I’d like to think that as the years go by, we get better and better looking. We always evolve from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan.

Just look at these before and after pictures of some of the hottest stars in Hollywood. They used to have bushy eyebrows, but now they have neatly threaded brows. They used to have frizzy hair, but now they have lucious long locks. They used to have a crooked nose, but now it’s thin and even due to many surgical procedures.

Courtney Cox and David Arquette Sell Sitcoms

Most divorced couples stay far, far away from each other. Courtney Cox and her ex, David Arquette are doing the complete opposite.

The couple recently separated after 11 years of marriage when rumours of David’s infidelity made headlines. The two have a daughter, Coco, who is now 7. To prove to Coco and everyone else they can still be model parents, they managed to stay friendly and respectful.

David is currently a contestant on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and Courtney has been seen in the audience cheering him on. Cute! I can’t list that many broken-up couples that can still manage to be in the same room together, let alone go on to produce comedy shows.

The pair have sold a sitcom to NBC, according to the Hollywood Reporter. It’s called Ten Years and much like their own lives, it’s the telling of a modern couple going through marital problems. But the work doesn’t stop there!

They’re also in talks to sell another sitcom, Skinny Girl, to ABC. This show follows the life of a former fat girl who’s trying to maintain her weight while working at a greasy diner. It doesn’t sound as interesting or intelligent than Ten Years but if the two manage to sell both sitcoms to both networks, we can expect them to stay side by side for a long time. Maybe even rekindle lost love, later down the road. It’s all about staying together for the kids, right?

Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette Most Likely Back for More ‘Screams’

Wes Craven recently spoke to MTV and suggested that Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette will all star in another ‘Scream’ movie.

The horror movie director said at least two more films are planned for the franchise following the recent release of ‘Scream 4,’ which was a huge hit among fans and critics alike, and that the “core characters” played by Campbell, Cox and Arquette will most likely appear in future installments.

“I imagine the core characters will continue. I suspect they’ll be with us until the end, because they just are the heart and soul of the movie and especially since we tend to kill off most of the other people,” the horror filmmaker said. And we love him for it. Who doesn’t love a good death?

“They’ll be with us. There will be some continuation of the drama of Sidney Prescott’s family and the ghosts that haunt it.”

I’m so happy by this news. Not only am I happy that they’ve successfully rebooted this franchise, but I am happy that they are staying true to the originals while adding fun, modern twists. I loved ‘Scream 4,’ so I can only imagine the amazingness that will come in future sequels. Fun, screams, blood, and more screams – what more can one ask for?

Movie Review: Scream 4, SO META

After fifteen years, two sequels, and the Stab mise-en-abime franchise-within-a franchise, Ghostface has finally made his grand return to the screen, and there is no guessing what his favorite scary movie is.

Scream 4 is a half-shallow stab at a hyperrealist, postmodern slasher film. Though it’s clear that the film is just “too meta” for words, it is overly reliant on its genre clichés that were already too heavily ensconced throughout the franchise.

The naïve victim for eternity, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) returns to the small American town of Woodsboro on the 15^th anniversary of the first murders to promote her new novel, which is ironically about overcoming victimization. Of course, once news hits the town of her arrival, so too does a new string of gruesome murders, which closely mimics the pattern of the initial killing spree. SO META right?

Retired journalist Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) is quick to jump on the story despite the stern warnings of her wimpy husband Dewey (David Arquette), who is now the sheriff of Woodsboro. Gale teams up with the young cinephiles of the local high school cinema club in an attempt to dismantle the “rules” of the new Ghostface. Gale and the cinema society still cannot outsmart Ghostface even when utilizing advanced technology such as personal headset cameras and video blogs. Undoubtedly the peeping Tom tactics are reversed and the camera is turned on Gale and the students. Yes, Gale, killers are also up to date with modern technology.

Like Scream 3, the backbone of the film is a set of complex rules, however in this case the rules are cleverly subverted as a way to return full cycle to the first set of murders. The murder scheme is familiar as victims run UP the stairs, into basements, empty parking garages, drunken parties, and basically straight into the killers knife.

The same assortment of precocious yet misinformed teenagers are played by the popular young Hollywood stars, Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, and Rory Culkin, who are all surprisingly good. The teens are far more exciting to watch than the still idiotic survivors of the previous attacks, Dewey, Sidney, and Gale.

The tropes and ploys are mostly for comic effect, and you will laugh probably more than you will cringe. The gore is far from the torture porn variety save for a prompt glimpse of a bloody intestine, and a final scene that can only be described as excessive.

The film is fast paced and the ending will be surprising for some, yet predictable for others who are keen on deconstructing the rules of the slasher genre within the frame of the film. Don’t be fooled, the self-reflexivity is tiresome and overdone. Wes Craven’s mark is visible, but it seems he too is getting tired of trying to play the Derrida of horror films.

However, the film is saved by its cameos, featuring Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell, and the starring role of Roberts who outshines her days of starring on “Unfabulous” and replaces them with an unforgettable performance.

Courtney Cox Walking With a Cane

Courtney Cox is the star of a show called Cougartown, so those who speculated the cane the actress was spotted walking with earlier today and yesterday was part of a storyline, clearly don’t know what a “cougar” is. Google it.

Anyway, Courtney was seen limping around for real yesterday due to minor knee surgery, Perez Hilton is reporting.

The Friends superstar is not going to miss any work or filming time. Apparently the tough demeanour of Monica was no result of good acting.

David Arquette is Overindulgent on Howard Stern Show

Apparently, recently single(ish), David Arquette spilled a little bit too much information about his split from Courtney Cox on the Howard Stern Show according to PerezHilton.com. David even apologized for his word vomit on his twitter account.

