Chris Holmes chose to go the nicest and tastiest way to resign from his job at Stansted Airport in the United Kingdom. Holmes wrote his letter of resignation on a cake for his colleagues to munch on. Going the delicious cake route was only fitting as he turns his attention towards his family and his growing cake business.
According to the Herts and Essex Observer, his superiors wish him well in all his future endeavours.
When most people quit, their letters of resignation lack the creativity or sincerity of Holmes. Actually, my favourite kinds of resignation letters to read about are the ones where the resigned basically drop the mic in print as they air out all their grievances. There’s nothing better than reading about someone quitting a truly terrible job.
But this is nice, too!
Joe Jonas celebrated his 23rd birthday on Wednesday and someone decided it would be a great idea to freak him out with a creepy-looking birthday cake of his face.
Tweeting a photo of the dessert, he also wrote: “My Face cake last night… creepy and awesome..”
Personally, I would probably be quite weirded out to see a cake of my face glaring at me. But if someone took the time to get such a detailed design right to the beauty marks on my face, I guess it would be best to just think of it as a very, very high form of flattery.
I don’t know how I would feel about getting a cake in the face at a Steve Aoki concert. On one hand I’d be like: “Yes, he has chosen me! Out of all the people in the audience I am the lucky person Steve chose to throw a cake at.” But after the moment of shock and gratitude, I’d have to deal with the realization that I now have icing mushed into my hair and cake batter all over my clothes, and there’s no way to clean it off.
Luckily, this girl is a good sport about it and is so intense she hardly wipes the cake out of her eyes.
This is adorable! To celebrate his 29th birthday, Birdman brought Lil’ Wayne a birthday cake and bought him a crazy expensive watch.
The event was recorded with Birdman giving Wayne a Audemars Piguet watch. These watches can sometimes cost neatly $400,000! Wayne was also given a huge birthday cake.
Wayne marked his 29th on Twitter by saying, “Here’s to another year! Getting older but better with time. Luv!”

Although traditional weddings have big and elaborate wedding cakes, this particular wedding is going to be different. In a recent interview with CMT Radio, Carrie Underwood said that she will be having cupcakes instead.
“I consider myself a very traditional person. More than anything, we’re going to get married, that’s the important part. And we want everyone to have a good time, so we’re doing some things like that, that are a little bit different,” she said during the radio interview.
Underwood also said the wedding plans have been moving slowly given Fisher is still finishing his season with the Ottawa Senators.
