Justin Timberlake seems to be living at NBC’s infamous 30 Rockefeller building as he follows up his appearance on Saturday Night Live with “Justin Timberlake Week” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.
We already know that Justin and Jimmy make a great team, having performed some hilarious sketches on SNL in the past. But seriously, it’s like the writers at SNL and Late Night save all the good sketches just for him, which is actually great because Timberlake can carry sketches all by himself. It must’ve been that Mickey Mouse Club training.
Thank the lord because here’s another winning skit from Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon. Just watch as they do a fantastic barbershop quartet (well, quintet now) cover of “SexyBack” with the Ragtime Gals. Let’s all just find downloads of this, shall we?
Jimmy Fallon fulfilled a seemingly impossible audience request on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this week. The audience member said he loves both reggae and Barbershop Quartets but he’s never heard the two genres fused together. Well, it so happens that Fallon is a member of a Barbershop Quartet called The Ragtime Gal and they do a swell reggae cover.
The four guys, dressed in colourful striped blazers and white pants, covered reggae classic “Looking Your Big Brown Eyes.” As if the undeniable appeal of reggae wasn’t enough, adding four harmonizing men in red bow ties and straw hats is an unexpected touch that makes our heads explode.
Watch it here:

Zac Efron revealed to Conan O’Brien last night that before he was such a hot celebrity that he had to carry condoms in his pocket, he didn’t have much game. To court the ladies, he relied on song and dance, literally donning a top hat and performing in a barbershop quartet. Well, we all know how the ladies can’t resist the mustached smile of a worthy gentleman flexing his a capella vocal muscles. SWOON.
Conan didn’t buy the strategy so he got Zac and his musical sidekick La Bamba to recreate the scene. The three men sang an a cappella version of the Beach Boys’ Barbara Ann, with Conan naturally doing the high part. It’s actually pretty good!
Would it work on you?
