Jessica posted earlier on Twitter, “You guys are gonna LOVE this! I can’t wait!!!”
It’s natural that people compare Cody Simpson to Justin Bieber, but Cody explains that their styles are each individual and unique. That doesn’t mean, however, that the two singers aren’t planning on working together. Is 14 too young to be dating?
Kylie Jenner, the youngest of the Kardashian sisters, was spotted on a stroll with Australian super star Cody Simpson around the L.A. area this week.
Kylie and Cody, who are both 14, don’t appear too romantic in the photos we found on Zimbio, but they could just be trying to offset the paparazzi. Given both their stunning good looks (The Jenners and Simpsons have good genes!) and newfound popularity, they will inevitably be the next Justin and Selena.
A source tells Zimbio the two were recently at the Breaking Dawn movie premiere and “really hit it off”. It’s hard to imagine what kind of dates 14 year old could go on these days. Do they go to a knitting cafe and then go-karting after or do they actually throw wild sleepovers when their parents are away in the Hamptons?
If they’re hooking up at 14, my money’s on them breaking up by 15. Young love is like a Kim Kardashian nuptial. It doesn’t last.
Australian pop star Cody Simpson is signed to Justin Bieber’s label and is already breaking into the North American market.
But, judging from the above photo, tweeted by Cody himself the other day, can you believe he’s only 14? Dude hasn’t even gone to prom yet and he’s already looking like Popeye.
Am I going to come back to work on Monday and have to report about his full grown beard? Kids these days are growing up fast. Remember when Miley Cyrus was just a tot with naturally blonde hair and a fresh, clear face? Now a days tween and teen pop stars are driving batmobiles and wearing 9 inch heels and 5 pounds of make up while the rest of us geezers are trying to hold onto our youth.
Why the need to grow up so fast, Cody Simpson?
Although Cody Simpson has become an international phenomenon, the Australian singer once was a victim of bullying. That’s why he has joined the anti-bullying movement Defeat the Label, along with Miley Cyrus and Paula Abdul.
“I’ve seen the severity of bullying, just being a regular kid coming from a regular school, it’s a bigger problem for kids my age than drugs and alcohol,” he told SMH.
“I was teased a little bit for choosing a career path that not many kids do, a lot of kids were doing other things like joining the rugby team but music was just something I loved.
“I just learned very early to not care what other people think, the music teacher at my old school used to let me into the music room when everyone else was running off to do other things as it was just something that I loved.”
Look whose laughing now bullies.
Scooter Braun did some amazing things managing Justin Bieber, and now he wants to try it again. Scooter has agreed to manage up and coming pop star Cody Simpson.
Cody, Scooter and Matt Graham (Scooter’s friend and partner) are taking on Cody as a client. Matt confirmed this through Twitter.
The question remains whether Justin might be getting a little jealous?
Cody Simpson was working on his new music video for “Not Just You” on Friday night in Los Angeles.
He tweeted, “heading to set on Venice Beach to film my new music video #NotJustYou. then downtown. can’t wait for you to see this. #art”
His album Coast to Coast is released this Tuesday. You can also check out our interview with Cody from earlier in the summer.
Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have teamed up with an anti bullying project called Defeat The Label. The organization is obviously very excited, and they said the following in a statement:
“We are honored to have the support of so many influential people, including Cody Simpson, Miley Cyrus, music industry legend Ken Kragen, and PR guru Ken Sunshine, to name a few, With their help, we have been able to share the social inclusion and anti-bullying message that we so strongly believe in here at Defeat The Label. We can’t wait to announce our ground-breaking new initiative at the concert on August 28th!”
Having Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson is a huge addition to their effort. We interviewed Cody earlier this year and thought he was a really cool guy.
Although Cody Simpson may be a pop superstar with tons of money and fame, he is still 14 years old. That means if he wants to buy a hat, he still needs his Dad’s permission. We saw this firsthand during our interview. We also spoke with Cody about what life is like as a 14 year old Australian superstar.
From a YouTube clip last April to the Ellen DeGenerous Show to co-headlining an North American Tour – and Greyson Chance is only 13-years-old.
Before you pin him off as another “Bieber”, check out the famous YouTube video that showcases Chance transformation of Gaga’s “Paparazzi” pop hooks into a heart-felt ballad as he accompanies himself on piano.
After a few weeks and over 30 million views, the video exploded and became one of the most watched on YouTube and in turn Greyson Chance became a sensation. Ellen DeGeneres received a letter from Greyson’s brother Tanner suggesting that she should watch the video. After two performances on her show, Ellen announced that she had signed Chance to her new label: eleveneleven. He has since signed a major-label deal with Geffen Records and Maverick Records.
“I think it’s an honour to be compared to Justin. I mean, he’s this big pop act,” says Chance. “But, my music is definitely more of a pop-rock sound.”
Chance is currently undergoing work on his debut album with a team of top-notch songwriters, including The Matrix (Jason Mraz, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne) and Danielle Brisebois (Natasha Bedingfeld, Kylie Monogue, Leona Lewis).
“The story or the concept is really about heartbreak,” Chance says of the new album’s theme. “Starts with going through a relationship, you’re so in love and you’re so happy. She breaks up with you, she breaks your heart. You hate her but you still love her. And in the end it turns into this dark story about heartbreak and how you deal with it and how painful it can really be.”
