Jason Bateman and his wife of nearly five years, Amanda Anka, are expecting their first child, the Associated Press reports.

The “Arrested Development” star made the announcement on an L.A. radio station last week. Bateman says his wife is about five-and-a-half months pregnant.

The couple is expecting the baby to be a girl. According to US magazine, the two parents-to-be are very exciting and have been poring over baby names books.

Anka is the daughter of Canadian singer Paul Anka.
