Snoop Dogg and Other Celebrities to Appear on the Price is Right

It’s hard to believe The Price Is Right has been on the air for 40 years now. To celebrate the big achievement, the show will have its first celebrity week in January.

Perez Hilton explains that one celebrity will appear each episode to play for a charity of his or her choosing. These celebs include rapper Snoop Dogg, actress Jenny McCarthy, actor Neil Patrick Harris, rocker Chris Daughtry and supermodel Heidi Klum.

The special Price is Right week wont air on CBS until January 2 but executive producer Mike Richards isn’t afraid to spill the beans on how some stars excelled.

“Let’s just say Snoop knows more about the price of grocery items than you might think!” he says.

Here’s the rundown of episodes, as posted on Perez’s website.

Monday, January 2 — Snoop Dogg playing for Snoop Youth Football League

Tuesday, January 3 — Jenny McCarthy playing for Generation Rescue

Wednesday, January 4 — Neil Patrick Harris playing for The Noreen Fraser Foundation

Thursday, January 5 — Chris Daughtry playing for Alzheimer’s Association

Friday, January 6 — Heidi Klum playing for Unicef

I can’t wait to watch. It’s still not the same without the iconic Bob Barker but Drew Carey is holding his own. I’m more excited to see how Snoop’s episode pans out and whether or not Plinko is played.

When you think Daughtry understandably American Idol comes to mind, however there is more to the story. Daughtry is a band that actually makes music that people want to listen to, and more importantly music that people actually want to buy! That is no small accomplishment in this day in age. So we caught up with the boys to talk about music, life, G.I. Joe’s, but NOT American Idol.

Chris Daughtry to Become New Fuel Singer?

When Brett Scallions quit Fuel last year, the rock band was left without a singer.

When the members of Fuel saw Chris Daughtry perform one of their songs on American Idol this season, they saw an opportunity.

So they offered Daughtry a job to become their new frontman.

“Chris, if you are watching, we’ve talked about this before, and if you want to entertain it again we’ll take it and go,” the band’s bassist, Jeff Abercrombie, told Extra Thursday, right after Daughtry’s surprise exit from American Idol.

Although Daughtry is clearly a fan, having performed “Hemorrhage” on the show recently, he is not expected to join the band.

Because of his popularity, he would probably make more money launching a solo career when the show ends this month.

He told reporters after the show that he has not decided whether to accept Fuel’s offer or to release a solo album.
