Axl Rose Vs. Dr Pepper

Axl Rose, lead vocalist of American rock band “Guns N’ Roses,” is putting Dr Pepper to task through his attorney after finding out not all customers were served a bottle of the drink according to E! Online.

Dr Pepper had announced that it would provide a 20-ounce bottle free of charge when “Chinese Democracy,” the latest album from “Guns N’ Roses,” was released.

According to E! Online, Dr Pepper had agreed to provide online coupons for anyone who visited their website on November 23, but the site crashed due to high traffic.

Although the promotion was extended for one more day, the site was reportedly unaccessible for most of that day.

Alan Gutman demands that the company extend its promotion in a letter to Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc.

Gutman also requests, “appropriate payment…for the unauthorized use and abuse of their publicity and intellectual property rights.”

Axl Rose Forced to Leave Stage

Guns N’ Roses front-man Axl Rose fell sick and was forced to make an early exit during his band’s final show on a European tour.

The BBC reports that Rose had been advised by a doctor to not perform at Sunday’s Wembley Arena show in London. He had been diagnosed with low blood pressure and low blood sugar earlier in the day.

Rose was replaced by ex-Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach on the final two songs of the evening. Bach was a special guest that night, and had appeared earlier.

Despite the incident, Rose said after the show that the band had “an amazing tour.”

“I approached this last show with equal parts determination, obligation, responsibility and insanity,” he said.

Rose had played two shows already that day, worsening his already fragile health.

And though he managed about two hours of performance that night, Bach had to take over for the set-closing “Night Train” and the encore, “Paradise City.”

Guns N’ Roses is scheduled to play a North American tour this fall.

Axl Rose Arrested for Biting Guard

Guns N’ Roses front-man Axl Rose was arrested in Stockholm, Sweden on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a security guard and damaging a hotel room.

A police spokesperson said that Rose was “too drunk to talk” and was being held in a cell to sober up before questioning, reports Reuters.

According to the spokesperson, he “caused minor damage to the interior of the hotel.” Rose is also suspected of attacking and biting a security guard and threatening a police officer.

Depending on a conviction, Rose could face a sentence as minimal as six months in prison or a fine, or as serious as up to four years in prison.

The rocker had performed in Stockholm on Monday night.

Axl Rose vs. Tommy Hilfiger

In a bizarre event reminiscent of TV’s “Celebrity Boxing,” clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger and Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose got into a fight last Thursday night at The Plumm nightclub in New York. Both were guests at a 27th birthday party for Rosario Dawson.

According to the New York Post, Hilfiger threw a fit after Rose moved his girlfriend’s drink to keep it from spilling.

“He just kept smacking me,” said Rose, 44, in an interview with L.A. radio station KROQ. “It was the most surreal thing, I think, that’s ever happened to me in my life.”

According to witnesses, the 55-year-old Hilfiger attacked Rose without warning, hitting him several times and landing a punch just below his eye.

Rose later performed a surprise acoustic set for partygoers, including the song “You’re Crazy” which he dedicated to “my good friend Tommy Hilfiger.”

Axl Rose Sued by Former Guns N’ Roses Members

Two former Guns N’ Roses members are suing Axl Rose for the second time in as many years.

Slash and Duff, also known as Saul Hudson and Michael McKagan, say band leader Rose named himself sole administrator of the band’s copyrights, jilting his former band mates out of $500,000 a year.

The complaint was filed on August 17 at a federal court in Los Angeles. It claims Rose is “suffering an apparent attack of arrogance and ego” and says “he is no longer willing to acknowledge the contributions of his former partners and band mates in having created some of rock’s greatest hits.”

Rose?s attorney, Howard Weitzman, says the singer has asked to receive only his share of royalties and that the overpayment was due to a clerical error. He said Rose had returned the extra funds to the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.

Guns N’ Roses recorded such songs as “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Paradise City” and “Sweet Child o’ Mine.”
Last year, Hudson and McKagan filed a suit alleging Rose had wrongly claimed ownership of the group?s assets after he left in 1995. The case is pending.

Rose is the only group member who is still allowed to perform under the Guns N’ Roses name. Hudson and McKagan are now members of rock group Velvet Revolver.
