Christmas sweatz aren’t just for lonely men sitting at home watching infomercials or old people knitting a new faux collar. NAH, they’re for every mother fruit cake.
This year, Christmas sweatz are all about colour blocking. Do you have green sweatz? Does your friend have red? Good, now flip those sweatz around and you’ve got festive Christmas sweatz that are so sick you could get arrested!
This “Christmas Sweatz” parody was posted on YouTube today by Internetainers RhettandLink and it quickly started trending. The song is even available to purchase on iTunes. Are you wearing Christmas sweatz this year? It’s the most comfortable way to spend the holiday season… and most definitely, the most fashionable.

Jimmy Kimmel is clearly infatuated with Christmas. Recently, he conducted his annual Naughty or Nice segment in which he asks kids how they behaved all year. Kimmel is pretty much Santa Claus in my eyes. But not according to the kids in his street interviews.
In the video, Kimmel asks kids to explain the story of Christmas. Their retellings are a bit jumbled up, but what can you expect? They probably have one thing on their minds — the gift of giving and receiving.

These cheeky pranksters went to Brigham Young University with a little mistletoe experiment. They set up a fake survey asking mundane questions about students’ eggnog-drinking and tree-decorating habits around Christmas. Then they asked the students if they follow the tradition where you kiss someone under a sprig of mistletoe. Anyone who said yes or sometimes was put to the test immediately, when an accomplice lowered some mistletoe over the prankster and the student.
The results are hilarious. While most of the students laughed about it or were game, there were a couple who were genuinely offended — including one girl who slapped the prankster as hard as she could. Ouch! The video was uploaded on Stuart Edge‘s YouTube channel

By Evan Ross
While some cheerios relish holiday shopping and stringing garlic around their Douglas Fir trees, Christmas isn’t a merry time of year for everyone. In fact, according to the Evan Ross Institute of Science, Christmas comes second only to Valentines Day in the list of holidays that remind you how crushingly alone you are.
Music is a great way to replenish your spirits, whether it’s on at a Secret Santa mixer or a quiet Wednesday night. I know! Christmas songs can be super repetitive — sometimes repeating three times in an hour on the radio.
Here’s a list of pleasant Yuletide alternatives (and alternative covers) that won’t make you want to lose it on the person in front of you at Old Navy. (Disclaimer: you may still lose it, but it will be because of the hell of the holiday retail scene, rather than the music.)
“Donna and Blitzen” by Badly Drawn Boy
This is my favourite Christmas song ever. I first discovered it when I fell asleep during About A Boy during the credits. (Aside: is it just me or are Hugh Grant movies a recurring theme in this column?) The melody is infectious, and it heavily features sleigh bells, which is always a bonus. The lyrics are sweet without being cheesy, as they tell the story of two reindeer (magic, of course) who fall in love and take their first flight together. If it sounds familiar to you, that may be because it was featured in a Sears commercial few years ago, which totally did not make me tear up… nope, not at all.
Perfect for: Romantic skating/a cute Christmas shopping date.
“Christmas Day” by She & Him
What could be more perfect than Zooey Deschanel and Christmas music? Zooey is adorable (if you disagree, I will fight you) and this song is nearly as cute as she is. She & Him celebrate those of us, young and old, who will always be excited that a fat guy in a red suit is breaking into our house to give us presents. If you get up at 6 am every year just to tear into your gifts, this song is for you.
Perfect for: Opening presents while the log channel plays in the background.
“Sleigh Bells” — Karmin
There’s always that one Grinchy person who absolutely hates Christmas. You know the type; someone who frowns every time they see a caroler and makes the Burger Meister look cheerful (if you didn’t get that Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town reference than I don’t even want to know you). This song will definitely make them cheerier, and if it doesn’t, run in the other direction.
Perfect for: Pleasing the complete bummer in your life/rockin’ out.

