The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes had to undergo surgery due to a haemorrhaging nodule in his throat on Thursday. (yikes!) Sykes announced on Tuesday that he will need to take a hiatus after his surgery in order to fully heal. This caused the Fanmily to be worried about the health and the future of the band: will he sing again? Who’s going to kill the “I Found You” solo? Why, out of all days, did it have to be on his birthday?!
But never fear, Sykes is doing just fine. He tweeted this soon after his surgery:

All jokes aside, we’re really glad that Nathan’s doing alright. We might not get to see him talk, or hear him sing anytime soon, but as long he’s fine and on the road to recovery, we don’t mind sacrificing a few weeks. But hey, think about this, Nathan: you probably can drink all the tea without anyone judging you now, right?
We’re also glad to see that the Fanmily was able to make him smile on his birthday by flooding his timeline with birthday wishes and a speedy recovery. Nathan also tweeted:

Soldier and redditor Rapid_Bombarder recently posted this letter he received from an eighth grader named Giselle.
The letter was quite sweet and hit all the right points as she paid him quite the compliment, asked him about his life and gave a quick description of herself. Though the icing of the cake has to be the puking unicorn she drew at the bottom of the page. I think her accuracy is spot on as the unicorn is throwing up glitter and farting rainbows (JUST LIKE GIRLS!).
According to his original post, Rapid Bombarder said it brightened up his day, which coincidentally, was his birthday. Best. Birthday. Message. Ever.

Justin Bieber, who turned 19 yesterday, ended his big legal-age turning day with a depressing tweet. After a confrontation ended his birthday celebrations early, Bieber was forced to leave his circus-themed party at London’s Cirque du Soir.
According to E! Online, the confrontation occurred between Bieber’s entourage and club security. Apparently friend Jaden Smith and Bieber’s rumoured flame Ella-Paige Roberts Clarke were also at the bash.
Bieber was obviously pressed last night, tweeting: “Worst birthday.”
Catching on to the news soon enough, Beliebers started the trend #BeliebersHatePaparazzi” blaming the usual suspects for ruining J-Biebz’s big day.
This obviously sucks, but it’s not like Bieber can’t afford another party. He’s rich and he’s fairly successful. I’d say he has a pretty good life and can let this slide.

It’s your 19th birthday today. Happy birthday! The older you get, the more mature you’re supposed to be.
I don’t know about you, but I feel like 19 is such an important year. The most important thing about being nineteen is that you’re now legal to drink all over Canada. We know that you probably get the star treatment and like most teenagers, you’ve been doing this for quite a while. But if you were still back in your hometown, we’d know that tonight you’ll be drinking and clubbing until your liver falls apart. So, make a trip to the Great White North and do just that. Just know your limit and don’t drive. If you want to just chill at home, that’s cool too. Not everyone wants to get black out drunk on their big day and subsequently loses memory of what happened.

Depending on how often you frequent your faux-neighbourhood café, it could mean free re-fills on tea and brewed coffees, food and speciality drinks. Luckily for those who can’t splurge on a venti French vanilla latte every week, anyone is entitled to a free drink upon signing up.
Starbucks fan Beau Chevassus took full advantage of this knowledge and took it upon himself to order the most expensive Starbucks drink known to the Internet.
While he did cheat a little bit (he brought a 52 oz. mug which is not a size offered by Starbucks), he did accomplish an impressive feat by adding 48 shots of espresso to his venti Mocha Frappuccino

Challenge: Think of a memory in your past that centers around Beyoncé. Mine involves choreographing a nameless song on Destiny’s Child album with my good friend in grade six. Fast forward to university and my roommates and I unsuccessfully tried to learn the “Single Ladies” dance, however we weren’t as lithe and flexible as we were in our youth (sad face).

