What they’re wearing: Jay-Z and Beyoncé were spotted courtside at the New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets game. Hova repping the Nets in a grey snapback and grey crewneck sweatshirt, camp pants, and Air Jordan sneakers. Queen Bey wore a Stella McCartney embroidered top, black leather leggings, with blue suede shoes.
Why we love it: Let’s take a second to come to terms with the fact that neither one of us are Jay-Z or Beyoncé.
OK now that we’ve moved on let’s just appreciate the couple’s courtside style. Jay-Z is on trend in his camo pants and subtly yet stylishly shows support to the Brooklyn Nets in his sweater and cap. Beyoncé subtly pops with colours with the multicoloured monogrammed appliqués on her top and her blue pumps. The couple both sport chunky chain necklaces.
Takeaway: Showing off logos is a lazy way to try to be stylish, so do it subtly so as to not take all the attention away from your outfit. Yeah you might have paid tons of money for that designer item, but you don’t have to be a showoff about it. Just because you dropped a tons of bill on your outfit doesn’t mean you still can’t look cheap.

What she’s wearing: The lead in the upcoming The Mortal Instrument series stepped out in a black Mulberry column dress at the 2012 British Fashion Awards.
Why we love it: Collins vamps it up this dark and moody look. The column dress elongates the petite actress and has subtle striped details adding a cool design detail to the gown. Collins is on trend with her dark lipstick and adds a cool accessory with her gold chain earring.
Takeaway: Dark lips are on trend but it can be tricky to find the right colour for you. Stay away from black unless you’re going for that emo look, opt for a dark colour that’s near black so as to still have that hint of colour.

In a special Thanksgiving treat for fans, Beyonce and Jay-Z have shared some rare pictures of their 10-month-old daughter Blue Ivy.
In one of the photos, Beyonce poses with her little girl dressed in a blue (naturally) outfit. Although Blue is not facing the camera, we can just tell this little girl is going to have the best style like her mama! In a second shot, Bey also posted a black and white snapshot of her hubby Jay-Z carrying Blue Ivy through a garden.
Writing a letter to fans, the singer wrote, “From my family to yours. Wishing you a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.”
I seriously CANNOT get over how adorable this family is. They seem like the epitome of class.

If they weren’t famous and lived next door to you they’d probably be that annoying couple with a slew of “Progress” signs on their lawn. But alas, they’re famous so they campaign in even more AWESOME ways.
While Jay-Z was out singing about how he has “99 Problems but Mitt Ain’t One” at a Columbus campaign rally, Bee was drafting a beautiful handwritten letter for the Prez, which she published on her website. The two are already chummy with Obama as they hosted a campaign fundraiser at Jay’s 40/40 club in NYC for Obama supporters to meet he President (tickets cost $40,000 per head!).
Girls around the world, prepare yourselves. With Missy Elliott and Beyonce working in the studio together, you better be expecting some awesome new music that will make you feel proud about being a woman!
Confirming the collaboration on Twitter, Elliott shared a studio session in New York City on Friday with Beyonce. While it is unclear when the track will be released, Elliott replied to a fan on Twitter saying, “it was great seeing her (Beyonce) catching up because its been a while! Very inspired.”
This isn’t the first time the duo have teamed up. Having collaborated on songs such as Elliott’s “Nothing Out There for Me”, Beyonce’s “Signs” and even Destiny Child’s “Confessions”, it’s pretty clear these two ladies are sticking to what works.
So in celebration of this collaboration, here is a throwback of some the their work together.
After seven sold out shows, Jay-Z closed off the final show of his opening run in style. Playing in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York, Jay even invited his wife Beyonce to join him on stage.
Surprising the crowd during the duo’s hit “03 Bonnie & Clyde”, Jay even let Bey take the stage on her own to perform her hit “Diva”. Soon after, he joined her to sing “Crazy in Love.”
When Beyonce left the stage, Jay had to give his wife a playful slap on the behind to tell her a job well done. ”Of course I had to let BK touch the stage in BK– well BKC now,” he joked.
Proving once again that they are Hip hop’s finest, Bey and Jay have amazed us once again. Seriously, they are JUST WAY TOO COOL.

Now, I’m all for fangirling and fanboying for your favourite celebrity. I mean, I sit here all day and happily write love sonnets to Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. BUT when it comes to obsessing over a celebrity there’s a fine balance between what’s appropriate fan behaviour and what’s just stalkerish.
Case in point: madame nickjonas, who is such a massive “fan” of Nick Jonas that he/she detests anyone who has ever met him. Madam Nick Jonas uploaded a video to YouTube in which they’ve crossed out the faces of fans and celebrities who have been near him. MNJ writes in stanzas: “Fans of nick/ stop taking picture with him/ talk to him touch him/ if you go die/ it is that has me/ you have for that?/ nick is mine mine mine mine mine.”
In their message they specifically call out Demi Lovato for hugging him. Get a life and have some respect!!

