Nick Jonas Buys Flowers for Fans

Nick Jonas, the youngest of the Jonas Brothers, gave impromptu mini-concerts Wednesday at Santa Monica Pier, Disneyland and a flower shop called Mark’s Garden in Los Angeles’s Sherman Oaks, reports E! News.

“All of the fans received roses,” said a representative for Jonas. “One of the songs on Nick’s CD is called ‘Rose Garden,’ so he wanted a great flower shop as one of his stops. Nick is very grateful for his fans and wanted to do something special to give back to them for their love and support.”

About 100 people showed up to the 45-minute performance. Jonas was accompanied by his father, guitar player Sonny Thompson and his security guard. He played “Who I Am,” the title track off his debut album with Nick Jonas and the Administration.

After the show, Jonas spent the evening with Selena Gomez, whom he is rumoured to be dating again.

The Killers Going on Indefinite Break

Alternative rock band The Killers are to go on hiatus following their show in Melbourne, Australia on Feb. 21, reports CHARTattack.com.

“I’m not sure if people are aware of it, but these are probably our last shows for a while,” guitarist Dave Keuning told the Associated Press. “Unless some surprise thing comes up… we’re having a break.”

“We haven’t had a break in quite a while,” he continued. “It’s just been touring and making records on and on and on.”

“There hasn’t been much time where we haven’t been either touring or taking time to make another record.”

The break should give all band members some time to do other things. For singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, that probably means more time with his two sons. Keuning also has a young son.

“…We just want a little time off, just to be myself and do what I want to do for a little bit,” Keuning said.

Until their break, The Killers will be performing in support of 2008′s album Day & Age here:

Killers Frontman Brandon Flowers Ties The Knot

Hear that? That’s the sound of a million female hearts breaking. Brandon Flowers, the gorgeous lead singer of popular rock group the Killers, has married his long-time girlfriend Tana Munblowsky, an Urban Outfitters retail manager in the band’s hometown of Las Vegas.

Flowers, with his suave style and trademark black eyeliner, has been setting hearts aflutter since the Killers burst onto the scene just two years ago. But fans will now have to settle for Mr. Brightside as a married man.

A spokesperson for the band?s record label, Island Records, announced yesterday that Flowers tied the knot last Tuesday in “a small, intimate wedding” in Hawaii. His bandmates were all present and “helped the couple celebrate” afterward. The surprise wedding was a low-key event; some sources report that even Elton John was denied an invite in order to keep the ceremony as top-secret as possible.

The couple?s honeymoon will be a short one. The band is due to go back out on the road on August 9 with a show in St. Paul, Minn. They?ve also just been added as performers at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, to be held in Miami, Fla. on August 28.
