A person has been killed and several injured as a result of a massive stage collapse in Toronto just an hour before Radiohead’s sold-out show in Downsview Park.
While no band members were believed to be on the stage at the time, concert crew were working in the area at the time.
As a result of the incident, Radiohead cancelled their performance.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Radiohead show at Downsview Park tonight has been cancelled,” the band said on Twitter. “Fans are advised not to make their way to the venue.”
This is truly an unfortunate situation. My thoughts go out to anyone affected by the incident.

Always the one to pull a shocking stunt, Lady Gaga has done it again.
While performing on her Born This Way ball tour in Bangkok, the eccentric singer has upset an official from Thailand’s Culture Ministry after using the country’s national flag during a performance last month.
During her song “Heavy Metal Lover”, Gaga transformed into the motorcycle that appears on the cover of her “Born This Way” album.
And wearing next to nothing, the singer tied Thailand’s flag to the back of the human motorbike and rode around the stage.
In an interview with the Associated Press, the official called Gaga’s usage of the nation’s flag “not appropriate and hurt the feelings of the Thai people.”
While we’ve seen Gaga do things a lot crazier (*cough meat dress, blue armpit hair), it would definitely be useful for her to be aware of the cultural taboos of other countries before pulling any stunts.

Reason #105838 (I just made that up) why Lady Gaga is badass: after getting a concussion at a recent concert she continued performing for her fans just because she loves them that much. The next day she tweeted this photo of her shiner with the comment: Emerging from hours of sleep. Still remains if I should go outside, with this clonker I may be questionable styling.”
Oh, and just because Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber performed while concussed, that doesn’t mean it’s okay. Seriously. Go to a doctor. We’re not all superhuman. [Source]

It seems that performing is turning into a dangerous feat nowadays. Just last week, Justin Bieber suffered a concussion after running into a glass wall during a concert in Paris. This weekend, a dancer accidentally hit Lady Gaga on the head with pole during “Judas” in Auckland, New Zealand on Sunday. The accident resulted in a concussion for the singer.
Of course, we all know how hard Lady Gaga works. Even Elton John confessed that he worries for the singer whose busy schedule leaves little room for rest. So, it’s no surprise here that Gaga opted to endure her injury and continue on with the show, performing another 16 songs.
Gaga’s make-up artist later tweeted, “Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay. She wants u to know she loves u. I’m taking care of her.cant believe she finished the show.”
Check out how she follows the dancer with a machine gun after the incident below:

Looks like Katy wasn’t just in London to rekindle her romance with Florence + the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd.
On Thursday night, she showed up to a special screening of her film ‘Katy Perry: Part of Me’ in London to surprise many of her fans by serving some popcorn and introducing her film.
“Hi, is it alright that I’m here?” she asked as she appeared on stage. “We’re going to watch my movie.”
Taking a seat among her fans, she took some photos and even fulfilled a fan’s wish when he asked for a hug!
What a nice thing for Katy to do! Dressed in a cute, casual dress, she seemed modest and looked like she had a blast with her fans.
I would say that she’s definitely living the teenage dream!

Here’s how to get a personal acknowledgement from One Direction’s Harry Styles. This girl was at a concert in Mexico and was getting CRUSHED by super fans who all wanted to get as close as humanly possible to the guys.
Harry’s super keen hero senses kicked in and he motioned to the girls to chill out, lest she gets hurt. LISTEN TO HARRY PEOPLE. He eventually knelt down, got the attention of a nearby security guard and told him to help her out. Niall looked at him after and said: ”Good job, mate.”
So basically, he did her a total solid, like a badass stepchild of Mick Jagger and Chuck Norris. We’re wondering if Harry is actually a singer or some type of Michael Bay action hero with keen observation skills.
Warning: we do not endorse getting the attention of 1D by getting crushed. Other ways to get their attention here.

