British actress Kate Winslet, known for her starring roles in such blockbusters as “Titanic,” ”Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “Revolutionary Road,” and “The Reader,” has been voted as having the most desirable celebrity body, reports perezhilton.com.
According to a recent YouGov poll, the stunning star with her post-children body is the number one most desired. Also included on the list are other beauties such as Halle Berry, Cheryl Cole, Beyonce, Megan Fox and Lily Allen.
It looks like Kelly Rowland isn’t the only diva who’s had enough of Matthew Knowles.
Beyonce’s mom (who also happens to be her costume designer), Tina Knowles, has filed divorce papers against Matthew (Beyonce’s manager). According to mtvnews.com, TMZ says that she filed the divorce papers last month in Texas, calling an end to a 29-year marriage.
Matthew is known for his powerful promotion of Beyonce, and he quit his job at IBM after a 20-year long career to manage the group of girl’s that would eventually become Destiny’s Child. He is known to have had a pivotal role in making Beyonce’s solo career the success story that it is, and has producer credits on the 2009 thriller “Obsessed.” Yet he’s not the only parent thoroughly engaged in the Sasha Fierce spectrum. Known for her fierce costumes and performance gowns, Beyonce has been dressed by Tina, who is a stylist and principal in House of Dereon (launched in 2004). Beyonce is almost as esteemed for her clothing line as for her incredible performance talents.
Not only is Kelly Rowland infuriated with Matthew Knowles (Beyonce’s father), but it seems as though the ultimate punishment is having to head to Chicago on Tuesday for a lawsuit against the former Destiny’s Child group.
The lawsuit, citing copyright infringement on the hit single “Cater 2 U” is Matthew’s fault, according to Rowland. According to people.com, Rowland states that Matthew has a long history of trying to get songwriters to add Beyonce’s name to songs she didn’t compose, just so she gets publishing royalties, and not it’s coming back to haunt all three former members of the girl group.
The girls, who had remained close for several years, have distanced themselves from each other. Rowland fired Matthew as her manager earlier in 2009. A source had this to say about Beyonce and Rowland’s relationship:
“She and Beyoncé remained cordial at first. But things have gotten tense since Kelly griped that Matthew is the cause of this lawsuit.”
This reeks of familiarity. According to perezhilton.com, Beyonce was called out by Ne-Yo for her declaring that she wrote the hit Irreplaceable, and he issued a statement that said she was not involved in the lyrics and was barely involved in the accompanying music.
The diva of this time has certainly earned her title.
With 10 Grammy nominations, starlet Beyonce has successfully matched the record for most nominations for a female artist in a single year. The other holder of this title is long-time crooner and Fugees Lauryn Hill. In 1999, Hill received 10 Grammy nominations for her solo album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.”
The majority of Beyonce’s nominations stem from the hit album, “I am… Sasha Fierce,” with the exception of her work on the Cadillac Records soundtrack for her portrayal of the Etta James hit, “At Last.” Beyonce also performed this song in Obama’s honor as he was named President of the United States. She played James character in the film, and was celebrated for his dramatic performance.
The nominees for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards were announced last night during a special televised one-hour concert event, reports rollingstone.com.
Only some of the nominees were announced on television, but a full list is available at the Grammy’s official site. Beyoncé leads the group with 10 nominations for her latest album, I Am…Sasha Fierce and her song, “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” Taylor Swift comes in second with eight nominations. Lady Gaga scored five nods.
The concert, that was hosted by LL Cool J, featured guest stars like Ringo Starr and Kay Perry, and showed performances by the Black Eyed Peas, as well as the debut of Nick Jonas and the Administration.
What do you get when you mix cameras, music, video phones, and two of the biggest divas in the U.S. music industry?
A music video with Beyonce and Lady Gaga, remixing Beyonce’s original “Video Phone” score. In the newly-released video, the two larger-than-life diva’s storm around in trench coats, bathing suits and heels. It opens up with a scintillating scene of Beyonce and her all-male posse marching down a seemingly-deserted alleyway with a purpose in mind.
Gaga and Beyonce are an interesting combination that makes for a unique music video. Azcentral.com says that the director, Hype Williams, “shoots a video in his trademark electrifying colour schemes and high-shine lighting, resulting in a fantastical pop mirage.”
It’s difficult to say if Solange Knowles’ hip factor is real, or if it’s just the cause of hanging out with her uber-cool older sister. But she sure seems to be harnessing it nicely. O Friday, her cover of The Dirty Projectors’ “Stillness is the Move” surfaced on Pitchfork.com before being yanked by Universal at the label’s behest.
Unimpressed, Solange took to Twitter to voice her frustrations.
“So fucking crazy universal has been taking down a COVER I’m NOT selling or trying to publish. Never heard of that shit in my life! Not to mention Dirty Projectors, LOVED the cover& all parties are happy Doesn’t Lil Wayne a Universal artist rap over other folks records?”
Solange has certainly stepped up her media presence since her days as the Disney version of Beyonce.

