Finn starts college and Rachel auditions for Funny Girl as the New Directions try to recover from the shooting.
Here’s what you missed on last night’s episode, “Sweet Dreams”:
Post Traumatic Stress
Regionals are right around the corner, but the glee kids are still struggling in the aftermath of the shooting at McKinley. Sam invents a twin, Tina rocks the latest punk fashions, and Unique takes birth control pills. Glee club is usually a place where they can sort out their problems, but Will was fed up and snapped at the kids during rehearsals. It’s understandable that everyone was lost, but they needed their teacher to help get them through! Get it together, Will!
Barbara/Rachel/Fanny
In the dictionary of Rachel Berry, the word “dream” has a picture of Fanny Bryce beside it, and she landed an audition for the part. She struggles at first with her song choice, but after some awesome advice from Finn and guidance from Shelby (she’s back as a “broadway daycare” teacher), Rachel nailed it with a rendition of the song that started it all: “Don’t Stop Believing.” Now if she would just get back together with Finn, then my dreams could come true too.
Marley’s New Material
Glee star Cory Monteith’s demons are coming back to haunt him. Multiple outlets are reporting that the 30-year-old Canadian actor has recently checked into rehab.
Monteith’s spokesperson told People Magazine that the star “has voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction. He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery.”
The Glee star has been open about his past substance abuse, revealing in a 2011 interview with Parade Magazine that he was admitted into a rehabilitation facility at 19. He told the magazine his drug uses consisted of “anything and everything as much as possible, I had a serious problem.”
Monteith is currently dating his Glee co-star Lea Michele.
While Rachel struggles to come to terms with Brody’s secret, the McKinley kids indulged in their favourite guilty pleasures.
Here’s what you missed on last night’s episode, “Guilty Pleasures”
Guilty Pleasures
Mr. Schuester is out sick and instead of cancelling Glee, Blaine and Sam decided to take over and gave the group an assignment for the week. Inspired by Sam’s macaroni art (he does a mean Emma Stone), they decide everyone should sing a song by one of their guilty pleasure artists. Bring on the Wham!, Barry Manilow and Phil Collins!
He’s Got a Crush on You
Blaine may have thought his crush on Sam was a secret, but nobody else did. Sam spent the whole week trying to get Blaine to admit he was his guilty pleasure, but when all Blaine could come up with was Phil Collins, he finally admitted that he knew. It is really amazing that he doesn’t have a problem with Blaine’s feelings – although I’m sure with his looks he’s used to the attention.
Bitch Problems
The Glee club has 99 problems and they’re all Kitty (in this episode, anyways). She was admittedly the most hated girl in school, so she appeared on Fondue for Two to clear her rap. And when she revealed her biggest guilty pleasure was the Spice Girls, it was hard for everyone to hate on her. Let’s face it; the Spice Girls are the solution to every problem, ever.
Team Breezy
Nina Dobrev
What she’s wearing: The Vampire Diaries star was a stunner in this hot pink Elie Saab gown at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Why we love it: It was so refreshing to see such a bright and bold colour on the red carpet, which is why Dobrev stood out from many of the other stars that night. This sleek gown shows off her killer figure and conveys elegance being a crewneck floor length dress. She cinches the waist with a matching pink leather belt The cutouts keep the dress modern and interesting but doesn’t take away from the overall refined look that Dobrev is sporting.
I can’t even handle how good she looks in that dress!
Takeaway: The colour of your dress can be a very important choice to make– especially on the red carpet. Never box yourself in when it comes to colours as you would be limiting a lot of dress options for yourself. Just because you may not like a certain colour doesn’t mean that colour will look bad on you. In fact you might look stunning!
Cory Monteith
What he’s wearing: Monteith was very dapper in this light grey Calvin Klein tux at the 2013 SAG Awards, where he was nominated alongside his Glee cast-mates.
Why we love it: This was also another look that stood out on the red carpet for its bold colour choice. The light grey tux was hard to miss in a sea of black suits and was a welcome change of pace for men’s red carpet fashions. Not only was it in a great colour but the black contrast lapels are on trend and gave the suit its wow factor. Plus there are a neat black piping detail alongside his trousers which helps elongates the already tall Canadian actor.
Unfortunately we didn’t see Cory do a dance in his Calvin Klein suit.
Takeaway: When looking for a suit always try to get it tailored so it fits your body like a glove. With Monteith already being a tall guy it’s important that his suits works well with his taller build and longer proportions. Same goes for guys on the shorter side. The cut and the fit of the suit need to be just right otherwise it would look very junior, as in a kid wearing a suit for the first time and feeling and looking uncomfortable in his growing and changing body.