Ouch! After colliding with a glass door that resulted in a concussion, Justin Bieber is admitting that he is experiencing some painful side-effects.
Releasing a video on Viddy.com, the singer spoke of the injuries he has on the right side of his face.
“I got into a fight with a glass window,” he said. ”I can’t move my eyebrow. It’s the weirdest thing — some weird stuff going on.”
The concussion took place in Paris after a concert. Luckily, it only lasted 15 seconds.
Hope he feels better! It wouldn’t be nice to have a stiff eyebrow.

Madonna used questionable imagery during her concert in Israel yesterday, including images of Adolf Hitler and swastikas. The images went up during a video interlude at one of her concerts.
One of the images was of Madonna with a swastika on her forehead and a moustache similar to Hitler’s. In other scenes, there were visuals of the Iron Cross, which was a military decoration of The Third Reich.
Granted, the Nazi images were among other scenes of violence, war and political protests, but it sparked mega controversy and many people said they shouldn’t have been used at all.
Considering the context, do you think the images should have been used?

Justin Bieber’s promotional tour for Believe has been causing injuries EVERYWHERE. The other day when he was in Oslo 49 teens were injured in a chaotic mob that was chasing after the teen star.
This time though, JB was the one to suffer the injury. Yesterday in Paris, he was knocked out cold after running into a wall of glass during a concert. Luckily it happened backstage between two songs (as opposed to onstage). Although he was disoriented, he returned to his fans and finished the set.
After the concert, he returned to his dressing room and passed out cold for 15 seconds. Turns out, he had a concussion. Don’t worry though! He’s okay.
This is the THIRD incident the guy has had with glass!! In 2010 he walked into a revolving door and a glass panel at a radio station in two separate incidents. Justin told TMZ: “I guess me and glass windows just don’t work.”
He also tweeted a photo of a glass house and commented: “yeah. so this will never be my house. lol.”

Seeing that Beyonce gave birth only about five months ago, she sure got back into shape really quickly!
In a video from her concert at the Revel casino and resort (the first of four nights she’s performing at the venue), the glamourous singer delivered amazing performances while singing hits like “Halo” and “Single Ladies” while wearing stunning, form-fitting dresses.
Bey is truly a woman I admire!
And it appears that I’m not the only one who’s amazed by the singer. Jay-Z, showing what a supportive husband he is, praised his wife on Twitter.

I think I’m liking this bromance.
With Academy-award nominated actor Gary Oldman directing Jack White’s American Express UNSTAGED performance, that itself sounds epic and legendary enough.
But after watching the two get into a little play fight in this video, I think I’m sold on their bromance. White even accidentally makes Gary bleed :O!!! Luckily enough, he’s is forgiving.
I wish they would collaborate some more already! Perhaps they can do a song together?
We all know Jack can sing, but so can Gary!
Watch them play fight:

A group of Christian South Koreans acted in solidarity yesterday begging the gods to strike down one Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga.
The group prayed that her April 27th concert in Seoul be cancelled because “Just Dance” is corrupting the youth with it’s blasphemous lyrics and sexual influence. According to AFP they wanted to prevent the youth from being ”infected with homosexuality and pornography.”
People under the age of 18 have already been banned from the concert, though Gaga tried to appeal to the government on Twitter about the age restriction. She’s not the first either — Marilyn Manson, Jay-Z and 50 Cent have had similar restrictions on their concerts.
Previously the age restriction was 12, but the Korea Media Rating Board decided that wasn’t enough. We’ll just have to wait until April 27 to see whether cosmic intervention does indeed happen. [Source]

I don’t know how I would feel about getting a cake in the face at a Steve Aoki concert. On one hand I’d be like: “Yes, he has chosen me! Out of all the people in the audience I am the lucky person Steve chose to throw a cake at.” But after the moment of shock and gratitude, I’d have to deal with the realization that I now have icing mushed into my hair and cake batter all over my clothes, and there’s no way to clean it off.
Luckily, this girl is a good sport about it and is so intense she hardly wipes the cake out of her eyes.
Most people tweet at their favorite bands hoping they’ll get a response but acknowledge the reality that they probably won’t. The Fray is an exception. They keep a close watch on the internet and like connecting with their fans. In this casual interview the guys told us about a special digital connection they made over a game of pool. For the record, they’re REALLY good pool players and @jordans_life got his ass kicked.

