Bow Wow and Chris Brown Spend $5,000 on Strippers

Although we reported a while back that Bow Wow might be bankrupt, that’s not stopping him from going out and dropping $5,000 on strippers with Chris Brown. TMZ is reporting the duo were seen last Wednesday at a Miami strip club dropping mad cash.

Brown and Bow Wow visited the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami, buying bottles for their crew and dropping serious cash.

Three dancers reportedly walked away with $5,000 in tips each.

We guess the F.A.M.E. tour must be doing all right!

Bow Wow has a job! As we reported, Bow Wow has been having some financial problems and recently had his Bentley repossessed. Luckily he will be getting a pay check by touring with Chris Brown.

Bow Wow said, ”Its gone be fun ya know,” Bow Wow said of the tour, his first with Brown since 2008. “Me and Breezy are brothers man. Our fans know that. Its just a different energy when we are on the same bill together or in the same arena. The fans know what to expect, and that’s a hell of a show.”

Bow Wow Might Be Broke – Bentley Repossessed

Things aren’t looking so good for Bow Wow right now. It looks like Bow Wow might be broke, and his Bentley was repossessed after he missed several payments.

MTO reports a Florida repo company picked up a Bentley belonging to Shad “Bow Wow” Moss. The rapper’s credit had become so poor that it was best to take back the car.

Somebody needs to give Bow Wow a job quick!

When will people learn that they need to be careful what they post on Twitter. Last night after partying with Akon and Chris Brown in a Miami club, Bow Wow posted the following to Twitter – “Face numb im whippin the lambo. Tispy as f*k. Just left @livmiami.” This was then followed by “Im f**ked up!!! Ohhhh damn. Y i drive the lambo. Chris might have to drive after next spot.”

Later in the night these posts were removed from Twitter. According to TMZ this is insufficient evidence to make an arrest.

Soulja Boy Ready To Prove Doubters Wrong

Soulja Boy’s sophomore and latest album “iSouljaBoyTellem” was a test.

Would this second year Hip-Hop artist’s career be solely defined by his 2007 debut album’s hit party single “Crank That”- which propelled the Chicago native to instant fame?

Or would the 18-year-old be able to prove his consistency as an artist in the music industry , and once again punch out another club rocker.

Well initially, the second album released in September, didn’t get the love Soulja thought it deserved. But as time progressed, it’s sixth single “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” caught fire, taking the no. 3 spot on the Billboard US top 100 and luring over one million downloads in ring tone sales. It’s a buzz which Soulja believes is the beginning of a massive turn-around.

“I think my plan for my second album wasn’t perfect,” Soulja Boy tells andPOP. “It wasn’t 100% thought through. For the first album, I was the new artist- and everything just fell into place- but for the second album, the plan wasn’t really what I wanted it to be, but now it’s starting to turn around. ‘Kiss Me Thru The Phone’ is killing the billboard charts right now, and ‘Turn my Swag On’ is taking the streets.”

Put a little star next to the latter, “Turn My Swag On”- which Soulja Boy is spinning a remix of with Lil Wayne and Keri Hilson. It’s a key part of his prophetic vision of taking his career to a new plateau.

“It’s been real good working with those guys- and where they’re at right now, it was great,” says Soulja Boy, who predicts the release date of the remix to be in a few weeks. “I think the remix is gonna take my career to a whole other level. It’s a pretty different song from ‘Crank That,’ but still has that same power behind when it’ll come on the radio or in the club. It’s definitely gonna be worth the wait.”

Hoping that the two singles form a killer duo, Soulja Boy plans to take on the country in full throttle this summer with a “Turn My Swag On: Tour.”

Looking back on his first tour experience in 2007- with Chris Brown and Bow Wow’s “Exclusive Holiday Tour”- Soulja Boy plans on making his second experience more successful, saying “I just want this to be bigger. I’ve got the two big singles on this album, and I really wanna perform it live to everyone as best as possible.”

