Flo Rida’s Hotel Raided

Over the weekend when the rapper was performing down under in Townsville, Australia, his hotel room was raided after police got tipped that the room was smelling of “burnt cannabis”.

Flo Rida’s personal assistant, Dakari Dalawn Phillips was shortly taken into custody by the Northern Region Drug Squad and locked up for 14 hours.

The Herald Sun reports when cops came to bust the hotel party, they found a joint with 1 gram of weed, three grinders, a taser, a sealed bag with 16 grams of “leafy green material” and a few more weed related items. The most surprising of all: a Viagra tablet. No reports on whether it was for Flo Rida or one of his crew members.

Because Philips had no previous criminal records, he was let off with a $1,800 but missed his plane ride out of Townsville with Flo Rida and the rest of the pop-smokin’ crew. Here’s hoping they left the maid a really hefty tip.

Wiz Khalifa Cleared of Drug Charges

Wiz Khalifa is cleared of drug charges after a November arrest in North Carolina. Following a show in Everett, North Carolina, Wiz’s bus was pulled over where police found marijuana. Wiz and 9 other men on the bus were charged with trafficking, maintaining a vehicle for sale or storage of marijuana and a misdemeanor offense of possession of drug paraphernalia, reports MTV.

However, the charges were dropped by Prosecutors as only 2 ounces were found, and you need 10 ounces to be charged with trafficking, according to Greenville, North Carolina’s The Daily Reflector.

How do the cops confuse 2 ounces with 10 ounces? We don’t know, but a pretty stupid error by the cops.

Sean Kingston Facing Potential Criminal Charges over Jet Ski Crash

As if Sean Kingston didn’t have enough problems after crashing his jet ski, he now could face criminal charges after the accident. Why? Well he has disturbed the precious local manatees.

TMZ reports where Kingston crashed last weekend is a manatee zone — and according to Florida state law, boats and watercrafts are prohibited from producing a wake in manatee-populated areas.

The investigation is ongoing, but if he is charged, Kingston could face a $32,500 fine. However, Sean probably doesn’t give a f*ck about a $32,500 fine, and we don’t think Mr. Kingston is going to lose sleep over the manatees.

Bruno Mars Takes A Plea in Las Vegas Cocaine Case

Bruno Mars got his Las Vegas cocaine case taken care of on Friday. The 25 year old pop singer accepted a plea which allows him to pay a fine, serve probation and have a felony cocaine possession charge against him dismissed.

The case stems back to September 2010 when he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The cocaine was found on him after security at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino were alerted by a bathroom attendant that the singer was doing drugs in a stall.

Mars accepted a deal where he will pay a $2,000 fine, perform 200 hours of community service and complete drug counseling.

Interestingly, we interviewed Bruno shortly after his drug arrest. However, we avoided the issue of his pending drug trial. But we were nevertheless charmed by the “Just the Way You Are” singer.

Paris Hilton Denied Entry into Japan Due to Cocaine Charges

Socialite Paris Hilton pleaded guilty on Monday to two misdemeanors in her Las Vegas cocaine case, and because of that, she now has been denied entry into Japan.

PopEater reports that Japanese immigration authorities detained Hilton due to the charges and her pending sentence. Hilton was supposed to appear in Tokyo on Wednesday to promote her new fashion line, however that press conference has been cancelled. Hilton was forced to cancel the tour after she was denied entry into the country at Tokyo’s airport.

“I’m going back home, and I look forward to coming back to Japan in the future,” a smiling Hilton told reporters before departing on her private jet.

‘Jersey Shore’s’ Snooki Charged for Being Annoying – Sounds About Right!

This is absolutely amazing and completely just. And it’s not a joke. “Jersey Shore’s” Snooki has been charged with being annoying – F*CK YA!

PopEater reports that on Wednesday, Snooki was charged by Seaside Heights prosecutors for annoying people on the beach. This just further builds on her original charges from last month of disorderly conduct and creating a public nuisance.

The charges were laid during a court hearing in Seaside Heights for the original charges. Snooki’s lawyer, Raymond Raya, entered a not guilty plea for all three charges. The star wasn’t present at the hearing.

