Courtney Love has offered to take Lindsay Lohan under the loose skin hanging from her arm, that could pass off as her “wing”. Love, an addict herself, thinks she’ll make a good mentor for Lindsay.

CTV News just posted snippets of Love’s recent interview with Details Magazine, where she shared her reasoning:

“I’ve taken up Lohan because nobody else will. [She's] further down the line than I was, because there was no [gossip websites like] TMZ then.”

This makes about as much sense as letting Jerry Sandusky babysit an eight-year-old. However, we’ll try and hold back our laughter and focus on the facts.

First, there’s an overwhelming amount of documentary footage that suggests Love and her late husband Kurt Cobain spent most of their married life using heroin. She also encountered legal troubles in the early 2000s for possession and violating her probation. Furthermore, this is the same woman whose own daughter emancipated herself at age 17.

It’s these failures that Courtney thinks would make her the ideal sobriety coach.

“I went up to Lindsay’s room one time and there was a show on called ’101 Celebrity Oops’ and I am like every other one, you know – boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing s**t at Madonna, you know, whatever. I’m like ‘Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!’” she reveals to Details Magazine.

Drugs are bad? Really? This is the shining insight that is going to save Lohan? Lindsay has already been to rehab five times and with Love on her side it’s likely we’re going to witness a sixth.

On the bright side, maybe Love can be the mother figure Lindsay never had and in return, Lindsay can be the one daughter who never ran away from home.

Courtney Love is back on her over-sharing bandwagon. This time around, the rocker is claiming that she saved Kelly Osbourne and Lindsay Lohan from horrible fates.

Love reveals that a few years ago, she actually had to save Osbourne’s life via CPR after she blacked out from some kind of overdose. She recalls:

“I still can’t escape the stigma [of a drug addict] for some reason,” Love said. “Even people like Kelly Osbourne feel free to f–k with me … This is a girl whose life I have saved twice, once with CPR and another time with CPR and violence — by which I mean I had to poke her furiously in certain places to wake her up from her coma. It wasn’t long ago when Kim Stewart was screaming, ‘Courtney, what are we going do? Kelly Osbourne is blue on the floor!’ Kelly wasn’t doing that well back then.”

Love goes on to explain how some young girls of Hollywood actually come to her for guidance when they hit rock bottom as well – like Lohan.

“Lindsay Lohan called me after she was arrested. The judge presiding over her case was the same judge who presided over mine. He was a very sweet man. I think he was an ex-alcoholic himself. I told Lindsay to just get it together and trust the judge, and Lindsay’s father called me for advice every day … What am I, a junkie Auntie Mame?”

That’s very nice and all, but is Love really the best person to go to advice for? Has she really gotten her act together? Sure, she’s doing a lot better than how she used to be, but she ain’t no Mother Theresa either.

Last month, an announcement was made that a Kurt Cobain biopic was to be filmed, and according to CHARTattack, this has resulted in a flood of suggestions as to who should play the late front man of the legendary grunge group, Nirvana.

Cobain committed suicide in April of 1994.

Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain, Donnie Darko) is the most recent actor to be added to the list of possible “Cobains.”  Jokingly, it was pointed out that since he’s got long hair now, for his new role in Prince of Persia, he could fit the role.

“I don’t know if I’d be the right choice – but the hair from Prince Of Persia could translate somehow,” Gyllenhaal told NME.  “We could just bleach it!”

The rumours last month were that Robert Pattinson (Twilight) would play Cobain, but Courtney Love, Cobain’s widow, squashed those hopes.  Love said that she would rather see Ryan Gosling (The Believer) or James McAvoy (Atonement) play the role.

Gosling has got great acting skills and has proven himself to be able to pull off a wide variety of roles.

Although McAvoy is only just beginning to gain recognition on this side of the pond, he is also great.  He’s won BAFTA (British Academy Of Film And Television Arts) Awards … meaning he is good.

There is also Heath Ledger.  But seeing as he is dead, this is not going to happen.  But he would have been fantastic as Cobain.  He was deep, dark, and a little troubled in his own right.  He also displayed top quality acting chops, and while he was alive, Ledger could pretty much take on any role thrown at him.