Okay, now that you have the appropriate soundtrack we want to remind you to take a couple moments out of your day to appreciate the goddess Beyoncé on her birthday. Challenge: Think of a memory in your past that centers around Beyoncé. Mine involves choreographing a nameless song on Destiny’s Child album with my good friend in grade six. Fast forward to university and my roommates and I unsuccessfully tried to learn the “Single Ladies” dance, however we weren’t as lithe and flexible as we were in our youth (sad face).

Singer Beyonce Knowles works closely with the United Nations, which is something she is very passionate about, while taking a stand to encourage others to help out and give back. During the taped performance at the U.N. General Assembly on August 10, Beyonce showed a powerful force and true emotion within her performance and lyrics of the song. Behind her, was a large screen showing moments of bravery, struggle and survival.

With World Humanitarian Day coming up on Sunday August 19, Beyonce has delivered a quiet yet powerful message in a new video.
In the black and white clip, the singer stands in a field looking very natural with her hair in braids. There, she tells her viewers to take action and be good to one another.
“On Aug. 19, it’s high time we rise together. Do one thing for another human being. Nothing is too small,” she she says in the video. “It begins with each of us. Make your mark and say, ‘I was here.’”
The video then shows footage of various humanitarian projects ranging from smiling children in school to people holding hands. It’s a simple clip. But with Beyonce backing the campaign, it sure is powerful.
A video of Bey performing the power ballad ‘I Was Here, which was written by Diane Warren, will be donated and aired in the Nations’ General Assembly Hall in New York City.

There are too many reasons why this cover of Beyonce’s “Countdown” rocks. This is the “Snuggie Version” so dude dons the wearable blanket in every colour you can think of for nearly the entire video. Everyday this Tumblr user wills herself to be Beyoncé. Full of high hopes and dreams she goes to sleep at night with softly-whispered wishes but when she wakes up and looks at herself in the mirror she discovers it’s her regular face… not Beyoncé’s.
She chronicles her lofty ambition on her aptly named blog “Am I Beyoncé Yet?” She writes: “Every day I will look in the mirror to check if I’m Beyoncé and then I will post the findings here.”

While I appreciate this depiction of what the Kardashians will look like in 20 years, I don’t really believe it. This is what the sisters would look like if they aged naturally LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE but alas, they’re the Kardashians and will probably use all sorts of magical anti-aging treatments from back alley sorcerers.
Kim, of course, will disappear for a longterm “holiday,” which is obvs code for the surgeon’s office. Meanwhile, Kourtney will use something more natural like whale sperm or leaches to maintain her perfect complexion. If anyone were to stay natural my guess would be Khloe.
That said, I think these hypothetical future mantle portraits by Planet Hiltron are hilarious. Kim and Kanye look like a Southern couple from the 90s who bring their five kids to the Fry Shack on weekends. But come on, we all know in 20 years Kanye will be living in a penthouse on Mars, wearing a gold space suit he designed himself. So he won’t have to worry about aging silly.

Since the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, many have wondered what inspired parents Jay-Z and Beyonce to come up with the unique name.
So offering her fans a little insight to what inspired them, B posted a poem by Rebecca Solnit called ‘A Field Guide to Getting Lost’ on her Tumblr.
Written in blue, the poem reads:
“The world is blue at its edges and in its depths. This blue is the light that got lost. Light at the end blue end of the spectrum does not travel the whole distance from the sun to us. It disperses among the molecules of the air, it scatters in the water. Water is colorless, shallow water appears to be the color of whatever lies underneath it, but deep water is full of this scattered light, the purer the water the deeper the blue.
The sky is blue for the same reason, but the blue at the horizon, the blue of the land that seems to be dissolving into the sky, is a deeper, dreamier, melancholy blue, the blue at the farthest reaches of the places where you see for miles, the blue of distance. This light does not touch us, does not travel the whole distance, the light that gets lost, gives us the beauty of the world, so much of which is in the color blue.”
Upon reading the poem, I guess it means that Beyonce is telling us that her love for Blue Ivy is forever, just like the ocean and the sky will forever be the colour blue.

Seeing that Beyonce gave birth only about five months ago, she sure got back into shape really quickly!
In a video from her concert at the Revel casino and resort (the first of four nights she’s performing at the venue), the glamourous singer delivered amazing performances while singing hits like “Halo” and “Single Ladies” while wearing stunning, form-fitting dresses.
Bey is truly a woman I admire!
And it appears that I’m not the only one who’s amazed by the singer. Jay-Z, showing what a supportive husband he is, praised his wife on Twitter.