Holiday movie marathon

If you’re in college or university, you’re probably finishing up your exams and final assignments. There’s nothing better than not worrying about school work anymore and being able to just flop on the couch to relax. Elf is definitely one of my favourite Christmas movies! Do you guys have an other suggestions? [monstrothewhale]
Time to decorate the tree

Nice to know my family decorated the tree without me this year. Not bitter at all… Anyway, are you the type of person to decorate a fake tree straight out of the box or be extra festive and find the perfect Douglas Fir? [snooowflake]
My Christmas wish came true

*SIGH* If only you could wish for a super cute, soul singing celeb for Christmas. I guess the next best thing is picking up one of their albums, or seeing your faves hanging out together! Siva from The Wanted and Ed Sheeran have played a few Jingle Ball shows together. It’s always nice to see fellow artists supporting each other. [thewantedblog]
Make your holidays stress-free

As we all know, Mean Girls is a classic teen movie, and I’m sure you can learn a few things from it. If you’re involved in any sort of talent show, make sure to have patience. No one wants to fight during the happiest time of the year, right? [pactressia]

If you have a dog, you’re aware of those “puppy eyes” they give you when they’re hungry. Even though we shouldn’t, we usually cave and give them a little piece of whatever we’re eating. Now, you can give them doggie Christmas cake! It’s all thanks to a man in Japan, Naohiko Nagatani, who created a dog-friendly cake. He’s the owner of an Italian restaurant in Japan and so far the cakes are selling well. They go for about $73 each, which may seem like a lot to spend on your dog, but the best part about these cakes, is humans can eat them too.
One Step for man, err, 68,345,943,536,743 steps back for women

In Bihar, India, they have banned women from using cellphones. I’m serious. The reason for the ban? Too many females are eloping and having extramarital affairs. And clearly, banning the use of cellphones is the only way to stop it. People are protesting this outrageous ban.
Millionaire takes his Christmas wish to a San Diego Billboard
Marc Paskin, a millionaire and reality TV personality, bought this billboard ad in San Diego. It speaks for itself. This is probably one of the most shallow things I’ve ever seen, but it’s kinda funny. If I had money I would make one too. All I want for Christmas is a Jamaican boyfriend, seriously.

Disclaimer: I’m a major Justin Bieber fangirl. My most recent Bieber-related purchases were his second perfume, Girlfriend, and his newest album that just went double platinum, Believe. I would buy every Justin Bieber product if I was rich enough, but sometimes I wonder how much more successful some mundane product is just because they slapped his face on it. That’s probably why there are tons of WTF products out there for Beliebers.
Why not gift one this Christmas?

When Mariah Carey says it’s Christmas…it’s exciting. But according to YouTuber alexnicolaou, it’s OUT OF THIS WORLD.
After Mariah Carey collaborated with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for a rendition of ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’, the vlogger filmed his reactions to the video. He was literally so excited that he had to run out of the room and jump with joy.
I have never seen someone act so excited before. God bless him.
Check out the original video here.
You’ve heard him sing some of your favourite holiday classics on his album Christmas, but now you can hear Canadian crooner Michael Buble like you’ve never heard him before. His new album There’s No Place Like Hum For The Holidays features the singer HUMMING all the Christmas classics, including “Let It Snow,” “Silent Night” and “Jingle Bells.”
The album also features Dave Matthews with Buble humming along to “The Little Drummer Boy.” If the album doesn’t get you in the holiday spirit, the ad certainly will. Buble skis, walks through a winter wonderland and sips hot cocoa in front of a high tech green screen.
You can purchase the album for the low cost of $25, except not really because it was all a spoof for Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night talk show. One thing is for sure. Buble has a wicked sense of humour.

No holiday is complete without someone wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, whether your aunt is legitimately wearing it because she thinks it’s funky or because your hipster friend Wheatgrass thinks it’s ironic. And when you really shop around, there’s an ugly holiday sweater for everyone!
Ellen premiered some of her favourite ugly Christmas sweaters on her talk show this morning and they were positively horrendous, but in the best way possible. The best thing is, they’re all REAL sweaters that you can purchase… we promise. Here are her favourites.

In Glee’s upcoming Christmas special “Glee Actually,” Sam and Brittany live their lives to the fullest before the much-heralded Mayan Apocalypse. Meanwhile Jake and Puck spend some quality sibling time together for Hanukkah.
As if this doesn’t make me excited enough, I just got a little taste of the music with their version of “Silent Night.” The slowed down track is sung by the now-graduated Santana, whose incredibly soulful voice makes the song even more moving. The track will be featured in the upcoming album Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album, Volume 3.

