Although the duo may no longer be going out, it doesn’t mean that John Mayer still doesn’t have kind words for his recent ex-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston.
According to E! News, the singer had the following to say about the former “Friends” star in an interview with Us Weekly.
“If you guys are going to run stuff and run every lie under the sun, have somebody stand up for somebody,”” the singer said. “Have me as a man who ended a relationship stand here and write some truth. Have me stand up for somebody and write that Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I’ve ever met…”
“She’s one of the most lovely people I’ve ever met in my life and I’m going through something that’s a very personal thing and you have to give that up. You have to give everything up because you can’t have it all and it sucks.
“I’m sorry that the story’s not interesting,” Mayer added. “But it’s about time that somebody stands up for that girl and I think she’s great.”
The best revenge after a breakup is making it seem like it never happened. According to People magazine, Jennifer Aniston showed no signs of grief over her breakup with singer John Mayer.
The former “Friends” star was spotted at a L.A. restaurant when she ran into best pal Courteney Cox.
“It was a pretty amazing scene. Jen was sitting at a table inside and then suddenly Courteney Cox walked in,” says a fellow diner at the Sunset Towers hotel’s restaurant Thursday night. “They were pretty surprised and excited to run into each other.”
“Jen looked incredible,” says the diner. “Let me put it this way, it made me doubt the breakup story, because there is no way she was blue in any way. She was really happy … There was no hint of any problems.”
Aniston, 39, and Mayer, 30, had been dating since April but have reportedly split mutually, according to a friend of Mayer.
“They were going in different directions,” says the friend. “He’s at the height of his career and very focused. Different things are important to them both right now.”
George Clooney’s ex Sarah Larson is enjoying the single life, reports People magazine.
“It’s working for me,” she told the entertainment magazine.
Larson split from Clooney in May after dating for about a year. The model is spending most of her time working in Los Angeles and is not ready to jump into a relationship.
“I’m staying single,” said Larson. “I’m not dating anyone right now.”
Larson also denies that she is dating actor Jason Statham after the two were spotted having dinner in Las Vegas last month.
“It was a large group of people and I didn’t even know he was at the table,” she said. “We talked for a little bit but it was nothing.”
