Bristol Palin has a book deal, which is surprising because we didn’t think she knew how to read. Fox News reports Bristol has signed with William Morrow to publish “Not Afraid of Life,” to come out this summer. Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, announced Tuesday that the memoir would provide “an inside look at her life.”
“Bristol gives readers an intimate behind-the-scenes look at her life for the first time, from growing up in Alaska to coming of age amid the media and political frenzy surrounding her mother’s political rise; from becoming a single mother while still a teenager to coping as her relationship with her baby’s father crumbled publicly — not once, but twice,” according to Morrow.
“Bristol talks about the highs and lows of her appearance on ABC-TV’s ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ including the aching hours of practice, the biting criticisms, and the thrill of getting to the show’s finals,” Morrow announced. “She speaks candidly of her aspirations for the future and the deep religious faith that gives her strength and inspiration.
So how will this book be written? There is no way Bristol can write beyond a Grade 4 level. However, nobody with an intelligence above a Grade 4 level would be dumb enough to read this book.

It’s been three years since his tell-all book about his sister was released, and the siblings haven’t spoken since. Now that he’s ridden that wave for as long as possible, he’s decided to open up about Madonna’s love of younger men.
“I guess if she continues to date all these much younger guys, it could start to look creepy. But I think that a lot of Madonna’s emotional needs are met by taking care of her children; these boyfriends must really be like a kind of distraction for her. She certainly isn’t following societal values, but then again my sister never has and probably never will either.”
Hmm… we’re not the biggest Madonna fans, but at least we know we can’t tell her who to date!

Funnyman Adam Carolla has written a new book titled “In Fifty Years We’ll All Be Chicks,” which touches on a variety of topics, including gay marriage, border control, airport security and the legalization of marijuana.
In the book, Carolla comments that he believes marijuana should be legalized. As he tells PopEater, “I’m Republican, but I’d like pot legalized.”

The MTV star is expected to release her first book, tentatively titled A “Shore Thing,” in January, publisher Simon & Schuster announced Wednesday.
We have no clue exactly what the book will be about, however based on what we do know about Snooki, it will be a “thought provoking” read. We look forward to reading it and probably losing even more respect for Snook.

“Real Housewives of D.C.” star Michaele Salahi has revealed in a new book that she suffers from multiple sclerosis.
Salahi was diagnosed with the disease seven years ago, and appeared on FOX News this morning to discuss her struggle.
“This is the first time I’ve said it publicly … It’s something I kept personal, “Salahi said. “I think a lot of people do with chronic illnesses or any type of disease, whether it’s heart [disease] or whatever you deal with, you know, breast cancer, so for me, I kept it personal because I never wanted to be judged, never wanted to have pity, and I certainly wanted to hold on to my job.”
The new book, titled ‘Cirque du Salahi,’ was written by Diane Dimond.
A new biography is being written about pop princess Lady Gaga by Maureen Callahan titled “Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga.” In the book, Gaga’s former tour manager David Ciemny claims Gaga has extremely dangerous dieting habits.
PopEater reports that in the book, Ciemny alleges that in 2009 alone, Gaga was hospitalized six times because of poor eating habits. Additionally the singer binged on junk food when not depriving herself of calories altogether.

Jon Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus 8 fame is writing a book, Perez Hilton reports. Written with the help of his life coach, Sylvia Lafair, the book is to be titled A Slice Of Life: Jon Gosselin’s Story.
“The book is about having eight kids all at once when he was under the age of 30,” Lafair said. “It includes some of the lessons that Jon has been learning with helpful hints on how he is working to re-frame his relationship with his family including his two brothers and his mother … It also explores how the death of his father affected him.”
Lafair, who reportedly works with Jon for$10,000 (U.S.) per session, said Gosselin is working towards his rebirth.
“Jon called because his life was not working,” she said. ”I think sometimes people have to get to their worst place to find out what they need in order to climb out of it. This past year has been like that for Jon.”
“Watching him is like a vaccination that’s taking effect,” Lafair continued. “I hear it in his voice … He has a more thoughtful way of stopping and asking questions … He wants to be the most effective father. He wants to find a way to speak for his generation in terms of getting married, divorced and raising kids and finding a better way to live his life.”

Stephenie Meyer, author of the famed and crazed Twilight book (and now movie) series, has released a short novella relating to the other Twilight books and had decided to release it online for free for her fans, PerezHilton reports.
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner has been released to coincide with the third installment of the film franchise, Eclipse (out June 30).

So it turns out that Kate Gosselin fans like watching her on TV and reading about her on the Internet (THANK YOU FANS!), but not reading her books.
Since its April 13 release, “I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith, and Family” has sold just 10,084 copies, according to national book sales tracker Bookscan.
Jim Milliot, business and news director of book-industry magazine Publishers Weekly, tells UsMagazine.com that the numbers “nowhere near a blockbuster” and “not that impressive.”
This must be extra insulting as the reality TV Mom really hustled the book hard to anybody that would speak to her. Let’s also not forget that she has been a tabloid sweetheart for months and everybody has been talking about her. However they were obviously talking about her for the wrong reasons as not too many are willing to open their wallets.
We wonder if Jon Gosselin is happy or sad about this development. Happy perhaps because his ex-wife has failed at her writing career. Sad perhaps because that means less alimony for him and increasing the likelihood of him needing a real job.
Although “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke has been replaced for the “New Moon” sequel, some fans have held out hope that she would return to helm the third or fourth movie in the teen-vampire franchise.
Unfortunately for those fans, Hardwicke recently shot down the possibility of directing any future “Twilight” installments in an interview with MTV. “I think it’s healthier to have a new person do [each one],” she said.
“I’ve loved all the different directors that did the ‘Harry Potter’ [films], because each one had their own cool style and energy, so I think that’s good. And I’m moving on to other projects.”
In her new memoir that came out on Tuesday (March 3) the Hannah Montana star writes about her experiences of being bullied in elementary school, according to AccessHollywood.com.
“The girls took it beyond normal bullying. These were big, tough girls,” Miley Cyrus writes in the book. “I was scrawny and short. They were fully capable of doing me bodily harm.”
Cyrus also describes being locked in a bathroom in one of the bullying incidents. “They shoved me in. I was trapped. I banged on the door until my fists hurt. Nobody came,” she continues. “I spent what felt like an hour in there, waiting for someone to rescue me, wondering how my life had gotten so messed up.”
The girls also challenged the Hannah Montana star to a physical fight. “It seemed like Operation Make Miley Miserable was escalating to a new level. More like Operation Take Miley Down,” she writes. “Three girls strutted up and stood towering over me. My stomach churned. I clutched my grilled-cheese sandwich like it was the hand of my best friend”.
