St. Louis Rams quarterback Kyle Boller proposed to girlfriend Carrie Prejean Saturday in her hometown of San Diego, reports E! News. The ex-Miss California, 22, and the NFL star, 28, began dating last year.
Prejean was stripped of her title in the midst of controversy surrounding her anti-same-sex marriage lobbying, alleged sex tapes and a showdown with Larry King.
Well Carrie is a beautiful girl, no two ways about it. But is she smart and media savvy? Well, no and maybe. No because she didn’t know how to handle a question by Larry she didn’t like. Carrie Prejean, the former Miss California who made headlines for opposing same-sex marriage, has been forced to leave her post by Donald Trump.
“I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California USA Organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so,” Trump said in a statement. “Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it is going to happen.
“Carrie is a beautiful young woman and I wish her well as she pursues her other interests.”
Sunday night’s Miss USA competition has everyone talking, including celebrities like Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus.
During the beauty pageant, blogger Perez Hilton asked Miss California (Carrie Prejean) if more states should legalize same-sex marriage, to which she responded that marriage “should be between a man and a woman.”
Many celebrities are reacting to Prejean’s statement and have taken to Twitter to state their opinions. “Love is Love! People should be able to do whatever makes them happy!” read a Tweet by Britney Spears to Perez Hilton.