Joe Jonas celebrated his 23rd birthday on Wednesday and someone decided it would be a great idea to freak him out with a creepy-looking birthday cake of his face.
Tweeting a photo of the dessert, he also wrote: “My Face cake last night… creepy and awesome..”
Personally, I would probably be quite weirded out to see a cake of my face glaring at me. But if someone took the time to get such a detailed design right to the beauty marks on my face, I guess it would be best to just think of it as a very, very high form of flattery.
Moms and any form of social media can be a dangerous combination. Not that most moms would ever post a semi-nude photo of themselves pregnant with you as punishment a “birthday present.” That kind of crosses some privacy line, doesn’t it?
Rob Kardashian turned 25 today and to celebrate his mom Kris Jenner dug out and scanned some photos to share with the world on her blog. Yes, embarrassing baby photos aren’t just restricted for when a boyfriend/girlfriend meets the parents, than can be posted anytime, anywhere.
She posted it along with the caption: “Happy 25th birthday to my wonderful, handsome son, Rob!! Rob, you are the best son a mother could ask for and you make me proud every day. I love you so much!!”
Luckily, she also posted another photo which is slightly less creepy.
Justin Bieber spent his 18th birthday on Ellen’s couch and she surprised him by kidnapping a fan and surprising her. Ellen’s crew blindfolded the young girl and put her in a box with airholes poked in the side. Then they threw the box on the back of a cargo truck and drove her down to the set. Kids, do not trust strangers like that.
Also, if I were this girl I would have appreciated fair warning from my parents. You know, something like “honey, there may be a chance you’re appearing on national television today so why not ditch the sweats?”
Anyway, they rolled her on to the set and she emerged from the box like she was waking from the dead. But I supposed getting a hug form her idol was worth it in the end.
When we look back years from now, we will know that on this day, March 1, it wasn’t any sort of world issue that was trending online… it was Justin Bieber’s 18th birthday. Something to be proud of people.
The newest, crazy thing groupies fans are doing for Beaver’s birthday is setting him a Guinness World Record, because apparently he doesn’t already have enough accolades. Bieberites are trying to set a record for the most social media messages in 24 hours.
Last I looked, the top trends in Canada included these gems: Happy Birthday Justin Bieber AND Beliebers Bday Sex, so I don’t think they’ll have much trouble.

Britney also received a ton of celebrity Happy Birthday wishes. ”Happy birthday to the beautiful Miss Britney Spears! Welcome to the 30′s club, Brit!!” Kim Kardashian told the pop star on Celebuzz. “I wish you all the best for this next year and beyond. You’re going to love your 30′s! The two former Mickey Mouse members were wearing bridal gowns and Madonna wore a black tux. When they changed songs to “Hollywood”, Madonna did the unexpected and planted a sloppy kiss on Britney (and Christina but this isn’t her moment). The best part: the camera cutting to Justin Timberlake for his reaction.
1. Shaving Her Head
Back in 2007, Britney did what was considered the norm for a major popstar: she checked into rehab. It seems she was partying too much with “bad role models” like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Unfortunately, Britney abruptly checked out a day later. The following day, she was spotted at a Tattoo Parlour in L.A. shaving her head. Known for her long, gorgeous blonde locks, the sight of Britney bald and completely worn out shocked just about everyone.
At her 19th birthday party last week, Miley Cyrus admitted to being a pothead. When her friends presented her with a Bob Marley cake, Miley responded by saying, “You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much f***in’ weed.”

Kelly was of course referring to the Miley scandal last year where she was caught on video smoking salvia.

As mentioned yesterday, Miley Cyrus celebrated her 19th birthday surrounded by all her family, friends, midgets and unicorns.
The lavish bash, put together by close friend Kelly Osbourne, had everyone partying at the Roosevelt Hotel until the sun came up. Now, we finally have a few photos of the big event to share with you, thanks to Miley Gallery.
Miley danced (and drank) the night away with some very colourful guests including a mini Nicki Minaj impersonator, the Cookie Monster and a giant panda.
There certainly weren’t any high requirements for Miley’s birthday party.

NBC has confirmed they will be airing a TV special for Betty White’s 90th Birthday in January.
The concept for the special is a huge dinner style party with a bunch of celebrity guests who will be celebrating this huge milestone with Betty.
White is currently on Hot in Cleveland which is also planning a birthday episode for White’s character.
Michael Jackson’s children and father paid a visit to his boyhood home in Gary, Indiana. Today would have been Michael’s 53rd Birthday.
Festivities took place throughout the weekend at the home celebrating Michael’s life.
Thirteen-year-old Paris Jackson told WLS-TV that she enjoyed seeing so many fans at the house when she and her brothers, 14-year-old Prince and 9-year-old Blanket, visited on Saturday.
The Post-Tribune of Merrillville reports that Jackson’s father Joe attended activities at the home on Sunday.
Demi Lovato tuned 19 today, and what better way to celebrate than a good old beer run. But wait – she’s underage.
Well luckily Demi was with an older dude (presumably he’s 21) who help them score the booze.
However, wasn’t Demi recently in rehab? Well yes – however TMZ reports her people say it wasn’t for drug or alcohol abuse.
