No, Skrillex isn’t exactly Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin but he’s what the hip kids are listening to these days. TheFineBros invited a bunch of “elders” to listen to three Skrillex songs (“First Of The Year (Equinox),” “Bangarang,” and “Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites”).
Their reactions are priceless, calling it psychotic, dark and unidentifiable. However, some of them like dubstep more than you might think.
Here are their best reactions:
“That’s a bunch of crap.”
“I would rather have my kid or grandkid listen to this than Justin Bieber or Britney Spears.”
“Kind of like a jackass in a bottle.”
“It made you pump your heart. Faster, faster, faster. So probably young people would like it, cause older people could die maybe.”
“I’m not sure what the OMG thing was. I don’t know if she was getting hurt, it was fun or an orgasm or what.”
On Skrillex’s appearance:
“I say enjoy it while you have it and then when it’s gone trim it up a little. Otherwise you look like a *$&^ like Donald Trump.”
“I’m from the 60s and I’d be very disappointed if my kid didn’t look like this, or my grandkid.”

Skrillex is fresh off three Grammy wins and right back on tour. Yesterday, he dropped the video for the title track off his latest record, Bangarang. The emerging theme? Don’t underestimate the youth.
He weaves a pretty good story into the video too. It follows a neighborhood boy who torments the ice cream man. The kids eventually grow up to perform a full blown heist, proving that the choices you make as kids really do stick with you. Is the video enough to make you pull out Skrillex’s phone number?