If Snooki is convicted, she can face fines up to $2,000.

Hopefully this sends a message to all the annoying drunken assholes out there!

Ted Nugent Agrees To Pay Fine for Killing Deer on TV

You gotta give the guy credit – he really sticks to his beliefs, even though they maybe a little off the wall. Ted Nugent has agreed to pay a $1,750 fine after pleading no contest to charges stemming from a deer killing on reality TV.

PopEater reports Nugent used illegal methods to kill a deer while appearing on the outdoor program, “Spirit of the Wild.” Apparently two game wardens were watching the program where they saw Nugent use ‘Cat Scratch Fever’ rocker bait and kill a young deer with a bow and arrow.

“They watched him appear to shoot a spiked buck, which is an illegal buck to take, because it’s too small. And he had it right there on television, and it wasn’t live, it was taped,” a California Department of Fish and Game spokesman said.

Justin Bieber’s Manager Arrested for Not Tweeting

Well this is a new one. Justin Bieber’s manager “Scooter” Braun was arrested for not tweeting, according to TMZ. Yes you have read that correctly.

Apparently the incident roots back to November at the Roosevent Field mall in Garden City, NY. The event became out of control and one girl was hospitalized. Police asked Braun to send a tweet to cancel the event, but they say he refused.

Braun is being charged with reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance.

Possible Plea Bargain for Sheen

Charlie Sheen is being charged in Aspen with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault in connection with an incident with wife Brooke Mueller that occurred Christmas Day, reports TMZ. However, the case may never go to trial, as Sheen says he is open to a plea bargain that involves a misdemeanor. A bargain cannot be entered for at least 60 days, though.

A protective order that bars Sheen and Mueller from communicating is expected to be relaxed. The pair then plan to fly home to Los Angeles and begin living together again.

Possible Criminal Action Against White House Party-Crashers

The Secret Service is possibly beginning a criminal investigation against the couple from Virginia who crashed a dinner at the White House, reports CBC. Michaele and Tareq Salahi made their way past security Tuesday to attend a dinner honouring Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The pair were being filmed as potential candidates for Bravo reality show Real Housewives of D.C.

“As this moves closer to a criminal investigation, there’s less that we can say,” said Jim Mackin, a Secret Service spokesman. “I don’t want to jeopardize what could be a criminal investigation. We’re not leaving any option off the table at this point.”

Charges Against Kanye West Dropped

Charges filed against Kanye West and his road manager and bodyguard, Don Crowley, have been dropped by a Los Angeles court, reports CBC. The pair faced misdemeanour charges in connection with a fight that broke out with two paparazzi in an airport last September. The incident resulted in some broken equipment and minor injuries to one of the photographers.

West has reached a civil settlement with the men over the damaged cameras, and completed 12 hours of anger management. He was not present in court Friday when the Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner dismissed the case, ordering the rapper and Crowley to complete 50 hours of community service each.

DMX Pleads Not Guilty

After arriving one hour late for an arraignment on four felony drug charges and seven misdemeanor animal-cruelty charges, DMX entered a plea of not guilty.

DMX (also known as Earl Simmons) arrived to the Maricopa County Superior Court, in Phoenix, Thursday dressed in a loose white T-shirt and jeans.

The Republic reported that DMX had no comment for the press. The rapper did however say he was dealing with the allegations through “prayer” and described his present situation as “not very pleasant.”

DMX is due back in court July 2 on the drug and animal-cruelty charges.

Ludacris Appears in Court

Rapper Ludacris appeared in a New York courtroom yesterday to face the charges that he and rapper Kanye West stole another song without consent for their song, “Stand Up,” E! Online reports.

BMS Entertainment/Heat Music LLC sued the two musicians alleging they stole lyrics from the IOF song “Straight Like That.”

EMI April Music Publishing, distributor Universal Music, Video Distribution Corp. and Def Jam Music Group are also named in the suit.

The charges are centred around the phrase “like that” which is used many times in both songs. Ludacris and West are both expected to testify in the case, which is expected to last a week or two.