The artist admits that touring the U.S. is one thing, but when heading towards the international scene, the butterflies erupt.

“Touring in other countries, it’s more exciting” says Soulja Boy. “I recently did a concert in Cancun, I was really looking forward to going over there- it was my first time and the view was beautiful, the fans were amazing. I also can’t wait to get back to Tokyo, I went there once while on tour, and it was unbelievable, I’m a big fan of the technology there. But yeah, when you have chances to book something overseas, it’s a whole other game, more overwhelming.”

And one of the most critical factors while on tour on stage, according to Soulja, is the choreography. Those catchy dances that have been branded into your mind over the past year even have the artist heading to the gym to train his stamina before hand.

“It’s very important to have the concert up to par with the actual video that they see on TV or YouTube,” explains Soulja Boy. “That’s what sells the tickets- they wanna see you do it in person. When we’re doing dances for a show, I try and get to the gym often to run and work on my cardiovascular, so that I can be great on stage dancing and rapping at the same time.”

“So I mean, yeah the dancing is important- when you have thousands of fans watching you live and snapping pics and taking videos, you have to have each step down perfectly, because if you mess up they’re gonna see it.”

What’s hard to believe is that all this life in super-stardom all began with the good’ole internet- basically the click of a mouse.

“I think that the Internet is very important for my career,” admits Soulja Boy, who got everything started back in November 2005, when he posted self-published songs from home on Soundclick, Youtube and Myspace.

His claim-to-fame hit single, “Crank That,” then ended up hooking him a deal with Interscope Records. The single graced the no. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven non-consecutive weeks.

“Everybody found out about Soulja Boy because of my original stuff online. That was my way to get a foot in the door. But I think I need it more now than ever, the MySpace page, Twitter and YouTube help me connect to millions of fans all over the world. They’re definitely a huge asset to my career.”

The numbers definitely do the talking: over 400 million YouTube views and close to 70 million MySpace views. And that massive fan-base and popularity has spawned many expansions in Soulja Boy’s career- including a clothing line, shoe line, and now believe it or not, an animated web series.

“Cartoons was always something that I wanted to do” says Soulja Boy who now has “Soulja Boy Tell Em : The Animated Series”- which debuted in January.

The show follows an animated Soulja who is forced to return back to High School, while in the middle of his celebrity life as a Hip-Hop artist. Soulja, with the help of his animated friends, is continually doing whatever he can to get out of his daily school routine.

“I got offered to do a lot of TV shows when I first came out, but we eventually decided to stick with the animated series,” says Soulja Boy.

“It’s a live action cam, something people would enjoy, and It’s pretty cool. When I first saw myself up there as a cartoon on screen, it was crazy, I mean I couldn’t believe it – I thought that I really made it out here in the industry. I’ve been doing music professionally for two years now, and I already have a web series, so it was unbelievable.”

The school’s principal, played by a live action Alfonso Ribiero (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) is always hot on Soulja’s heels to keep him in line.

Soulja Boy had nothing but praise for Ribiero, saying “this was the guy who worked with Will Smith for a long time. It was crazy for me to have that experience. He’s really funny to work with.”

There’s no question about it, the artist is taking advantage of any opportunity presented to further expand his young career. But one thing’s for sure, Soulja Boy still intends to continue his quest to overcome the label of one-hit wonder.

“I just wanna keep working hard to get one step further,” says Soulja Boy. “I think I’m on a good track now, the album heating up, the tour in the summer. It’s gonna be good.”

Bow Wow Joins ‘Entourage’

Like many artists looking to make the transition from a music career to an acting career, Bow Wow is the next star to join the cast of a successful television show. The 21-year-old rapper will be joining the fifth season of HBO’s “Entourage.”

“After 16 years in the music industry and six successful albums, I’ve decided to shift my energy to something else I’m passionate about, acting,” he said. “I’m going to try to be the next Will Smith.”

The rapper will join the Emmy-Award winning show by playing Charlie, a stand-up comic who becomes a new client of E’s.

