You’d think The Wanted would be bombarded by so-called “screamy” fans to the point where they’d avoid going out at night. But apparently the guys still have time to party on weekends and after gigs. @Jordans_Life talked to them about where they go at night, crazy fans and their so-called “normal” life.

British bad boys The Wanted are known for not only their strong vocal pipes, musical talents and staggering good looks, they would pretty much do anything for their fans. The guys shower their “fanmily” with hugs, kisses, and weekly webisodes, resulting in excessive fan-girling.
Things got a little out of hand earlier this week when two members of TW Nathan Sykes and Tom Parker arrived at Glasgow airport. One of the girls must of got caught up in the commotion, ended up hitting her head on a brick wall and had a frightening seizure. Instead of the guys running off to catch their flight (considering they were in a rush and that would be an A-lister thing to do) they stayed back to help her!
Tom told The Sun, “It was as we pulled up at the airport that one of our fans collapsed on the floor. Nath stayed by her side while I called 999. It was pretty frightening, but anyone would have done the same.” We would hope so too. Nathan also seemed concerned, taking to his Twitter hours later , “Can someone please dm to let me know if the girl from the airport is ok?? Thanks x.”
Even though the girl got hurt, I guess having your idols care for you is much, much better. I bet she was glad they came!
In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, ScarJo gets a star on the Walk of Fame and Courtney Stodden releases a new single (ick).
HIT: The Wanted’s “Chasing the Sun” will be the title track in Ice Age 4
While we’re not diehards for Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, we do love The Wanted here at andPOP. The band’s single “Chasing the Sun” will be the title track for the new movie and the news started trending on Twitter on Thursday afternoon.
MISS: Glee’s Amber Riley collapses on Red Carpet
Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz and Amber Riley were on the red carpet for a screening of their Fox show Glee, and while giving interviews Riley collapsed. She wrote on Twitter: “Hey guys, I’m okay I got a little dizzy from all the photog flashes! You’d think I’s be used to it by now, still a red carpet amateur I guess. Gonna get checked out but I feel fine. Thank you for all the concern and well wishes,” She also wrote: “I’d also like to thank the photographers for being do professional and not taking photos of me on the ground. I truly truly appreciate it. Could have been super embarrassing.” We’re glad she’s okay!
HIT: Scarlett Johansson gets a star on the Walk of Fame
Johansson may only be 27 years old, but there’s no doubt she’s deserving of such an honor as a star on the Walk of Fame. The Avengers star has won a Tony award, received countless nominations for her film work and has even been Woody Allen’s muse. From indie flicks, the stage and even to big budget summer spectacles, Johansson can do it all.

We absolutely love these guys. The Wanted are some of the most down to earth, hilarious pop-superstars we’ve ever interviewed. They owe a lot of their success to one man in particular, Scooter Braun. Ever since they signed with Scooter the guys have hit some major milestones, including being #1 with their new EP here in Canada. In this interview @jordans_life talks to The Wanted about being under Scooter’s wing and taking Justin Bieber out for drinks (when he’s legal).
The Wanted’s “Chasing the Sun” video starts off at a dark and dusty bar at night, where the guys indulge in general merriment, dancing on top of bar tables and looking all mysterious in smoking black leather jackets.
Naturally, they each meet long-locked ladies who creepily have identical and cultish sun tattoos.Unwanted tattoos are an unfortunate symptom of late night drinking, but when one shows up after skin-to-skin contact, it’s a little worrisome. When the ladies touch the guys’ arms the sun tattoo appears, but the guys are less freaked out than you’d imagine.
After being marked, the group is overwhelmed with a deep longing to leave the bar and get a little more personal with their new girls at
a make-out an after party. Just as it’s getting spicy things go awry. Turns out the ladies aren’t ‘DTF’ but actually down for blood, as they’re all vampires. The fangs come out and the guys become potent True Blood.
Now that they’re bitten, does that mean there’s no more sun for them?
Watch the video below:
The Wanted will premiere their brand new music video for “Chasing the Sun” tonight on MTV and tomorrow on VEVO, but in the meantime they released a behind the scenes teaser to torture us.
Looks like the video will include lots of steamy lip locks and the last look we get is the guys leading a bunch of
DTF chicks they picked up a club into their house. Guess we know what the “sun” metaphor is in this track.

After our ‘andPOP pick me ‘ contest we had a bunch of phone numbers and we decided it would be stupid to let them go to waste. That lead to @jordans_life asking The Wanted if they wanted to prank call a fan. The end result was far better (or worse depending on how you look at it) than we could have ever imagined. The good news is Vanessa (the fan we called) was so happy when she found out it was them! If you want to be our next victim like our Facebook page to see when our next contest is happening!
The Wanted premiered their new single “Chasing the Sun” on Radio 1 this morning, inspiring many fans to set their alarms and wake up early for the occasion. The song, which was written and produced by Example, is upbeat and you’ll be able to able to sing along with the chorus after the first listen. However, it’s not known if it will be on the band’s new album.
What do you think of it?