And why not Emma Watson?  Cate Blanchett played Bob Dylan and got nominated for an Academy Award.  There is no reason why Hermione Grainger can’t turn into the grunge rocker.  And she could also bring a whole new audience to appreciate Cobain.

From here, the list goes on and on.  But it’s all in the hands of Courtney Love now, more or less.  Hopefully this turns out OK.

Lily Allen and Courtney Love were recently involved in a Twitter war after getting in a verbal argument at last week’s (Feb. 24) Shockwaves NME Awards, reports NME.com.

The two women came to blows during the O2 Academy Brixton ceremony, and although Allen originally denied having a “bust-up” with Love, she did not shy away from Tweeting her thoughts.

“Courtney Love and I did NOT have a bust-up at the NME’s. There was an exchange of words, yes, she’s upset because she has got it into her head that I put a lock on some dresses for the Brit Awards 2010. She’s made no secret of this, and when I saw her at the NME’s she tried to talk to me and I told her to shut up (and) stop spreading stupid rumours about me,” Allen wrote in a string of Tweets. “And that’s pretty much it. I would never fight with her, as a rule I don’t pick on crazy old ladies.”

In response to Allen’s Tweets, Love launched into her own battle, even posting an unflattering Twitpic of Allen on stage.

“Every time she [Allen] walked by me absolutely inappropriately frocked at the NME Awards I wouldn’t be faulted for thinking she was at a premiere,” Love Tweeted, adding: “Sort of like an oversteriod very nasty girl version of me when I was 30.”

Love also accused Allen of behaving inappropriately at her house while her daughter Frances Bean was asleep. Allen carried on the fight by posting an unflattering Twitpic of Love. However, Allen then apologized for posting the photo, Tweeting: “Sorry, that was mean. Enuff of these juvenile musings, I should never have risen to the bait. Silly Lily.” Allen’s Tweets have since been free of Love.

It seems like a long time coming, but Courtney Love has lost legal control of her daughter, Francis Bean Cobain, following a court decision on Friday.  Now assuming guardianship of 17-year-old Francis Bean is Kurt Cobain’s mother Wendy O’Connor and his sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain.

Guardianships such as this are often asserted when the parent in control is proven to no longer be capable to care for their child, according to TMZ.

Apparently the court decision was based on a “long period of unstable conduct” – Love, 45, did not appear in court on Friday when the decision was made, although the rest of the proceedings are sealed.

The decision was made on behalf of both Francis Bean’s well-being and her financial stability, however her new guardians will not have control over her trust fund, established after her father, Kurt Cobain’s death.

This is not the first time Love’s parenting has been questioned. In 2003, O’Connor was granted control of Francis Bean after Love was arrested for attempting to break in to an ex-boyfriend’s home, then overdosed on painkillers and threatened suicide. Following this incident, it took Love two years to win back custody of her daughter.

“Life is about choices,” Love said in a statement in 2005, according to the New York Daily News. “And I’ve chosen to move forward with my life in a healthy and positive way.”

Courtney Love spent Thanksgiving partying at New York City club 10ak with actor DJ Qualls, reports Perez Hilton. The pair then reportedly went to strip club Scores with her band, Hole.

“Courtney was partying at 10ak with her band and Qualls, who was on the next table, introduced himself,” said a source. “They hit it off and ended up talking very closely and making out. She was all over him. Courtney then dragged him and her band to Scores.”

They stayed at the strip club until 4 a.m.

Ah, Twitter, where would we be without you.

In the first of today’s Twitter-leaked news stories, Courtney Love spilled the virtual beans last week about her outrage over the new Kurt Cobain Guitar Hero avatar.

“FOR THE RECORD, I DID NOT APPROVE KURTS AVATAR FOR GUYITARHERO5. i think Kurt would despise this game alone let alone this avatar,” she wrote.

Then came the more telling post: “We are going to sue the shit out of Activision we being the Trust the Estate the LLC the various LLCs Cobain Enterprises.”

Activision has since responded in a less-mouthy fashion.