I’m surprised that Cory Monteith doesn’t like dancing considering he’s regularly required to learn dance routines as Finn Hudson on Glee. Cory was on Conan O’Brien last night to promote the continuation of Glee, which comes back tonight.
He admitted that he doesn’t think he’s very good at busting a move so when he goes to clubs he does what he calls “tiny dancing,” which has nothing to do with Elton John. The dance includes a subtle Roxbury head nod and a couple shoulder shrugs. Judging from his moves in the above gif, I don’t blame him for holding back!

Since landing the role of Finn on the hit show Glee, everyone wants a piece of Cory Monteith, even football players.
CTV explains the Chairman of the Safeway Grey Cup Festival Parade has appointed Cory as the Grand Marshall taking place around the end of November in his home province of British Columbia.
What exactly is a Grand Marshall, you ask? Well, we don’t really know! We do know it’s the highest honorary postion at a parade. Maybe Cory will be donning a football uniform while holding a baton?
Cory released a statement saying: “I love any excuse to come home and this is a thrilling one.”
On one hand, we have the cute, country-singing, innocent Taylor Swift. On the other, we have a pop-singing, TV star, gleek Chord Overstreet. Match made in heaven? I think so.
The two stars were spotted hanging out at an L.A Kings hockey game at the Staples Center last night, E! Online reports with pictures.
Overstreet, 22, seems a perfect match for Swift, 21. They are in the same age range, both teen sensations, blonde, musically talented, and good looking. This coupling is much better than when Swift was canoodling with Jake Gyllenhaal or John Mayer (barf). At least they are in the same age range and could create beautiful babies. I’m pretty sure babies with John Mayer would be born saying sarcastic, douchey things.
Perhaps the meeting wasn’t just romantic, though. Maybe the two were discussing a glee collaboration? Swift’s country anthems about boys and love and boys seems perfect for the tween-teen hit show. Or maybe Swift was warming up to Overstreet so she could get closer to Cory Monteith, whom she was spotted having dinner with earlier this month.
The reasons for their meeting is a mystery, but what I do know, is that I approve. Although I am not a fan of Swift’s music, nor a fan of the show Glee (it has gone downhill), these two together just feels right. Two blondies who sing? Doesn’t get any better than that.
Girls everywhere will be happy to know that one Jonas brother is back on the market. Although Joe Jonas is still going strong with 17-year-old singer Demi Lovato, and with Kevin being happily married, that leaves Nick standing alone, People.com reports.
The pop star split with on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez about three weeks ago. The couple never publicly confirmed they were back together, but a source says, “They were an item, but they are no longer together.” According to the source, the Disney Channel stars, both 17, broke up the way more celeb couples do; due to work keeping them apart. Gomez is scheduled to be in Europe this summer filming a movie, while Jonas is touring with his brothers.
Although they are officially not together, “it’s evident to everyone that they will always have a super strong connection,” says the source.
Is the sweet Taylor Swift juggling two many men for her own good? People.com reports that Swift had had a flirty bowling alley outing as well as a lunch with her handsome ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner.
On Tuesday the 20-year-old was being quite flirtatious with Glee star Cory Monteith,27, on a group date, which also included her best bud Selena Gomez at Studio City bowling alley. An eyewitness says that her and Monteith had “great chemistry.”
“While everyone in the group seemed to get along great and had fun, Taylor received a lot of attention from Cory,” the source says. “Several times while they chatted, Cory pulled Taylor close to him and gave her a big, loving hug. Taylor seemed to love the attention and was beaming.”
For those who secretly (and not-so-secretly) delight in the newest FOX series, Glee, they may be disappointed that the onscreen relationships have not been transferred to reality.
Dispelling rumors that Cory Monteith, who plays Finn in the musical television show, and Lea Michele (Rachel) are dating in real life, he spoke out with “we’re great friends.” According to people.com, Monteith states that “we’ve become really closer over the show, but we’re just friends. We’re not dating.”
Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson in Fox’s musical series, Glee, will be presenting at this year’s Gemini Awards Nov. 14 in Monteith’s hometown of Calgary.
Also presenting awards to honour the best in Canadian television will be Melrose Place star Jessica Lucas, Flashpoint‘s Hugh Dillon, Erin Karpluck of Being Erica and The Hour host George Stroumboulopoulos. Comedian Ron James will host.
