The latest news that isn’t really “news” and isn’t really recent either, is that Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy broke up a while ago. Taylor, 22, and Conor, 18, broke up after a few months of dating, according to a close friend of Taylor’s, who told US Weekly. “It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They’re fine,” the friend said.
Breakups can be hard on the people involved but sometimes it can be tough for the zillions of fans too — especially when the said person sends you on whirlwinds of emotions after every breakup and new romance. If you’re having an especially tough time dealing with this one, we created a handy list of strategies that might help you recover. Except, you should never actually do them because NONE OF THESE TIPS will help you. Like ever. Except maybe the last one…
1. Tweet about your intense sorrow with the hashtag #TaylorKennedySplit or #ShameConor2012. Enlist other fans to grieve with you.
2. Trek to the most remote part of the Himalayas with your guitar, let your teardrops fall on your guitar and offer it as a sacrifice. Then wish on a wishing star that she’ll find love again.
3. Lock your bedroom door and spend all night drafting lyrics to a song for her next album. This breakup anthem will be called “Dear Conor” OBVS.
4. If you go into remission after their breakup, take the 100 percent scientific Taylor Swift breakup meter from her perspective. Then assure yourself that they’re never ever getting back together. Like ever. Here’s the chart: Read more…
Taylor Swift is basically living my dream in her new video for “Begin Again.” The singer lives in Paris and bikes along the Seine to a romantic looking cafe, where she writes letters and sips vanilla lattes. We’re happy Taylor found love again, most notably because her new love is smoking hot but also because her ex sounds like a gigantic douche.
The video is beautifully filmed and her thoughtful vintage-y outfits are eye candy. Check out the video below and all of her looks underneath.

Red will never go out of style. It’s a colour that remains classic, regardless of the season. Taylor Swift rocked a red-inspired look in Paris while filming her “Begin Again” music video, off her upcoming album, aptly called Red .
Like Taylor, this look is simple yet stylish. You can rarely go wrong with bold red pants, regardless of what you pair them with. However, be careful with secondary colours because they don’t always complement red. Unless of course you’re colour-blocking — then by all means, knock yourself out.
Here’s how you can get this look for less:

Cuffed high-waisted trousers, Forever 21, $28

Taylor Swift dropped the second single off her upcoming album Red called “Begin Again” and it’s an ode to love — maybe Conor Kennedy? Swift regales us with tales of her brand new beau, who continually surprises her by appreciating her awesome sense of humor (why would he?) and being all gentlemanly.
We also hear even more details about her horrendous ex-boyfriend, who didn’t think she was funny and hated when she wore high heels. (Obligatory speculation: Taylor Lautner??) Whoever it’s about, it’s a damn good track that we should appreciate without putting any faces on.
Anyway, the song is melodic and has that country twang we missed. It’s the perfect balance to the upbeat “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” The track quickly shot to number one on iTunes.