“Guitar Hero secured the necessary licensing rights from the Cobain estate in a written agreement signed by Courtney Love to use Kurt Cobain’s likeness as a fully playable character in Guitar Hero® 5,” according to Pitchfork.

Certainly the idea of iconic Nirvana frontman and unofficial leader of grunge, not to mention the figurehead for a generation of disenchanted teengers in the early 90s, is upsetting. Imagine the shaggy, plaid-wearing singer known for his gravelly, disenchanted moan belting ”Total Eclipse of the Heart” at the mercy of some audacious gamers or drunken frat-boys.

It’s enough to make you sick, or at least that’s what happened to Love. (Though it’s probably not that difficult.)

“I saw a piece of [Kurt's] avatar on the nightly news. I actually had to vomit,” she said via Twitter.

Former bandmates Dave Grohl and Kris Novoselic were less violently opposed to the avatar, and actually articulated their stance in an official statement.

Though they claim to have been aware of Cobain’s likeness appearing on Guitar Hero, they didn’t anticipate the control players would have over the avatar.

“This feature allows the character to be used with any kind of song the player wants. We urge Activision to do the right thing in “re-locking” Kurt’s character so that this won’t continue in the future,” they wrote in the statement found on Pitchfork. “It’s hard to watch an image of Kurt pantomiming other artists’ music alongside cartoon characters. Kurt Cobain wrote songs that hold a lot of meaning to people all over the world. We feel he deserves better.”

It remains to be seen if Love’s claims of legal actions will become a reality, but stay tuned to her Twitter where you will probably find all that information and what she f*****g had for dinner.

London & Co., a business management and accounting firm is suing Courtney Love for failing to give them profits from the sale of a portion of Nirvana’s publishing catalogue.

According to CTV.ca, the company claims that Love agreed orally to split five per cent of her earnings or those from her company when she sold a portion of Nirvana’s catalogue.

The company alleges that Love sold a portion of Nirvana’s publishing catalogue for $19.5 million but did not give them their share of the sale.

The company alleges that they should have received $975,000 from the sale.

Love became a widow in 1994 when her husband and Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain committed suicide. She owns most of the rights to both Cobain’s and Nirvana’s work.

According to Courtney Love, Kurt Cobain’s ashes have been stolen from her Hollywood home, leaving her suicidal.

The remains were stored in a pink bear-shaped handbag and hidden in a wardrobe, leaving Love to suspect a former friend of the theft.

“I can’t believe anyone would take Kurt’s ashes from me,” Love told News of the World. “I find it disgusting and right now I’m suicidal. If I don’t get them back I don’t know what I’ll do. They were all I had left of him.”

Much of Cobain’s ashes were scattered in a New York Buddhist temple and in the Wishkah river in Washington state.

Move over, rehab. Courtney Love has credited an unlikely man with keeping her clean: Orlando Bloom.

Love told “Access Hollywood” that Bloom introduced her to the Buddhist lifestyle that finally changed her ways.

“We chant every day,” Love said. “The 12-step programme demands that you have a spiritual practice that you do daily.

“I don’t mind talking about it because it has changed my entire life, changed everything – restructured my body, restructured my physicality. Truly I can, not all the time, but I can take joy at really shitty situations.”

True to her name, Love said she loves Bloom for his influence, and that he “doesn’t mind being outed as a Buddhist.”

Scottish actor James McAvoy is reportedly the first choice to play Kurt Cobain in a new biopic that will be produced by Courtney Love.

According to a source, “James is making a big impact in Hollywood at the moment. Hollywood bosses are convinced he is the perfect choice to play Kurt Cobain.”

The film, written by David Benioff (“The Kite Runner”) will be based on both Cobain’s personal unpublished journals and the biography “Heavier Than Heaven.”

McAvoy will next be seen in the Ian McEwan adaptation “Atonement” with Keira Knightley. He broke out as Mr. Tumnus in “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and garnered critical acclaim in the Oscar nominated “Last King of Scotland.”

Ex-Hole front-woman Courtney Love has had two probation sentences terminated early, more than a year before the longer one was set to expire.

Reuters reports that Superior Court Judge Rand Rubin let Love off early because she’d successfully completed a substance abuse program.

