Update: Adam Lambert Could Face Jail Time

The photographer that Adam Lambert allegedly roughed up in Miami on Thursday has filed a police report that accuses Lambert of misdemeanour battery, reports PerezHilton.com.

According to the report, the singer allegedly took hold of the photographer’s backpack “where the camera was placed” and “wrestled [the photographer] to the ground forcefully.”

Although the report that was filed states that the photographer didn’t receive any “bruises or lacerations,” if Lambert is prosecuted, he faces some pretty hard penalties. Worst case scenario, he faces a $1,000 fine and up to a year in jail.

Lambert responded to the claims on his Twitter account saying, “Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground…. It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime- thats all I’m guilty of.”

Kanye West’s Case Dismissed

Kanye West got away with it this time. According to TMZ, Kanye’s case involving a run-in with photograhers at LAX was dismissed today. Kanye and his manager Don Crowley had been charged with vandalism, battery and grand theft after smashing camera equipment of two photographers at LAX on September 11, 2008.

In October the judge agreed to dismiss the case if both Kanye and Crowley performed 50 hours of community service. They agreed, as well as to taking anger management classes. Kanye’s lawyer, Blair Berk, and Crowley’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, went to court to prove the men had kept their word and worked 50 hours at the Red Cross. Lucky for them, the case is now history.

You may remember the incident from 2008 as Kanye and Crowley were approached by a videographer from TMZ and a still photographer from a paparazzi agency as they were getting off their commercial flight from Honolulu. The videographer caught a bit of the action, showing both Kanye and Crowley yelling at the two man, struggling with the still photographer for his camera and its flash then proceeding to slam them to the ground. While this is happening, the wise TMZ videographer continues to shoot, so Crowley grabs the video camera.

LAX officials say that paparazzi crowding the terminals are becoming a problem. Perhaps it was just a matter of time.

But it seems like a bit of an overreaction coming from Kanye West, one of Hip Hop’s most successful stars. Kanye, who recently has been M.I.A. after the Taylor Swift debacle at the VMA’s apparently still manages to make headlines.

Dennis Rodman Out of Jail, in Rehab

Rehab isn’t just trendy. Occasionally it’s necessary, especially for Dennis Rodman.

Days after being arrested for domestic battery, Rodman has checked into an outpatient rehab facility, People magazine has learned.

According to Rodman’s manager, “[Rodman's] life has not been going smoothly for the last few months since his divorce. He has not been able to see his kids. And he has been drinking too much.”

Rodman was arrested in a Los Angeles Hotel last Wednesday, after police received reports that he had abused a woman. The woman sustained injuries to her arms. Rodman is expected in court May 22 after posting $50,000 bail.
