I seriously don’t know the relationship status between Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. I thought they were back together but I just can’t assume these things anymore. Last month Selena’s on/off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber landed a double cover of Teen Vogue, and now it’s her turn to grace the newsstands with her cover of InStyle.
But Selena’s won’t be the only face you see on the magazine shelves, here are June’s other cover stars:
Demi Lovato
Selena’s former BFF gets on the magazine action too as she cover’s the June issue of Company.
Miley Cyrus
However, when it comes to former Disney child actresses none can compare to Miley Cyrus. She is this month’s cover megastar! Not only did she land a double cover for Elle UK but she also got three covers for V Magazine. It’s safe to say that we’ve all moved on from Cyrus’ Hannah Montana days as she is a bona fide high fashion darling.

The Great Gatsby failed to impress at the box office this weekend, with Iron Man 3 taking the top spot for its second weekend in theatres. While it may not have been the big ticket winner, it doesn’t mean we’re still not fascinated by director Baz Luhrmann’s 3D adaptation of the American classic. So how can we keep this literature love train going? By turning Daisy Buchanan into a Kardashian, of course.
We should really thank Carey Mulligan (who plays Daisy) for the idea as she told Vogue, ”She’s in her own TV show. She’s like a Kardashian”. So, Daisy Buchanan have what it takes to be a Kardashian? Well, we lay out some simple steps on how she can join the reality show clan.
1. Be best friends with someone famous.

Kim Kardashian first stepped into the limelight just by being one of Paris Hilton’s best friend. In order for Daisy to head into the Kardashian direction, she should be friends with someone who’s also already famous for no good reason. Jordan Baker, another Gatsby gal, would be a prime candidate for a Paris-like figure.
2. Live your life on TV

This is a no brainer. The Kardashian family are all over the media. Mulligan already said that Daisy lives her life like a movie, so this should be natural to her. Rocking the Hollywood sunglasses, and having a camera crew documenting her every move, this will surely get her on the same fame-whoring playing field as the Kardashians.

Beyoncé arrives fashionably late at this year’s Met Gala.
Fashion’s biggest red carpet took place this week as celebrities, models, and designers descended upon the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art ball. This year’s theme was punk in honour of their new exhibit Punk: Chaos to Couture. While that was a fun idea, not that many attendees were able to pull off the punk concept. It was kind of like watching an episode of Project Runway where the episode’s challenge was too far out there for some of the designers to wrap their head around. It indeed resulted in one of the craziest Met Gala red carpets ever with so many spikes and studs paired with outrageous hair and makeup! I kind of have a feeling that next year’s theme won’t be so high concept (your move, Anna Wintour)! So let’s check out who made the cut on our best dressed list. And check back for Part 2: The Blahs and the Oh No’s!
Best Dressed
Nina Dobrev can rock on stage and the red carpet in this look, a perfect combo for the gala’s theme.
Loving the studded detail on supermodel Cara Delevingne‘s gown.
Nicole Richie‘s white hair was so jaw dropping and totally badass! The dress might not be punk but the overall look is. Read more…
Directors Joel and Ethan Coen are back. With the trailer release of their new film “Inside Llewyn Davis” this week, it’s safe to say that this will probably be one of the most anticipated movies of 2013.
The film focuses on the fictional 1960s folk singer of the movie’s title (played by Oscar Isaac), a loafer who’s looking to get his big break. Featuring an all-star cast of Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake and Garrett Hedlund, the film is said to be loosely based on folk icon Dave Van Ronk.
There is no set release date for the film yet. But from the looks of this trailer, it might just possibly be a Best Picture contender for the 2014 Academy Awards. (Yes, I know the 2013 Oscars hasn’t even gone by yet. I just love to make BIG predictions.)
But if not, at least the soundtrack sounds promising.
Watch the trailer here:

This is my OMG moment of the day —nay week — because I’ve honestly been waiting for any shred of visuals to give me an idea of what Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby will look like. And it looks dayam good.
The trailer opens with a sweet track that’s so not 1922 but I’ll live with it because it makes Leonardo DiCaprio seem even more badass. The shots of NYC are totally Baz and are infused with the beautiful cinematography we saw in Moulin Rouge! and the mildly disappointing Australia.
The tempo seems a little faster than it is in the book but this isn’t just The Great Gatsby, this is Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby (there’s a difference).
The movie stars Carey Mulligan as the fashionable Daisy Buchanan, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway and DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby. If your grade 10 English class isn’t rushing back to you, Carraway heads to Long Island where he’s fascinated by his mysterious yet glitzy neighbour Gatsby [start Twilight theme].
I don’t want to get too excited or else I’m bound to be disappointed, but from what I see I’m predicting a sweet though historically inaccurate wardrobe and soundtrack. We’ll have to wait until Dec. 25, 2012 to see if it’s what we expect.