“…I shared too much…it’s alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled…”

Poor David was reportedly suffering from a serious lack of sex. David announced that the couple didn’t have sex for a whopping four months. Well, Mr. Holmes, this sounds like a case of celibacy!

David has not taken his time in moving on. He has a new girlfriend now, Jasmine Waltz, an aspiring actress. It’s funny because Waltz happens to have the same coloring and features as David’s ex, Cox. At least he has a type? Hopefully Waltz is a nymphomaniac who can fulfill David’s budding sexual appetite. She also evidently loves weed. PerezHilton.com reports that in 2000 Waltz was arrested for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana in Orange County, Florida.

So she’s a freak in the sack who loves getting high, what could be better?

Courtney Cox Offered $1 Million to Promote Cougarlife.com

Although freshly separated, Courtney Cox is already getting offers to be the face of the cougar lifestyle. Cougarlife.com has offered the actress $1 Million to be the spokesperson for the dating website.

Cougarlife is a niche dating website which matches older women with younger men. Cougarlife believes Cox would make the perfect spokesperson for the website.

According to TMZ, as part of the deal, Cox would agree voice 12 radio ads, appear in 4 TV ads, and make at least 30 public appearances for the CL brand.

Cox has yet to comment on the offer.

Production Resumes In Cougar Town

After rumors that the ABC show, Cougar Town, was shutting down production indefinitely, it seems as though Courtney Cox is ready to start filming again after a mere one-day hiatus.

The television segment, mainly about older women sleeping with younger men, stopped filming last week so that Cox could attend to a “family matter.” She plays a divorced 40-year-old mother that is figuring out the rules of dating once again.The statement said that production would not resume until Cox had dealt and finished off her family issues. Married to David Arquette, with a five-year-old daughter Coco, the nature of the matter was not disclosed. According to people.com, production resumes November 30, after a Thanksgiving holiday week-long break.

According to people.com, Cox’s reps have confirmed that the actress and her family are fine and that she will be resuming her normal work schedule following the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday.

Courtney Cox says her best friend and former Friends co-star may show up on her upcoming show, Cougar Town, reports Perez Hilton.

“You know, she’s a good friend and I know she loves the show,” said Cox at a press conference. “I’m not going to say she is going to do it because I don’t know. But if Bill Lawrence writes her a character, I’m sure she’ll be glad to do it.”

Cougar Town premieres this fall on ABC and follows Cox’s character, a recent divorcee and mom to a teenage son, as she re-enters the world of dating.

New Cox Joins Scrubs Cast

Looks like J.D. and the rest of the Scrubs gang will be making a new friend.

Courteney Cox, of Friends fame, will be joining the Scrubs cast for a three-episode arc during its upcoming eighth season.

Cox will “ruffle feathers” as Sacred Heart’s new chief of medicine–perhaps by butting heads with the other Dr. Cox, played by John C. McGinley.

This will mark Cox’s return to TV comedy. Cox became a household name for playing Monica on NBC’s hit sitcom Friends. Most recently, the 44-year-old actress played a tabloid editor on the FX drama Dirt, which was canceled after two seasons.

Scrubs ended its seventh season on NBC in May, but will be returning for an eighth on ABC this fall.

Courtney Cox’s show “Dirt” is getting buried, reports TV Guide.

“It just got cancelled,” she told the crowd at a recent benefit.

Though the show was popular in its first season, the second season was cut short by the writer’s strike, and FX has not picked it up for a third.

The former “Friends” star seemed optimistic about the future with her husband and partner, David Arquette. “We’re developing all kinds of stuff right now,” she said. “We’ll producing more stuff together, for sure.”

COURTENEY COX and her husband DAVID ARQUETTE have sold their Malibu, California mansion for close to their $33.5 million (£17.5 million) asking price.

The couple, who paid $10.2 million (£5.1 million) for the luxury property six years ago (01), has sold it to the owners of baseball team L.A. Dodgers, Frank and Jamie McCourt.

Former Friends star Cox has a passion for interior design and house renovation, and in March (07) paid almost $20 million (£10 million) for a wreck of a property overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

However, the actress jumped at the chance to buy the cliff-top estate because it comes with stunning views and total privacy. (GES/LAT/SH)

The Arquettes Have Marriage Counselling

Courtney Cox-Arquette and her husband, David Arquette, have has couple’s therapy, E! Online reports.

Cox-Arquette told Life magazine that the therapy helped the couple through a difficult marital time recently.

“We were just in Sardinia for a vacation. Sure, it was wine central, so we were having a couple of glasses of wine, and we got into these fights two nights in a row over stupid stuff. But I could see how relationships break up if you don’t go, ‘What are we doing?!’ So we went to a therapist and he broke it down for us,” the actress told the magazine.

She says she got the idea to go to a therapist from her friend, actress Laura Dern.

“(She) said, ‘Okay, this is going to be a big year for you; here’s a list of things you need to do.’ One of them was to write down all the things I liked about myself. She saw that I was being too frenetic–that I wasn’t enjoying life as I should,” Cox-Arquette says.

Cox-Arquette To Try To Conceive Again

Even though it drives her “crazy with hormones,” Courtney Cox-Arquette is planning to undergo in vitro fertilization in hopes of conceiving a second child, Hollywood.com reports.

Cox-Arquette, and her husband David Arquette, have one other child, Coco, who is two-years-old. Cox-Arquette also had trouble trying to conceive Coco, but wants to try to have another one so her daughter has a sibling.

“I’m not really ready right this second, but I’ll probably do it one more time,” Cox-Arquette says.

The actress has already begun preliminary blood work to begin the process and has a plan to adopt a second child if the two are unable to conceive.