Adam Lambert, the flamboyant American Idol alum, was rumoured to be joining Queen for a performance at the Sonisphere Fest in July followed by a string of tour dates.
As we reported yesterday, Lambert gloated to the Daily Mail: ”The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f***ing great songs,” he allegedly said. “It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”
Lambert then took to his Twitter to dismiss the rumours on Friday evening:
“Oooh them clever reporters takin my quotes outta context…. I haven’t confirmed any guest appearances. I was talking about the EMA’S,” he tweeted, without directly referencing the report. “That being said, I’m truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions mr journalist!!
”
They had all performed together at the 2009 American Idol finals as well as a November gig at the MTV EMAs.
Lambert’s sophomore album Trespassing is due in March.
In order to preserve Amy Winehouse’s memory, Mitch Winehouse plans to hold a star filled concert every year in Amy’s honour. The concerts will be used to raise money for the Amy Winehouse foundation.
“We need to make sure the money keeps coming in,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
“We are definitely planning a memorial concert for this year. We are hoping to have one here and in America and we’ll do that every year and alternate doing it in LA and New York,” he said.
“I’d love to have Tony Bennett on the bill as he is a friend of the foundation and has donated $100,000 dollars which is incredible… We’d also love to have Lady Gaga there,” he added.
Redfoo summed up his Honduras concert perfectly when he tweeted, ”Epic concert tonight!!!! Everybody in Honduras, we set the place on fire!!!!” LMFAO’s concert got cut short last night when the venue caught on fire, and it’s believed this is no accident.
According to local news reports, the fire broke out at the Coliseo Nacional de Ingenieros … towards the end of the LMFAO concert. The group ended early after the stadium filled with smoke.
15 people were treated for smoke inhalation, and it is believed the fire was done on purpose. Redfoo later tweeted, “On a serious note. Hope everybody is safe from the fire tonight! love you Honduras!”
For a 19-year-old, Demi Lovato sure shows how strong she really is.
Take, for instance, the moment she accidentally ripped off some of her fake hair on stage. Ocean Up posted the video of the singer in Missouri. During “All Night Long”, the singer’s hands got caught in her long, wavey hair, causing her to pull out some extensions.
If you’re a dude and can’t imagine how painful it must be to rip off extentions sewn into your head, ask somebody to simply kick you in the balls. It’s kind of like that. Demi’s a real trooper for continuing on with the song, as if nothing happened. She may be crying on the inside, but fans just saw a happy, dancing girl on the outside.
Take a look at the video posted Below. Skip to the 48 second mark if you wan.
Taylor and her dance partner at the AMAs, Selena Gomez, reunite once again to perform on stage.
During a concert at Madison Square Garden last night, Selena joined her best friend Taylor to cover her song “Who Says?”.
Taylor’s Speak Now Tour is a massive success and because of that, she’s been able to have some amazing artists appear on stage with her, throughout several cities. From Justin Bieber to Jimmy Eat World to James Taylor, Taylor’s never a lonely girl when on stage.
Check out the video of Taylor and Selena rocking out to “Who Says” posted below.
When hitting up notable states on her North American tour, Taylor Swift has been covering songs from local artists. Rolling Stone posted all 35 cover songs on their website.
When she was in New Jersey, Taylor did a rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark”. You can watch the video below.
When in the Grand Rapids, the country star got her rap on by covering Eminem’s “Lose Yourself”. It’s a pretty cool cover, and the crowd certainly seemed to agree. Watch the video below.
At her L.A. show, special guests jumped on stage to help Taylor sing the cover songs. First, it was Justin Bieber and together they sang “Baby”. Watch the video posted below.
The next star to make a cameo at Taylor’s concert in L.A. was Nicki Minaj. She graced the stage to help Taylor out with her hit song, “Superbass”. It was the most fun performance out of all the covers. The two should definitely get together more often. Watch the video below.
