Maybe hosts should stick to asking yes/no questions at beauty pageants? Open-ended questions seems to result in painful repetition and contradiction. Jimmy Kimmel recently parodied the common miss-takes made when answering beauty pageant questions on his late night show.

HIT: Beyoncé directing HBO Doc on Herself
We’re already predicting that Queen Bey will OWN 2013. On top of headlining the Super Bowl half-time show and reportedly releasing new music in the next year, she’ll now also direct an HBO documentary on herself. Between her and Jay Z (you’ve seen this adorable video of him talking to an old lady on the subway, right?), there’s no doubt Blue Ivy will be an ambitious, thoughtful young lady.
MISS: Channing Tatum to Take a Break from Acting

According to Entertainment Weekly, Mr. Sexiest Man of the Year has decided to take a year-long break in the near future to focus on finding a project to direct with his production partner. Take a deep breath, ladies, here’s a tissue. It’s just a break. After the kind of year Tatum has had (pretty much a movie every two months), you wouldn’t want to see him overexposed and burned out, right? Anyways, four for you, Channing Tatum. You go, Channing Tatum.
HIT: GIFs of Justin Timberlake During his Male Pageant Days

Go call Honey Boo Boo Child and tell her all future pageants are cancelled because Justin Timberlake just won all the awards (even though this took place years ago, but we’ll ignore that)! Thanks to the lovely folks at Buzzfeed, we can now marvel as Timberlake coyly plays with the audience during his young pageant days. Together now: I can’t even. This is too precious. SQUEAL!

If you thought Katy Perry was cute now, wait till you see pics and videos of the “Wide Awake” singer growing up. Her movie Katy Perry: Part of Me comes out on Blu-ray and DVD Sept. 18 (that’s tomorrow!) so we decided to celebrate with a retrospective look at her rise to fame. Get ready to say awww.

When Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson aka Katy Perry was born in 1984, she had those signature, doe-like eyes we’re obsessed with. She grew up in Santa Barbara, California with her parents, big sister Angela and little brother David.
Katy was always into the spotlight and started doing kiddie beauty pageants in grade school. “I still wear those same outfits… and still have my hair and makeup done like that,” she blogged in 2009.

Can’t anyone ever just wear that infamous crown without wearing handcuffs shortly afterwards? It seems like former Miss USA Rima Fakih is the next beauty queen to get arrested.
The 26-year-old, who was the first Arab American to win the Miss USA Pasgeant last May, was charged with drunk driving in Detroit on Saturday.
Miss Michigan is now ”very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she’s in right now,” according to the Detroit Free Press. Rima’s not the first pageant queen to make headlines post-victory.
Katie Rees, a former Miss Nevada queen, was arrested back in 2008 for assaulting a police officer.
Anna Malova, a former Miss Russia is currently facing drug and shoplifting charges and will most likely be deported back to her home country.
21-year-old Rachel Christie, a.k.a. Miss England, lost her crown after getting into a physical fight with Miss Manchester.
Tara Connor, Miss USA in 2006, grew a nasty drug and drinking problem. She was promised by Donald Trump she could keep the crown if she entered rehab.
These girls and countless others are a clear indication of what it takes to reign over the world. To wear that coveted sash and crown all it takes is a few nude photos, a couple of cocktails before you put the pedal to the medal and it also doesn’t hurt if you beat a lot of people up. See, being Miss America is easy, isn’t it?
