While Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo won’t be writing a ‘Bridesmaids 2′ , perhaps the upcoming film ‘Bachelorette’ may provide us with the same raunchy humour as ‘Bridesmaids’ did last year.
Based on writer/director Leslye Headland’s Off-Broadway play, ‘Bachelorette’ is about three mean girls (played by Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan) invited to the wedding of the overweight friend (Rebel Wilson) they tormented in high school. Following a night of drugs and alcohol, the three ladies tear the bride’s wedding gown while making fun of her. And in a rush, the trio try to get the gown fixed before anyone finds out.
Making its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January, ‘Bachelorette’ also stars James Marsden, Kyle Bornheimer and Adam Scott. While the film has been met with some negative criticism, we’ll have to judge for ourselves when it comes out on September 7.
But, I just have one question. How did that wedding gown rip so easily? It sounded like it was made out of paper!
Doesn’t it work out so well when TV execs can plug their new season along with subliminal blatant ads for jewelry, makeup and Titanic 3D?
Former Bachelorettes Ashley Herbert and Ali Fetodowsky were officially there to restore Emily’s faith in men but conveniently served as compelling cameos too. While advising Emily about her accessory choices Ali says it’s “just the little little things that you don’t think of — things that go along with dating 25 guys!”
After their heart-to-heart they put their faces on to go see Titanic 3D in colourful cocktail dresses: “I feel like I’m there. Like I can touch it,” they say about the 3D picture. “I want to feel like how she feels,” Emily says about Rose’s feelings toward Jack.
Finally they salute everlasting love before promptly collecting their paychecks wishing Emily good luck on the new season.
The much buzzed-about bachelorette party for singer Katy Perry has finally happened.
Radar Online reports that Perry and some close friends, including fellow artist and BFF Rihanna, took the Hard Rock Hotel Beach Club in Vegas by storm this weekend. The partygoers proceeded to celebrate Katy’s engagement in the most rock star way possible…by, erm, sitting in the corner of the pool and smoking?
Okay, so it wasn’t the wild and crazy bash that we were all expecting. Still, the guests seemed pretty content to be there, especially Rihanna, who was thoughtful enough to bring along her finest red wig for the occasion.
Katy Perry and her fiancé, British comedian Russell Brand, are getting hitched sometime this fall at an undisclosed location.
Enjoy it while you can, Katy! You only tie the knot once (hopefully)!
Twenty-nine-year-old Jillian Harris has been named the latest “Bachelorette” when it kicks off its 5th season this upcoming summer.
The Canadian interior designer finished in third place in the latest season of “The Bachelor,” with Jason Mesnick.
“I’ve been a huge fan of the show since day one and I’ve always looked at The Bachelorette as, ‘Oh my god, they’re so lucky, how did they get there?’ And now I’m sitting here—it’s very surreal,” said Harris on “After the Final Rose: Part 2.”
“The Bachelor” reached new heights this season when bachelor Jason Mesnick broke off his relationship with Melissa Rycroft on “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose” to start a new relationship with Molly Malaney, who had originally finished in second place on the series.
“Although I know there are no guarantees, it is a great, great opportunity to me to meet 25 guys that are a good match for me and I fell in love once before and know that this is a great venue for me to fall in love again,” Harris continued.