Bow Wow has appeared in films “Roll Bounce” and “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” and has made appearances on TV’s “Ugly Betty,” “Smallville” and “Moesha.”

Bow Wow Throws a Fit, Lands in Hospital

After rapper Bow Wow, formerly Little Bow Wow, landed a bed in a local hospital last week, representatives from Bow Wow’s camp announced that the hospitalization was due to exhaustion and stress. Only a few days later, his representatives released another press statement alleging that the reason for Bow Wow’s hospitalization was an appendix infection causing the rapper to faint.

This week, however, the 20-year-old came forward with the truth about what actually put him in the doctors’ care. According to him, he had thrown a fit in his dressing room causing him to cut his hand open severely in the process.

Currently touring with Chris Brown, Bow Wow has not graced the stage since Dec. 6. At an event at Harlem’s Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing & Visual Arts, Bow Wow reassured fans and press that he’ll be just fine.

“I’m taking my medication, everything is gonna be cool. We’ll see if I have to have surgery as of right now, [but] I’m feeling fine”

Bow Wow Update

Bow Wow was hospitalized last week after a concert performance, as was previously reported. The young rap star is now said to be suffering from an appendix infection.

It was first reported that stress and exhaustion were the initial reasons for the hospitalization.

Bow Wow is said to be well and on a smooth road to recovery but won’t be back on the road to perform until Wednesday’s show in Memphis, Tennessee.

The rapper will miss the sold out Baltimore date.

Fans in Chicago will have to wait a little longer to see their favourite lil’ rapper take the stage.

Bow Wow has canceled an upcoming appearance in the windy city after being rushed to a Cincinnati hospital Friday.

The 20-year-old rapper was hospitalized after performing at the U.S Bank Arena, MTV reports.

Sony BMG issued a statement on behalf of Bow Wow saying the star is well but still undergoing tests. The young MC cites “stress and exhaustion” as the reasons for the sudden trip to the ER.

Bow Wow has been headlining his current tour with other young hip hop stars, namely Chris Brown, Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy, and Lil Mama.

His new album, Face Off, a collaboration with Omarion, hits stores Tuesday.

The tour will roll into Chicago on Friday night without Bow Wow, according to Sony.

“He loves [his fans] and will be sure to come back to Chicago soon!” the company said to MTV.

CD Review: Bow Wow – Unleashed

Bow Wow’s growing up. In fact, on his latest album, “Unleashed,” he doesn’t sound or look the way that he did when we saw him last, which was just a year ago. He had a big growth spurt, his voice deepened a couple notches, and most importantly, his music is taken to the next level.

He can thank his deeper voice for the enhancement to his rapping. He no longer sounds like a kid, meaning he can now justifiably be compared and held up against his fellow rappers. The 16-year-old also is now believable when he sings about girls, which a lot of the songs are about.

The tracks aren’t just rap about girlfriends though. His song with Amerie, “To My Mama,” pays tribute to his mother, with lines like, “Anything you need from me Mom you know that it’s yours/ You’re the only woman in my life that I adore.” That songs is not to be confused with “Hey Little Momma,” where he tries to pick up a girl.

The production on the album stands out amongst everything else. Almost every song has potential to become a hit, especially “Eighteen,” produced by Lil Jon, where Bow Wow sings about his anticipation of turning 18. Swizz Beats’ “Get It Poppin’” also stands out.

There are three Neptunes produced tracks, but aside from “I’ll Move On” with Mario, Bow Wow could have done without the hit-makers since they create the worst part of this album. “The Movement” is especially boring and it would have served Bow Wow better to just rap without a background track.

What’s with the nicknames? As seen on his last album, the “Lil’” has been dropped from his name. On this album, he calls himself “Boweezy,” Jagged Edge call him “Bowizzle,” and the Neptunes call him “the Don, the Dutch.” It may be hard to keep track, but as long as Mr. Wow keeps turning up with material like this, his name could be Nick Carter and he’d still sell records.
