Claudia Schiffer Says Models Today Are Unattractively Skinny

Stick-thin Claudia Schiffer says models today are too skinny to be attractive.

“It doesn’t really look good any more,” said the 36-year-old supermodel in an interview with Germany’s Bunte magazine.

“Fashion looks good on thin models, but when you look at today’s models you can not help but think there is something wrong. They are way too thin. It is only bones that stick out,” she added.

Despite being possibly underweight herself, Schiffer went on to say that she was big for a model when she started her career in 1988.

“I was one of the fattest when I started,” said Schiffer, who is reportedly 5′11 and 128 pounds.

“Ever since I started having children, I can eat whatever I want. I eat chocolate almost every day and drink whole milk so that I don’t lose any more (weight),” said the mother of two.

Schiffer also said she strives for a healthy weight: “When media started writing that I looked too thin and ill, I went to the doctor. He said I was healthy.”

Dog-gone it! Claudia Schiffer Faces Warnings About Her Dogs

Claudia Schiffer has received her second warning from law enforcement regarding her two German Shepherds.

Neighbours of the supermodel complained the two dogs were roaming free along a public path, without leashes. Authorities told Schiffer she had to leash her dogs, keep them off the path, or else she could face criminal charges for violating public safety laws.

A police spokesperson said the case is not a criminal one at this point.

Schiffer’s representation was unavailable for comment.

“The household has taken precautions to ensure public safety,” her rep told the press earlier this month.

Dogs Draw Complaints At Claudia Schiffer’s Mansion

Claudia Schiffer may have a reputation for being sweet, but her dogs? Not so much.

Locals taking walks near the supermodel’s country mansion near London have issued complaints that Schiffer’s dogs were intimidating.

Police said on Friday they would meet with the star to discuss the problem.

“A public footpath runs alongside the grounds, where locals walk dogs. We first received a complaint in December that one of the dogs had bitten another dog,” said a police spokeswoman in Suffolk county.

“More recently, a local parish council has received a number of complaints to say that dogs are still `running wild.’”

The 36-year-old model and her husband live in Coldham Hall, a 16th-century mansion near Bury St. Edmunds, a rural town northeast of London. Schiffer is believed to own an Irish wolfhound and a German shepherd.
