A professional complex that houses the production companies of both Tom Cruise and Salma Hayek has been hit with an anthrax scare.

According to E! News, a building-wide memo gone out informing all tenants of the Los Angeles’ MGM Tower that a anonymous phone call was made to the building’s main switchboard, stating a deadly virus would be placed into the building’s ventilation system, starting on the 20th floor.

The memo that circulated around the building stated that “due to lack of credibility of the threat, the building, LAPD and MGM are not recommending that we take any actions.”

Although engineers examined the ventilation system and found no signs of tampering, outside air has been blocked from entering the building and security was tightened on the complex’s heat- and air-control rooms by prohibiting tenants or guests from entering the areas.

No word whether Cruise or Hayek were in the building at the time of the scare.

They welcomed daughter Suri in April.

Scientology’s highest profile couple, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, welcomed a baby girl into their family Tuesday, according to a Cruise spokesperson.

Arnold Robinson said Holmes gave birth to a t pound, 7 ounce girl, which they named Suri.

“Both mother and daughter are doing well,” he said in a statement.

According to the AP, the girl was born in Los Angeles but the exact location was not revealed to media.

This is the first baby for Holmes, 27, and third for the 43-year-old Cruise. Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman have an adopted daughter and son.

The couple caused quite a ruckus as the media made a big deal of a “silent birth,” a tradition in the scientology religion. Nobody in the birth room was allowed to speak while Holmes gave birth. At first, reports said Holmes was not allowed to make noise either, but Cruise denied that claim in an interview with Diane Sawyer last week.

Photographer and reporters waited outside the couple’s house in Beverly Hills. About 12 were waiting just before the birth, and as soon as the birth was announced, that number doubled, and is expected to continued to increase.

Cruise and Holmes have dated since April 2005. They plan to wed this year.

Days ago, a very pregnant Holmes was seen buying blue baby clothes, not even sparing a glance at duds for girls.
