed after last year’s season ender aptly titled “The End,” that it was actually the end of the HBO comedy. In the episode, David donates a kidney to Richard Lewis – which almost saw fatal consequences.

Especially when in December of last year, David alluded to the very posibility that the last episode of season five was the last episode of the season.

HBO confirmed today that it had reached a deal with David to produce 10 episodes. Filming begins in October, and it is assumed the new episodes will air in 2007 – though a concrete air date has not been released yet.

All the regular cast members are set to return, and David and HBO have not ruled out the possibility of future seasons to come, which means the show could live on beyond season six.
