Sooo I kind of secretly love this video. Before watching Cher Lloyd’s new music video for “Oath,” I couldn’t imagine having major feelings about the message of the song. Plus, I was originally put off by Lloyd casually hanging out on top of a flashy red convertible in her vintage bikini (dude, you’re 19).
Re:

But I soon fell in love.
The song is about the importance of friendship and sticking together FOREVER. You can cue the cheese all you want, but I’m pretty much inspired to strip down to my tasseled necklace-tank top thing (like the one she’s wearing) and slow-mo down the beach with my girls. It’s happening. Read more…
Earlier this week, Cody has been teasing us all (yes I consider myself one of his angels) with a sneak preview to his new music video, “Wish U Were Here.” Warning ladies: his shirt DOES come off multiple times.
The video consists of every summer essential you could think of – stylish blazers, trendy sunglasses & tank tops, chillin’ poolside, a stadium full of fans, a guitar (duh) and a bunch of fireworks. We also get to see Cody in his zone, rocking the stage with rapper Becky G. The two of them together on this track = the perfect jam sesh, trust me.
You can find WUWH off Cody’s new EP, Preview To Paradise, but we are totally stoked for his full debut album Paradise coming later this fall. You can catch him on tour with Big Time Rush running until September 21, but that’s not all. Cody will also be joining Justin Bieber’s Believe Tour in Los Angeles later this year. Things are only getting bigger for this dreamy Aussie!
Now I don’t mean to brag, but we were lucky enough to be the first people that Cody played “Wish U Were Here” acoustically for. If you missed it, no worries because you can watch it here. He even answered some lucky fan questions about being Punk’d and his thoughts on releasing new music.

It’s my birthday today (actually) but it’s pretty much all of your birthdays too because Cody Simpson dropped his highly anticipated Preview to Paradise EP.
As if we weren’t already dying for that, he also released a behind-the-scenes look at the EP photo shoot, over the new single “Wish U Were Here,” ft. Becky G.
Cody looks dapper in a series of dressed up, pared down looks — my fave being the yellow pants and blazer. He also apparently chills on the beach with his guitar, sometimes while wading in salty water. The visuals are pretty much perfect for a dating profile: “Cody likes long walks on sandy beaches, strumming love songs on the guitar and eating at a mahogany dinner table with a glass of wine grape juice (come on, he’s underage). Needless to say, we LOVE.
The full debut album Paradise will then be released on Oct. 2.
