Naomi Campbell Stressed over Media Frenzy

Poor Naomi Campbell…This supermodel had a difficult year.

The spent a lot of time in the courtroom because of charges pressed against her by two former employees.

“It’s been really like a tough year in terms of the accusations and stuff that’s been very hurtful and blown out of proportion and you know I can’t stop getting on with my life,” the 35 year-old told Sky News in an interview.

But, Campbell isn’t gonna let this get her down for 2007, “I can’t pay too much attention to this negative stuff. I don’t like to live in the negative. I like to stay in the present moment and stay positive,” she says.

The catwalk superstar has agreed to pitch in and do community service in light of her last assault allegations but her lawyer refused saying he won’t have this client sweep streets.

Naomi Campbell In Trouble With Law Again

Naomi Campbell may be a repeat hit-you-with-a-phone offender.

The supermodel was charged with second-degree assault after her housekeeper said Campbell hit her over the head with a phone, leaving her full of blood.

The housekeeper, 41, was not named.

Campbell was photographed and had fingerprints taken and was then released. She arrived at the police station in handcuffs.

Her lawyer says Campbell is innocent, and that the housekeeper is making the incident up because she is bitter about getting fired earlier that day.

The housekeeper’s lawyer showed a bloody sweatshirt to media. He said his client could not locate a pair of jeans so Campbell took her Blackberry and bashed her head open. He said Campbell suspected her of stealing missing items, including the jeans she wanted to wear on Oprah.

Campbell issued the following statement:

“The allegation that I hit or in any way injured my former housekeeper is completely untrue.

“From the time she began working for me about two and one half months ago, I began questioning her about items I found missing.

“This morning, when I finally fired her for that and her erratic behavior, she screamed, ‘This is going to cost you a lot of money.’ After some more yelling and screaming on her part, she left the house. The next thing I knew, I got a call from the police. I have no idea how she was injured.

“She is sadly mistaken if she thinks she can extract money from me by concocting lies by recycling old stories. I have asked my lawyer to look into filing both theft and extortion charges against her.

“One more thing: Although there was no truth to the allegations, the police were just doing their job. The members of the NY Police Department were both courteous and professional.”

In 2001, another assistant claimed Campbell threw a headseat at her. No charges were filed.