Beyonce has postponed a concert scheduled in Malaysia next week due to criticism by some Islamic extremists who deem her clothing and choreography to be too provocative, reports Perez Hilton. Members of the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party said they thought the show would be immoral and promote “Western sexy performances.”
Event promoters said the show would be rescheduled for a future date.
Amid fierce rumors that two of the biggest divas in the industry – Beyonce and Lady Gaga- are teaming up, the truth has finally emerged. It has been confirmed that the two singers have joined forces on a super-secret video for Beyonce’s “Video Phone.”
According to mtvnews.com, a spokesperson for director Hype Williams confirmed to MTV that both Beyonce and Gaga appear in the “Video Phone” clip, which Williams shot last weekend in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighbourhood.
William’s spokesperson would not confirm any additional tidbits about the shoot, but, according to Life and Style magazine, security on set was very tight, and the video is shaping up to be a fashion bonanza, with Beyonce wearing “a feathered dress” and Gaga sporting “something wild … the fashion is sick and insane.”

Didn’t Beyoncé look hot in the video for “If I Were A Boy”? Wasn’t it a great song? It must be considering it has over 50,000,000 plays on YouTube alone. Well andPOP is giving away the same dress she wore in the video (keep in mind it’s a size small)! All you need to do to enter is to complete the form below and answer the trivia question.
Less than a week after it was reported that Beyonce was forced to severely tone down her liberated, subtly sexual performance in Malaysia , Kuala Lumpur officials deemed Bruno inappropriate for the population’s viewing, thestar.com reports. The National Film Censorship Board in Malaysia has cut off the public viewing of British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen’s portrayal of a flamboyantly homosexual Austrian fashionista. The barrier-crossing film contained numerous clips of Cohen’s Bruno engaging in sexual acts with another man, along with scenes that included full frontal nudity and plenty of other excessively sexual scenes. Despite criticism of the films gratuitous sexual content, it was commercial success across North America.
Talks about remaking the Barbara Streisand classic A Star is Born continue at Warner Brothers, reports Perez Hilton.
A writer has recently been signed to draft a script, and executives are reportedly looking at Beyonce to resume Streisand’s role as Esther Hoffman. Beyonce would be joining the likes of Janet Gaynor and Judy Garland who have also played the role in earlier versions of the film.
Kanye you are a talented guy but sometimes you push it too far. At tonight’s VMA awards, Taylor Swift was awarded the Best Female video. However during her acceptance speech an aggressive West stole the mic from Taylor, saying “Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish.” “But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time … one of the best videos of all time!” The camera then panned to Beyonce who continued to sit in the crowd obviously shocked and stunned. All we can say is poor Taylor, poor Beyonce, and Kanye you are a huge douche. See below to watch:
Madonna, Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Robbie Williams are just a few of the superstars planning to record numbers for an upcoming Michael Jackson tribute album, reports the Daily Star. Whitney Houston, Usher and 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi of Britain’s Got Talent will also reportedly be featured alongside legends like Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and Lionel Richie.
“The idea came from the memorial concert,” said a source. “Many fans asked if cover versions would be released and it seemed a wonderful idea. Some of the biggest stars in the world have indicated they’d like to take part to pay their own respects and tribute to the King of Pop. This cover album is sure to be a massive worldwide hit with fans and could raise a fortune for Michael’s favourite charities.”
Jafargholi, who performed “Who’s Loving You” at the memorial held for Jackson in Los Angeles, will record that track, as well as the song “Ben.” Carey will be singing “I’ll Be There,” while Williams will perform “Man in the Mirror.”
Former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland performed for a packed house Thursday at Tao’s Worship in Las Vegas, reports Perez Hilton. Rowland was celebrating the finale of her Bravo series, The Fashion Show.
She hit the stage to perform her single When Loves Takes Over after partying in the VIP section of the restaurant.
Earlier this year, Rowland parted ways with her manager, Matthew Knowles, the father of her former band mate Beyonce.
During her current “I Am… Sascha Fierce” tour, singer Beyonce will not allow photographers to shoot her from behind, reports Perez Hilton.
“Beyonce’s costumes are so tiny and her choreography is so complicated that inevitably she sweats,” said an insider. “It looks pretty gross, so no one is allowed to shoot her from that particular angle anymore.”
The tour began in March and ends in November, and is the third world tour for the former Destiny’s Child member. Beyonce will perform in 87 cities across North America, Europe, Japan and Australia. The tour kicked off in Edmonton, followed by shows in Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Vancouver. She will return to Canada on July 20 and July 21 for concerts in Toronto and Montreal, respectively.

Music artists and movie stars never fail to entertain me (however, I do get easily amused). Whether I laugh with them (or, in most cases, at them) or actually pity their heartaches and failures (which doesn’t happen often)—I always look forward to the next celebrity hook-up/screw-up.
And the month of April did not disappoint. Here are the five best and worst moments in pop culture that made me grateful that such somewhat petty life moments in my life aren’t publicized for the world:

5) Pink Reunites with H(e)art:
One can’t help but assume the following:
a) Pink’s estranged husband Carey Hart decided to give his relationship another try after watching the boyfriend/husband torturing, knee-breaking video his wife created for her single ‘Please Don’t Leave Me.’
Or
b) Pink and Carey realized that they are meant to be with one another, at least for another year.
Either way, I’m happy.