What do you want the Glee kids to get for Christmas this year? I personally hope Rachel gets a Broadway show, Blaine gets Kurt back and Britney gets a brain. I’ve heard rumours of Finn taking a special winter walk with Marley. How would you react?

Like every year that passes us, we saw some pretty strange products come out in 2012. Humans are all about invention and innovation — but sometimes our minds make up the weirdest things ever. And even more unfortunate is that those weird things end up beneath the Christmas tree only to send our relatives into shock and horror. While we might think these products are secretly awesome and bad ass, it might not be a great idea to give your sweet grandpa a chest-exposing tie. You read that right.
Here are the 10 worst Christmas gifts to give this year:
1. Underwear to go.
2. Jean-sandal hybrid
3. A hairy-chest tie
4. The “I don’t really like your singing” karaoke mic
5. The “Hug-Me” jacket

Backstage before the show, Jimmy Fallon, Mariah Carey and The Roots grabbed some instruments you’d find in an elementary school classroom and stopped by the Late Night music room to sing Mariah’s holiday classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
If you aren’t already in the holiday spirit, this video will make you feel like you just chugged a mug of warm cocoa by the fireplace while someone blows mini paper snowflakes by your head. Inviting an elementary school choir join in on the chorus gave their rendition even more heart and you can’t help loving their sparkly red attire.
Don’t forget to check out their version of “Call Me Maybe” with Carly Rae Jepsen. What song do you want to hear them cover next?

The Christmas season is upon us, which naturally means people are more trusting and thus susceptible to hilarious pranks. BaratsAndBereta created three holiday pranks to test out on different people in your life: Your kids, your significant other, and your colleagues.
All in all, these pranks will probably result in your child being emancipated, a proposal (or breakup) and a few hours off from work. What are some of your favourite holiday pranks?

DMX took time out of his busy schedule to spread some holiday merriment and sing “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” while at New York’s Power 105.1. The rapper banged out a beat to go with his unique rendition, which he had memorized.
If this is what his hypothetical Christmas album sounds like, we NEED to hear it.

The magical aroma of cinnamon is in the air and stories of shoppers fighting over 70 percent off blenders is in the news. It all means one thing: The holidays are upon us. That means the TV lineup of classic movies will probably (hopefully) fill your snowed-in Christmas evenings. And while there are A LOT of them out there, many are cheesy and WAY overplayed — seriously how many times can we sit through Arnold Schwarzenegger in Jingle all the Way?
Then there are those that make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside, or cause an eggnog spit-take from laughing our butts off, all while curling under a blanket. Here are my top 10 non-cheesy films to get you in the Holiday spirit.
Edward Scissorhands
Tim Burton gave us a different take on Christmas films with Edward Scissorhands. The movie tells the story of Edward, who was created by a scientist (played by the legendary Vincent Price). As a kid, this movie really freaked me out but it actually has a lot of heart and Johnny Depp is in it so what else do you need really?
I’ll be Home for Christmas
Jonathan Taylor Thomas plays Jake Wilkinson, a college student who has been avoiding his dad until he’s bribed with a Porche. His goal is to get home in time to earn it. The 1998 movie also stars Mrs. Timberlake, Jessica Biel.
Four Christmases
This movie is one of the funnier holiday films to come out recently. It stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn who play a couple that travel every year at Christmas to avoid their families. However, one fateful year their flight gets cancelled and they’re featured on the news. There are so many funny scenes in this movie you might actually dance with joy.

If Buddy from Deck The Halls really wanted to pull one over on his frigid neighbour Steve, he should have added dubstep music to his Christmas light display. As if the flashing lights on this house aren’t enough to make you seize up in joy, the dubstep music adds a whole other dimension of ear-pounding fun. I bet his neighbour’s LOVE him!
The house is in Meridian Idaho and is synchronized with dubstep and other Christmas songs. Skrillex fans should fast forward to the two minute mark. While I loved the “Gangnam Style” lights, these lights definitely win.
