We Saw Avril Lavigne’s and Deryck Whibley’s Break Up Coming

We are not saying that we are mind readers or we can see into the future, however we are not surprised by Avril Lavigne’s break up from her rocker husband Deryck Whibley. As Jordan explained in our XM radio show last week, we had an opportunity to interview Avril a few weeks ago when she was promoting the launch of her new clothing line, Abbey Dawn. We also saw Deryck there and had a quick interview with him. Although Deryck tried to be as courteous as possible, it was more than clear that he had no interest in being there, and there was something else happening behind the scenes. He just stood in the corner with a pissed off look. You can check out the interview below. Nevertheless we wish both Avril and Deryck the best of luck.

Jordan spoke with Avril and her husband Deryck about the newest project during the Toronto launch.

Judges Bench A Hot Spot on American Idol Season 9

Kara DioGuardiAs American Idol gears up for a new series this fall, its roster of judges is expanding its horizons.

Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne will be the latest stars to sit alongside Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul’s replacement Kara DioGuardi during the last round of auditions in Los Angeles.

Throughout auditions, the show has welcome Victoria Beckham, Shania Twain, Joe Jonas, Neil Patrick Harris, Mary J. Blige and Kristen Chenoweth to have their say.

Abdul abandoned the show in August in a rather abrupt move that many speculated had to do with salary. But in an interview with the New York Daily News, Abdul said the decision was more about pursuing her career (whatever’s left of it.)

Hey! Hey! No! No! She Don’t Want to be a Mama

Avril Lavigne does not want to be a mother. Yet.

In an exclusive interview with Sun Media, the punk princess said she is not in a rush to start a family, despite recently punking the media into thinking she was pregnant for Ashton Kutcher’s new show.

“I have so much I’m just about to start,” she said, talking about her current tour, the imminent launch of her clothing line, and her acting career that has begun in recent years.

As for appearing on Pop Fiction to play a prank on the media, Lavigne says it was all in fun.

“We’re just having good fun, we’re getting (the media) back and obviously not in a mean way, we’re just showing you guys what it’s like, and how out of control the rumours can be. But I thought it was a lot of fun and funny.”

Avril Defends Britney

Avril Lavigne has famously maligned fellow pop star Britney Spears in the past, but is now showing support for the troubled entertainer.

In the new issue of Maxim, Lavigne launches a verbal attack on the paparazzi for their treatment of Spears.

“No one else has it as hard as Britney,” she told the magazine. “I feel bad for her. How does she even think with all those flashbulbs? When I’m being followed, everything’s thrown off. They run red lights. They cause accidents. She can’t even walk to her car. F—ing stalkers.”

Lavigne has had her own public run-ins with the paparazzi and has been known to flip off and spit on the photogs. The singer is also speaking out against false reports that she and husband, Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley, are expecting their first child.

“Remember in high school when people would start fake rumors about you?” she asked. “Well, this isn’t high school. It’s like, the entire world.”

Perez vs. Avril; Imposter Ignites Online War

If you’ve ever visited infamous blogger Perez Hilton’s site, you’d know the celeb-critic is especially cold-hearted towards Canadian songstress, Avril Lavigne.

He’s referred to the singer as “un-hot,” a “hack”, and repeatedly criticized the pop star’s videos and commented on her “immaturity”.

A web site (supposedly created by Lavigne herself) was launched to strike back against the singer’s longtime foe. The site, PerezLavigne.com, says its aim is to collect enough signatures to “make Perez disappear from the Net with his stupid Web site.”

As reported by MTV News, the site reads, “Maybe you have already heard that Perez Hilton wrote bad things about me on his online blog,” the site reads. “I mean, he thinks in his own little world that he is the best, and he makes everybody look silly on his blog. But in reality, he is more silly! His insults have really hurt me, so please help me to kick Perez in the a– with this Web site now!”

Nicely put. However, despite claiming celebrities like Christian Bale, Nicole Kidman and Lavigne’s husband, Deryck Whibley, have already signed up to support the cause and the fact that the site looks legitimate, it turns out Avril wasn’t even aware of its existence.

“This has nothing to do with Avril,” Lou Robinson, a spokesperson for Lavigne’s label, RCA, told MTV News. “She just found out about it.”

Hilton, meanwhile, doesn’t seem to care if Avril had anything to do with the site. When asked about the controversy, the blogger took the opportunity to attack the singer, once again.

“I wouldn’t put this past Avril, but I’d hope she has better things to do with her time than start this Web site,” Hilton wrote to MTV News. “Shouldn’t she be spitting on paparazzi or threatening former songwriting partners?”

Avril Does Canada

After taking home two awards at the MTV Europe Music Awards, Avril Lavigne was thrilled to formally announce her full-stop Canadian tour. And no city will be missed. The rocker, who is currently promoting her latest album “The Best Damn Thing”, plans to stop everywhere, including cities like Victoria, where the tour will kick off, and Regina.

“I can’t wait to get back out on the road!” she said in her press release sent out Tuesday.

The Best Damn Tour is set to begin on the west coast on March 5th, and will make its way across the map. The ticket prices were not announced in the press release.

“I have the most fun when I am performing for the fans. I think that energy comes through in my live show.”

Mean Avril Makes 8-Year-Old Cry

Avril Lavigne reportedly brought an 8-year-old girl to tears recently when she rudely refused to take a picture with her tiny fan at a friend’s wedding.

According to the National Enquirer, “As [Avril Lavigne] chatted with attendees at a friend’s wedding, she was approached by an invited guest’s 8-year-old daughter, who – bright-eyed with excitement – gushed that she was a huge fan and asked the singer if she’d pose for a photo she could show her little pals. Eyewitnesses recoiled as Wicked Witch of the North screwed up her face and snarled: ‘NO! I don’t want to!’ – then abruptly jetted off on her broom, leaving the red-faced tyke sobbing.”

Previous public examples of Lavigne’s bad attitude include spitting on paparazzo on three different occasions and kneeing a man in the groin.

Lavigne Ballad Makes Friends Cry

AVRIL LAVIGNE knew she’d recorded a ballad to be proud of when all her friends started crying when she first played them her new tune WHEN YOU’RE GONE.

The Canadian pop star admits the heartfelt tune about love and loss is one of her most personal songs, and she was stunned when people started reacting emotionally upon hearing it.

She says, “It’s about the person you miss and all the little things you miss
about them.

“So many people can relate to it in different ways, whether it’s someone
going off to war… or losing someone or even just breaking up with someone, or simply just missing someone because you’re going away.

“This song was very unique for me (because) it’s the first song ever where
when I played it for the first time to all my friends… every single one of
them cried. It was the weirdest thing.”

Lavigne understood what her friends were crying about when she watched the video for the song for the first time.

She adds, “I was, like, crying when I was watching, like, the old man in the
video.”

The touching song even upsets Lavigne’s audiences when she performs the tune live.

She explains, “I did a concert in Paris for MTV and there was, like, kids in
the audience crying. I was, like, choked up onstage.” (KL/WNVTRL/GES)