The judge dismissed Love’s two drug charges and one assault charge. The probation period for the drug charges was set to end next month, while the period for the assault charges wouldn’t have ended until 2008.

“I’m so happy and so excited. I’m relieved,” the singer told Us Weekly magazine. “I just want to put all this stuff behind me. It’s so last year.”

The drug charges were for being under the influence of cocaine and illegal possession of prescription medication, while the assault charge came over an altercation between Love and fellow musician Kristin King.

Courtney Love is romantically pursuing a British rock star.

The 42-year-old singer, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has set her sights on Towers of London singer Donny Tourette, 17 years her junior. Courtney, who is in the UK promoting her autobiography ‘Dirty Blonde’, has invited Donny and his bandmates to an intimate sleepover.

A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: Donny thinks partying with Courtney will make him look uber-cool.”

The wild rock chick has invited a handful of British stars to join her at the private members club Milk and Honey for a slumber party.

She is hoping to get to know Donny better at the sleepover, much to the displeasure of his on/off lover.

Donny used to date Sir Bob Geldof’s daughter Peaches and she is said to be raging with jealousy over Courtney’s plan to seduce Donny.

The source added: “Peaches is livid over the news that Courtney has her sights set on Donny. She also can’t believe she hasn’t been invited to the slumber party.”

Courtney recently admitted her love life is so depressing she was considering becoming a lesbian.

She said: “I don’t have a boyfriend. This is the longest time I’ve gone without one. I love to be in love.”

Courtney Love says it was because of Mel Gibson she was able to stay sober.

The Associated Press reports that the queen of grunge, who has been sober for 15 months, claims the Gibson kept coming to a hotel room where she was doing drugs one night.

“Mel kept coming to the door with this cheesy grin going, ‘Hi!’ I just kept looking at him going I can’t cuss um, `Blank off!’ … I know him and he’s a nice guy. It didn’t matter who it was. It could have been Jesus. I didn’t care,” Love told “Good Morning America” on Tuesday.

She says that Gibson took the other partygoers out for a burger, while Warren Boyd, and addiction counselor spoke with her about getting treatment.

She also told the morning show that her daughter, Frances Bean, only saw her high “once or twice” and that she is doing “fantastic.”

A preview of Courtney Love’s forthcoming book includes poetry, journal entries, never-before-seen photos, and new glimpses into her life with late husband Kurt Cobain.

The four-page excerpt from “Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love” showed the “impromptu memoir” to contain a variety of childhood records, personal notes and pages straight from Love’s diary, according to MTV. Through one such entry, Love reminisces about her relationship with Cobain shortly after his suicide.

“Exactly one month ago today was the last time I made love with my husband,” she writes in an entry dated April 17, 2004. “I cooked him dinner. We spent four hours in the playroom with Frances. We saw ‘Schindler’s List.’ It made us frightened for life and we saw the value of life. Our convictions we defined until 4 a.m. and we fell asleep in each other’s arms and woke up that way in the morning.”

“Here is a unique visual look into a world that is never captured,” said Love’s literary agent, David Vigliano. “It’s a one-of-a-kind memoir of an extraordinary life lived by a unique artist.”

The book, which was researched and edited by Ava Stander, is slated for release in November.

Courtney Love has been ordered back to court after allegedly violating her probation by taking controlled substances.

Love, 41, was accused Wednesday of violating her probation from an assault case by taking narcotics. Prosecutors would not specify which kind.

This comes after Love failed a drug test while hospitalized in July after fainting during a party at Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel.

Los Angelos Superior Court Judge Rand S. Rubin issued a bench warrant for Love’s arrest, but held it pending the singer?s mandatory appearance in court August 19.

“I’m certainly not happy with what’s going on,” Rubin said. He has ordered a report from Love’s drug counsellor.

Love maintained her sobriety at a roast for Pamela Anderson this week.

“I’m clean and sober for over a year and no one seems to care,” Love said on the event’s red carpet. “They’re like, ‘Oh, her dramatic weight gain.’ So, stop making fun of me!”

Love was not at yesterday’s hearing.