In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, People magazine names Beyoncé the world’s most beautiful woman, and Harry Styles gets a new girlfriend while breaking teenage hearts along the way.
HIT: The Wanted kill it on the Today Show
To celebrate the American release of their album, the British boy band performed their smash hit, “I’m Glad You Came.” The boys kept it clean and didn’t talk about the song’s true meaning. Excuse me while I giggle while watching my other favourite dirty boy band songs, O-Town’s “Liquid Dreams” and B44’s “Get Down.”
MISS: Harry Styles caught kissing a model

Sorry ladies, Styles may have been taken off the market. Styles was caught smooching 18 year-old American model, Emma Orsilly in New Zealand last weekend. It could be worse — he may have contracted chlamydia from a koala.
HIT: Beyoncé named The World’s Most Beautiful Woman

People magazine have dubbed the singer as the World’s Most Beautiful Woman for 2012. I can’t believe it took them this long to do it. Beyoncé is FLAWLESS.
MISS: Justin Bieber pens a song for his own “Billie Jean,” Mariah Yeater

The heartthrob told reporters in London his new album will include a song about Yeater, the 20 year-old who accused the Biebs of fathering her child late last year. The paternity case may have been thrown out, but expect a watered down version of “Billie Jean” in the upcoming months. Read more…
If you’re looking for another heartthrob-worthy performance from Ryan Gosling, you won’t be getting much of that in Drive.
But nevertheless, you won’t be able to keep your eyes off him.
In Drive, Gosling is mysterious and riveting and the only name available for his character is Driver.
A Hollywood stunt driver and mechanic by day, Driver serves as a wheelman for night time heists.
In early scenes of the movie, he’s helped by his boss and mentor Shannon (played by Malcolm in the Middle’s Bryan Cranston) who gives him a Chevy Impala to drive his clientele around to do their dirty deeds.
All goes well until he gets involved with his neighbour Irene (Carey Mulligan) and her young son Benicio. When her husband Standard (Oscar Isaac) is released from prison, Irene and Benicio’s safety is at risk.
Gosling’s ‘Driver’ tries to save the situation by helping Standard steal money from a pawn shop. But when the heist goes awry, it’s up to ‘Driver’ to take things in his own hands.
Fresh from Nicolas Winding Refn’s Best Director win at the Cannes Film Festival, Drive is an excellent action-drama thriller packed with violence and exciting car chases. Much like the style of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Pulp Fiction, the film is filled with blood and gore. Though the movie lacks dialogue, Refn somehow makes it work through the film’s characters’ actions and expressions.
While Gosling is supported by a talented cast that includes the likes of Christina Hendricks, Albert Brooks, Mulligan and Cranston, he holds his own playing the violent and badass Driver. And while there isn’t much that can be learned about the Driver, you’ll somehow still be swooning over him as he tries to save the day in order to protect the girl he’s fallen for.
Drive may not be for everyone due to its violence and gore, but it’s definitely a film worth watching. With a retro ’80s-inspired score and beautiful shots of the Los Angeles streets and skylines, it will keep the audience jumping in their seats from all the adrenaline and tension that arises from the film.
Mad-scientist director Baz Luhrmann is hard at work on his new film adaptation of the classic F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, The Great Gatsby.
The film is already featuring huge names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, and is also set to be shot in 3D (because nothing says 3D like early 20th century American literature).
Oh yah, and now Ben Affleck is getting in on the fun also.
Apparently Affleck, who now directs (Gone Baby Gone, The Town), is busy helming his 3rd directorial project, Argo. However if he can coordinate his schedule, the actor would play Tom Buchanan, the materialistic husband of Carey Mulligan’s Daisy.
Luhrmann must not have too much in store for the character of Buchanan, as Affleck’s acting has been parodied for being extremely one-dimensional and bland. (His directing ability is another story entirely.)
In the words of Bobb’e J. Thompson in Role Models, “You white? You Ben Affleck.”
